One of the prettiest waterfalls in the Royal Gorge is Palisades Falls (43 ft). This waterfall is located just a ¼ mile downstream of the bridge where the Palisades Creek Trail crosses over the North Fork American River. The Royal Gorge is a deep canyon behind Sugar Bowl Ski Resort and Royal Gorge XC Ski Resort. The canyon’s depth reaches as much as 4,000ft while it wraps around Snow Mountain. And at the bottom, are some of the prettiest chasms, ravines, and gullies cut straight out of the solid granite rock that encloses the American River passing through them.
Palisades Falls is also known as Rattlesnake Falls to some locals.
    Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
