It’s happening more and more often which is annoying, evening playing dying light 2, dynasty warriors 9 empires and so on, I get the same useless error and when I look up solutions it solves nothing, I think it will happen to any game mainly because of Sony not fixing the problem, I know it’s not the console it’s Sony’s server problem I reckon which they never fix and they should fix it

I’ve been having same issues for about six months now. Yesterday i believe I fixed it. I opened up pa4 slim and replace the thermal cooling paste on the cpu on the board. I’m not sure if that’s the correct terminology. But took me about a half an hour and around $7 for the paste. Found a video on RUclips how to change. Hope this helps
If this error occur in ALL your games, the fix is basically a new board replacement from a third party repair center (if they have it). This is a hardware issue from my experience.
Slowly but surely every ps4 owner will get to this vid. On that note i was playing god of war it ran smoothly, I then started playing Spiderman and it started crashing constantly both cd so I restarted my whole ps4 but even then it kept doing it i thought it was only cds cause i tried to return Spiderman but no also apex crashed. I gave up at this point but it just sucks that it happens right before the holidays, I feel like is all sony plan.
I noticed my ps4 started doing it and has continued to do it on random games since the launch of the PS5. And all Sony says is to rebuild database, and insure the "original" HDD is installed on the ps4. Problem is my old HDD crapped on itself, and I had to replace it with a new one... :/

Here using PS4 Pro (7216B) brand new console. After the last year's october or november system update (8.00) weird shits started on my side too... Sony doing this on purpose, slowly killing all ps4 with system updates like fckin Apple did with their Iphones. Before 8.00 all worked fine.
It's a problem with the GPU in the chipset. The only solution is reballing, but it's a very complex and expensive process. I could deeply explain this problem in spanish, but my english is not the best hehe. After long time overheating the console, the little balls in the chipset expands and detaches from the contacts. When you run heavy games and need all the power of the console some contacts are malfunctioning so it stops the game

Rebuilding a the data base doenst always work either. It's been found that to me lately after the last update then it started deleting my games on it's own

I think it's possible an issue with the ram failing to communicate with the CPU. Outside of sending it off to a Sony service center it can't be fixed. It will require you to breakdown your console. If it is a memory issue then it can't be fixed. The memory looks to be soldered on the board. Most likely will require building a new pathway for memory. End users don't typically have the equipment to create new memory pathways.

Sames happening with me with cod titles. All games I order work fine except cod mw and now cold war. I had to replace my hard drive and still can't play it
@@benbartley2k187 PS support just told me to send the console back and it would take 10-14 days to get back to me. So short term fix I found a used ps4 pro on offer up for 160$ and that was my fix. I'm gonna send my old one back and then just have an extra one once it gets fixed

Take this with a grain of salt because it might not fix yours but this fixed mine. I tried initialization and everything but doing away with the wifi connection and redownloading everything worked for me.
so i still got the error with larger newer games i swapped out the motherboard and all back to new again so this leads me to believe it was mobo issue all along and the connection issues were just coincidence.

In my case it was a hardware error. Since I "backed" my motherboard from the PS4 it never happen again. That doesn't mean it is fixed for every but my son plays every day with the PS4 with no error.
I have exactly the same problem! Some of the games are running and some are don't. I tried so many things to solve this stupid error, but nothing seems to work and the more i try the greater my sadness is. I tried everything from simply changing language on my ps to rebuilding and initialising my ps4, I even change the thermal paste cause i thought that the problem was caused by overheating.
I initialised the system, but the problem still was there and it wasn't caused by the software, so i looked at the hardware. I checked Internet connection, replaced HDD, deep cleaned my ps4, so... What is the problem? One day, I gave up and showed it to IT specialist but even he couldn't find the root of this problem!

I found very interesting stuff in the information section and what confused me is that the game also was updated yesterday, but actually, it was a lie. I had a problem on my old PS4 where it checkerboarded and had the same error it looked like what happens when you take the ram out of a pc while it is on Edit: It's a modded one that I can now run Linux on and I might be able to do a health check on my GDDR5 to see what the issue is

@@leon1522 nope had to get another PS4 used one 🤦🏽♂️. It happened to me twice the first time I was able to fix it the second time I tried to fix it I couldn’t. I tried safe mode and all the options it still wouldn’t work.
Mine did it numerous times with watchdogs legion, I turned off ps4 completely took out power lead for 1 minute then plugged it back in then kept my finger on the start button until I heard 2 beeps, I was taken to a screen to rebuild my data, I then plugged in my PS4 controller with USB wire and all error history had disappeared, hope this helps I saw it on RUclips.
I don't really know what's that but what I can tell you, I've got 2 PS4 PRO (CUH-7216B), so both the same release number with the same HDD. I can play everything on my PS4 PRO #1 but the #2 I can't even open games like Metro Exodus because of this error, The Last Of Us 1 works to the end of 1st cutscene, I didn't check TLOU2. Days Gone the same error as Metro... I've got the same software 8.01 so the latest one for today. I think something can be wrong with HDD on my #2 PS4, I need to check it and maybe scan this HDD, I even tried database rebuild, reinstall system, nothing work, I don't have spare HDD to swap to check it but maybe I will try this soon, maybe that's the fix.

Once I try to load up anything in jump force it just crashes and gives me this error. It happened at first for a day or two then it stopped for a month, and now its been crash way more often now. No other games give me this problem just jump force. I'll just have to stop playing it for now till I can think.
I can’t even play sims 4 because it happens too often and I loose my game save because I get kicked out due to this error I mean I spent loads of money and I can’t even play it. So stupid it’s this new update I believe
I have same issue too when running BF5 and so annoyed actually gonna freeze multiple times when play it. I think after new update to 8.50 it does not seem quiet legit for improvement.
Myb you got a problem with the game because that happened to me like 4 or 5 times then my games work again I thank u need to check your safe mode and go to number 5 myb that will fix the problem
I got the same error code with modern warfare 2019 all i wanted to do was play the campaign after the cut sceen the game crashes and i get that error code
I think it's something to do with the ps4 itself mine does it the error code means your game has crashed and its very common on some games the only fix I've found to stop my console from getting stuck in an error code loop is to power it off completely and unplug for about a minute then resume when I start playing again it doesn't happen also note if it becoming more and more frequent with all games your ps4 may be failing
I do not know why Sony did not provide any solution to this problem and it is still stuck with some users(players), but I am sure that this matter is not out of from nothing , but rather a policy to make users(players) or customers buy a new version of the PlayStation 5 !
Delete all the games that you can't play and reinstall them again. Also backup ALL the save files and delete the original ones. Plus rebuild the database, even so, power cycle the PS4. That'll helps!
Did you ever fix it? I barely got a new game downloaded it and can play a bit of online(like 5-10mins) then it just crashes. And it’s just for one specific game
I would say it was a PlayStation software issue being that you didn't start happening until after a specific update and it's happening to multiple games but with that said I've noticed it's happening with Xbox PlayStation PC all across the board me and my friend play fallout 76 daily on the ps4 and we have a couple friends that play on PS5 and have the same issues and if we can get through one day without crashing and getting this blue screen error code we're doing good normally this happens to us multiple times within usually an hour or two on fallout 76 haven't noticed it really was any other game though I mainly notice it during events in heavy traffic of people especially if there's explosions involved......
This is an overheating problem...it was happening to me all the time...and all i did was lift the ps so it can “breathe” alot more easy..deleted the problematic game...reinstalled it...and it works just fine now...so this error is overheating wise 100% sure ;)

If done all the steps even changed the hard disc... No succes. When I have network off and start the game and when in the game turn on the network no problem. When I start the game with the network on it crashes. And games that work offline also have no issues. Seems to be related to connecting to the internet. Really strange problem only happens to my new ps4 pro. I have 5 other ps4s my main pro and all the others have no problems at all. Only with a pro I got yesterday. And it seems to mostly happen when I try to go online with certain games on the that console.

Same for me for Watch Dogs 2, Watch Dogs Legion, Mortal, Kombat 11 and The Dark Pictures Anthology… No one of these game start correctly, all crash with error CE-34878-0 in loading phase. and as opposed to Steam platform is impossible to get a refound for a game that doesn't work

I've only got this error code on these games (cyberpunk 2077, ac Valhalla, for honor, rdr2, and black desert) but for all games minus cyberpunk and Valhalla, it only showed up 5 times during a one year period, but cyberpunk and Valhalla crashed 12-13 times in 3 days, I think I'm getting it cuz the newer games where no optimized for ps4, but Valhalla stopped crashing after ubisoft patched it 2-3 times after lauch

I had this same issue with every game I fixed it by deleting all games and re-download with ethernet connection and running games with ethernet instead of wifi. My be an issue with wifi adapter causing packet loss during download.
I read that this error is a CMOS battery dead in ps4. This will result to not being able to play disc games when and if Sony shuts down server for ps4 like they will do for PS3. Games have a built in timer that requires connection to PSN to check time and date. It is Sony stupid way in attempt to prevent cheating in getting trophies.
i heard sony has a "self destruct" date per se for PS4 games. i would build for hours in Stranded Deep only to have it crash when i try to save. it's on purpose.

My Ps4 4 is a cuh 1216a. Since I have the console all the games give me the error ce-34878-0. Only Resident Evil 7 never give me that. I update my hdd for an ssd OZC vertex 4 and all games makes the wrong. I play in a monitor Viewsonic vg2239 series for DVI port. But when I play for a Tv it does not happen.
List of games that crashed: - GOW - RE 2 REMAKE - DMC5 I haven't tried my other games. I'm afraid it will crash too, the download takes very long to just try to crash or not. WTF
I just had it happen on Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I'd already replaced my HDD with an SSHD last week with no issues till today. Even though many will deny the accusations that it's a Sony issue to force us into the new ps5, I'm beginning to think so as well.
I play farming simulator 22 alot.! Every 30 minutes or so... It kicks me off the game and says the error... Always the same error. Then I have to re-do all my work again because it has not saved. I give up.😴
I keep getting this in GTA San Andreas and I crash at Easter Basin (San Fierro) where the big ship and the oyster is. Like wtf Playstation. Either that or Rockstar. If anyone knows the solution for San Andreas please help. I'm trying to complete all the trophies and 100% it.
Same here on Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, put in a new hard drive too! Thing my PS4 is on its last legs, I think its hardware, possibly faulty memory. The real problem here is the use of such a generic error code. That code is useless. I think I'm going to do one more teardown and clean my cpu / thermal paste before writing it off completely.

first turn off the internet connexion on the ps4 and if hes come the error again click ok on the x button just click ok and ok and ok and go to your game again and ihope the problem is fix but do not turn on the internet connexion on the ps4 if you turn it on the problem hes will be back again because that happened to me too on my ps4

This is happening on War Thunder too. Every 10-15 minutes. Reinitializing the PS4 doesn’t fix it either
It's a problem with the GPU in the chipset. The only solution is reballing, but it's a very complex and expensive process.
I could deeply explain this problem in spanish, but my english is not the best hehe.
After long time overheating the console, the little balls in the chipset expands and detaches from the contacts. When you run heavy games and need all the power of the console some contacts are malfunctioning so it stops the game

I think it's possible an issue with the ram failing to communicate with the CPU. Outside of sending it off to a Sony service center it can't be fixed. It will require you to breakdown your console. If it is a memory issue then it can't be fixed. The memory looks to be soldered on the board. Most likely will require building a new pathway for memory. End users don't typically have the equipment to create new memory pathways.
If you are using a standard Hard drive I'd try booting the ps4 into safe mode and rebuilding the database.
I'd also try limiting your home menu on the system menu. The ps4 runs better when it doesn't have to load all your content on the home screen.

@@benbartley2k187 PS support just told me to send the console back and it would take 10-14 days to get back to me. So short term fix I found a used ps4 pro on offer up for 160$ and that was my fix. I'm gonna send my old one back and then just have an extra one once it gets fixed

so i still got the error with larger newer games i swapped out the motherboard and all back to new again so this leads me to believe it was mobo issue all along and the connection issues were just coincidence.

In my case it was a hardware error. Since I "backed" my motherboard from the PS4 it never happen again. That doesn't mean it is fixed for every but my son plays every day with the PS4 with no error.
Iv never had these many errors before. Since playing assassins creed Valhalla it keeps crashing with that error.

I have exactly the same problem! Some of the games are running and some are don't. I tried so many things to solve this stupid error, but nothing seems to work and the more i try the greater my sadness is. I tried everything from simply changing language on my ps to rebuilding and initialising my ps4, I even change the thermal paste cause i thought that the problem was caused by overheating.
I initialised the system, but the problem still was there and it wasn't caused by the software, so i looked at the hardware. I checked Internet connection, replaced HDD, deep cleaned my ps4, so... What is the problem? One day, I gave up and showed it to IT specialist but even he couldn't find the root of this problem!
Basicly, I came to the conclusion that this error was caused by Sony on purpuse so I, the customer, will have no other choice but to buy new ps5

Mine did it numerous times with watchdogs legion, I turned off ps4 completely took out power lead for 1 minute then plugged it back in then kept my finger on the start button until I heard 2 beeps, I was taken to a screen to rebuild my data, I then plugged in my PS4 controller with USB wire and all error history had disappeared, hope this helps I saw it on RUclips.
I don't really know what's that but what I can tell you, I've got 2 PS4 PRO (CUH-7216B), so both the same release number with the same HDD. I can play everything on my PS4 PRO #1 but the #2 I can't even open games like Metro Exodus because of this error, The Last Of Us 1 works to the end of 1st cutscene, I didn't check TLOU2. Days Gone the same error as Metro... I've got the same software 8.01 so the latest one for today. I think something can be wrong with HDD on my #2 PS4, I need to check it and maybe scan this HDD, I even tried database rebuild, reinstall system, nothing work, I don't have spare HDD to swap to check it but maybe I will try this soon, maybe that's the fix.

Once I try to load up anything in jump force it just crashes and gives me this error. It happened at first for a day or two then it stopped for a month, and now its been crash way more often now. No other games give me this problem just jump force. I'll just have to stop playing it for now till I can think.

I think it's something to do with the ps4 itself mine does it the error code means your game has crashed and its very common on some games the only fix I've found to stop my console from getting stuck in an error code loop is to power it off completely and unplug for about a minute then resume when I start playing again it doesn't happen also note if it becoming more and more frequent with all games your ps4 may be failing
I tried this also but it doesn't help. It looks like an software issue to me. Before firmware 7.55 I had no issue at all.

Delete all the games that you can't play and reinstall them again. Also backup ALL the save files and delete the original ones. Plus rebuild the database, even so, power cycle the PS4. That'll helps!

I would say it was a PlayStation software issue being that you didn't start happening until after a specific update and it's happening to multiple games but with that said I've noticed it's happening with Xbox PlayStation PC all across the board me and my friend play fallout 76 daily on the ps4 and we have a couple friends that play on PS5 and have the same issues and if we can get through one day without crashing and getting this blue screen error code we're doing good normally this happens to us multiple times within usually an hour or two on fallout 76 haven't noticed it really was any other game though I mainly notice it during events in heavy traffic of people especially if there's explosions involved......
This is an overheating problem...it was happening to me all the time...and all i did was lift the ps so it can “breathe” alot more easy..deleted the problematic game...reinstalled it...and it works just fine now...so this error is overheating wise 100% sure ;)

If done all the steps even changed the hard disc... No succes. When I have network off and start the game and when in the game turn on the network no problem. When I start the game with the network on it crashes. And games that work offline also have no issues. Seems to be related to connecting to the internet. Really strange problem only happens to my new ps4 pro. I have 5 other ps4s my main pro and all the others have no problems at all. Only with a pro I got yesterday. And it seems to mostly happen when I try to go online with certain games on the that console.

Same for me for Watch Dogs 2, Watch Dogs Legion, Mortal, Kombat 11 and The Dark Pictures Anthology… No one of these game start correctly, all crash with error CE-34878-0 in loading phase.

I've only got this error code on these games (cyberpunk 2077, ac Valhalla, for honor, rdr2, and black desert) but for all games minus cyberpunk and Valhalla, it only showed up 5 times during a one year period, but cyberpunk and Valhalla crashed 12-13 times in 3 days, I think I'm getting it cuz the newer games where no optimized for ps4, but Valhalla stopped crashing after ubisoft patched it 2-3 times after lauch

I had this same issue with every game I fixed it by deleting all games and re-download with ethernet connection and running games with ethernet instead of wifi. My be an issue with wifi adapter causing packet loss during download.
I read that this error is a CMOS battery dead in ps4. This will result to not being able to play disc games when and if Sony shuts down server for ps4 like they will do for PS3. Games have a built in timer that requires connection to PSN to check time and date. It is Sony stupid way in attempt to prevent cheating in getting trophies.
i heard sony has a "self destruct" date per se for PS4 games. i would build for hours in Stranded Deep only to have it crash when i try to save. it's on purpose.

My Ps4 4 is a cuh 1216a. Since I have the console all the games give me the error ce-34878-0. Only Resident Evil 7 never give me that. I update my hdd for an ssd OZC vertex 4 and all games makes the wrong. I play in a monitor Viewsonic vg2239 series for DVI port. But when I play for a Tv it does not happen.

I just had it happen on Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I'd already replaced my HDD with an SSHD last week with no issues till today. Even though many will deny the accusations that it's a Sony issue to force us into the new ps5, I'm beginning to think so as well.

Same here on Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, put in a new hard drive too! Thing my PS4 is on its last legs, I think its hardware, possibly faulty memory. The real problem here is the use of such a generic error code. That code is useless. I think I'm going to do one more teardown and clean my cpu / thermal paste before writing it off completely.
