It was a very big song back then. I just found out Bobby passed away back in 2016. 2016 was the worst year for deaths I can remember. My mom passed away in 2016 as well. Never heard this until today. I was born in L.A. but raised in NY and I always felt Cali took the torch and kept it going with hip hop ever since the early days. The accents and the locations were the only differences, but Cali kept the true essence of hip hop culture alive.
