Welp, here's the list of mine:
1. Asura. Well, my first S-rank. She's one of those who are easy to learn and hard to master. A "free-roam" with strict rotation of skills, having 2 different ways of building and both being valid, and just really cool design. I wish there were more of her in AG story, even if it was some side story or her heart-link.
2. Nuadha. A lot of people do not consider playing him cuz he is an A-rank with slow DG build-up and overall slow speed. Thing about him is how drastic his aether codes change his gameplay. You can hit AGI-Mechas harder just because, or you can extend his DG storage and the length of his flamethrower, or (my favoirite) you can forcecast his skills and GODDAM his 3rd skill hits hard. I know a lot of people like Buzenbo, and that's why i like Nuadha, he's just another very solid A-rank. Oh and his design really suits me, i just love "gauntlet-wielders".
3. Ausar & Thor team. They like were made to be together as it looks like. Exceedingly good skillchain and very smooth gameplay where you have that "flow" state.
4. Marduk. Although being not so strong he has a plethora of little things in his kit, like his second skill does not have that cashback of his minigun mode' points when you equip blue code because it changes his drone mod and other really small but cool stuff. Very complex and that's what makes him interesting.
5. Hades. Game progress wise, she helped me a lot with endgame stuff and she still helps so i thought she deserves to be here.
And also those who definitely are worth to be mentioned:
- Oceanus - very good gameplay, but sometimes it is hard to distinguish whenever enemies are attacking due to his skill animations and all of those water splashes being around.
- Buzenbo - Female Vergil, that's all i'm gonna say.
- New Pact Verth - for a B-rank she has very cool skill rotation, and she has a good character design overall.
- Kingu - Chainsaw go brr is very satisfying, i'm forever grateful that they executed this mechanic this good.
- Athena - I love rhythm games, sadly she is very reliable on her functor
- A Osiris - she would've been on a list if only i got her sig.functor. With it her gameplay becomes so cool i wanna buy a bp just to speed up the process of getting it.
- Ablaze Tyr - His gameplay kinda slow but strategic at the same time, when you are trying to get most damage while building up those marks.
And the one i'm waiting the most: Flame Tyr - god i want to try him out, because i know he'll be on my list once i get my hands on him.
i mostly pull for male characters cuz i like to imagine myself as a cool anime guy xD but thor... sheesh she made me pull for her on the last 10 mins of her banner, after testing and playing her i just cant help myself but to pull for her also cuz i got lucky and 1 tapped osiris waayyy back then when she first released.
A fellow man of imagination, for me it's Anubis, Tyr and I don't have him but I really wanna get him "Oceanus"
Broooo same i was gonna skip her cause i already have a plethora of females characters but she was just too fun to use. I got oceanus to but im waiting on this next male character release
I've not played the game for too long⌚, but here's my favorites :
1) Bastet : Well mostly cause she's easy to use and cause huge amount of damage. Moreover, it's the skills where you don't have to go berserk to deal huge damages, along with them being nice and flashy, due to which I like her....
2)Tidal Song : I know I know😑, that she's not that great damage dealer, but as a starting modifier, which you can easily transcend, (novice rewards), she did the most damage when I didn't have great modifiers. And of course, I can't forget the healing💗 that almost revived my mods from dying💀....
3)AblaZe Tyr : He's the coolest male mod after Oceanous😎, again, according to me. I mean, again, as a starting mod, and as a supporting unit, he does sometimes even more dmg than bastet.... He's access key is cool, along with his polished English....
4) Hades : Welp, there's nothing much to say🤐. She's just perfect. Character build, access key, lore, damage, usage, anything you say....
5) Lil' Enlil : Cutest male mod🤗. Does pretty damage, style of using skills, uniqueness of his access key.... Next level.....
Please, no offence. This is just my little team that I like to use. Sure there's Jinwu, Men Zhang, Oceanous (👴), Anubis (Oh, how much I love the doggo 🐺🐶), etc. but my device lags due to those next level animations causing me to use them inefficiently 😅😢.....
I'm really glad to see that you've added bastet too. I mean, not too many people add her to their list as top mod...... I thought I was the only one....
I just started playing a couple of days ago. I don't know who to pull but after playing Thor's mini game, I fell in love with her gameplay and decided to get her.
#1 Thor, she's what brought me back to the game;
#2 Skadi, charge attacks and parrying is too fun;
#3 B Verthandi, her new year skin has me playing her again and her skills flow very nicely, you can do really long nonstop ability combos like:
1 >3 >1 >2 >enhanced 1 >ult or 1 >enhanced 3 >1 >2 >enhanced 1 >3 >1 >ult.
It gets crazier with Hera ult where you can do:
Hera ult> 1> enhanced 3 >1 >2 >enhanced 1 >enhanced 3 >1 >3 >1 >Ver ult,
Even crazier with Hera + Yggdrasil modified mode where you can do:
1 >enhanced 3 >1 (to trigger modified mode) Hera ult >2 >enhanced 1 >enhanced 3 >1 >enhanced 3 >1 >3 >enhanced 1 >Ver ult , and that's without warps so it could potentially be even longer with an extra 2 >enhanced 1 after the third enhanced 3 >1. I'm excited for B Vert's buffs.
#4 Tsukuyomi, "COME, THUNDER!", "Cleave the Sky!";
#5 Hades or Hel for when I'm gonna just afk and let AI carry anyways
I usually don't like melee characters but Oceanus kit is so fun that he helps me to like Anubis too
After them I like Hela Hera and Asura
I think Jackal is cool as shit. Love using him on trial. Didnt get him cause I was saving for Thor, but him and Oceanus id love to have down the road
1. Skadi - shes my favourite, she is just very fun to play and just goes all over the place
2. Hades - as you said, its pretty good watching the healh bars melt
3. Thor - tho shes not as fast as the other characters, she hits very hard, especially if teamed with ausar
4. Kuni - a unique character, its really fun to use her skills
5. Buzenbo - i like spamming her skills, and i like using her in DV
Tho all the mods i've mentions are the mods that i have built, they may change in the future
My favorite 5 mods I love using would be 1,Thor 2,ausar 3,shinri 4,bastet 5,hera but this list will definitely change when 2.0 drop :D
Thor, Oceanus, Skadi, Ausar and Hades are my top 5 following in that order.

I guess they ran her banner long ago! Hope they rerun her in the near future.
Athena - biggest bully in AG and she has the stats and self heals to face tank everywhere in current game modes without healers.
Ausar - simply the best modifier overall, great interactions, incredible survivability, easy to abuse high dmg warp upgrades, i wish she kept the scythe instead of the 10 blades but they work too
Hades - God, enough said
Jin-Ei - people underestimate the value of elemental debuffer in AG
Bastet - well i need something to curse at for jumping all over the place aside from my 2 cats irl
great video as always. I am having difficulty managing the defense for certain mods like Thor. Can you make a guide how to built up defense for certain mods?
You truly don't have to worry about defense in aether gazer but you would get more of it by your skill effects through enchanting
my list huh... i mostly uses 1.0 - 1.1 characters.. i played during 1.0-1.1 CN but then stops and wait for global.. and new units dont fancy me too much..
- Asura... A good all-rounder. She Fire Res Down, Gather CC, Enemy time stop... Energy or Energy-less sigil playstyle anything goes, also good solo unit.
- Nuadha.. I did try him first time in CN 1.0 and didnt understood his kit, but promised to build him once Global out. And he's truly some of the GOAT of A Ranks... Slow but very comfy, not button-mashing
- Innocence Osiris.. Life Drain - Life Steal. But also just because she's cute.. and also close to the protag Verthandi and Skill Chain...
- Darkstar Hela.. very chill playstyle...
- Archaic Oath Vert... just because she plays like a tank-support [Counter, give shields to team, gives Ult Charge]
Best Mods for me right now in Global are:
Shinri - Tsukuyomi (1st)
Hades - Puppet Master (2nd)
Hera - Phantasmal Dawn (3rd)
Bastet - Ailuros (4th)
Verthandi - Both A and B (5th)

My Top 5 favourite modifiers to play are:
1. [S] Shu | 2. Bastet | 3. [S] Tsukiyomi | 4. Buzenbo | 5. Hodur
To me they have the highest fun-factor!
Hades on the other hand, I find incredibly boring to play despite her being my strongest damage dealer.
I have top team instead top mod.
First I got Olympus comp with Hades, Oneroi & S Hela, this team is very strong and also having high survivability since all your mod are range and Oneroi have minimal healing to keep everyone alive.
Second I got Osiris-Thor-Heimdall Team, this team are very time efficieny and also have high survivability since I main osiris, Thor having many i-frame through skill and Ult and Heimdall being range unit. If the stage are not too hard also boss didn't hit to heavy, this comp is the best shot, I currently use this team for farming and it only took them 20 sec to clear the stage, very time efficient.
Third, I gonna say Jinwu-Lingguang-Geng Chen comp, this team hit hard also dedicated faction mean full gen-zone buff, I don't play CN but this comp is dominated META.
Fourth I gonna say Izanami-Kuramitsuha duo (maybe plus Ookuninushi post sync buff will provide mili healing when Hera and Lingguang is occupied) same reason as before, this team is dominate the META and also verry cool (literally)
And for the last one is the OG Trio, maybe it bias but I love trio Ult chain, not to mention in future Vertandi B-rank damage will outperform even S-rank Athena on physical departement
Thor and osiris will be my favorite mod before jinwu and lingguang coming. Bcs today i pulling osiris and got 2 dupes just for 30 pulls. So happy today😂
1. Oceanus, became probably my favorite before AG even dropped on global lol
2. Anubis, same as #1 lol
3. Athena, love her design, and her kit is EXTREMELY underrated assuming you pick up her sig functor
4. Thor, just an entity on her own in AG for obvious reasons
5. Buzembu, she actually carried me through alot of early content before i picked Hera and Hades, and i cannot wait until S buzembu drops

S Poseidon, while pretty straight forward, is also pretty satisfying to play imo.

If you love using Thor then Osiris would be a good pickup for that team and then save for lingguang. If not then grab hera
