It would have been ok if any other female musician did this, but for Gyakie, it is below standard. I love Gyakie, but she should put in a lot of work in her live band performances. It always seem as if she didn't rehearse well or enough. Whoever is managing her live performances should be fired. She has lots of potential but if care is not taken, she may not grow any further. 1. Her choice of songs for nights like this should be critically looked at. Gyakie has a lot of live band friendly songs like 'sor mi mu', 'sheege', control. etc. I wonder why her management don't see this! 2. Voice training. Gyakie always seem to struggle with her voice during live performances! The simple truth is that she's not having enough voice training, or whoever trains her is very poor! Even Beyonce and the greatest vocalists all have good voice trainers. It will be naive to think that you have a good singing voice so you don't need a good voice trainer. It's like Messi or Ronaldo saying they don't need a good coach to succeed. 3. Until someone points it out to Gyakie, her current management will gradually sink her career. It is not mandatory for you to stick with the same management forever! She must broaden her management with more technical hands. Artist management is not a one man's job.
