This is the second CIRCRUSH song I planned to cover, and I personally think it went really well (unless my ears are lying to me). I've heard some people say that GUMI SV sounds nothing like her Vocaloid, and I hope that this cover can dispute that :)
Anyway, y'all have any guesses as to what the last cover might be? ^^

There are both tuned and untuned versions, but I did not reset any phoneme changes I made for both versions. Hope y'all like them ;-;

Nice!! Very true to the original work, with pronunciation fixes and good tuning. Interesting how different the comprehendability is between Gumi singing in her lower ranges (like your cover of Crystalline) vs her higher tones here. I hadn't heard Crystalline in maybe 4 years, and I didnt need the subtitles to understand it. Here, I did need them, even through I know this song much better thanks to Youtaite covers.
Your cover is wonderful and I dont mean to demean it - This is an interesting quirk of SynthV as an engine, and perhaps GUMI's voice bank.
Uh for the next song... Did CIRCRUSH make 3 songs? I can't remember the other one. Was it "BIOHAZARD"? I thought that (and "ECHO") were Crusher pre-CIRCRUSH projects, just as "Deja-Vu", "Again", and "Thunderstorm" were post-CIRCRUSH projects by Circus and Crusher respectively.
Thank you very much! For this cover I wanted to make her sound similar to her vocaloid counterpart. She may have ended up slightly unintelligeble due to my mixing (am not very experienced ;-;)

She sounds super similar to here vocaloid self! It's very well done, as it sounds *exactly* like GUMI in the original. She does sound so close to her vocaloid VB that I could be fooled into thinking she was@@Anemonie
Heya! I followed CIRCRUSH as religiously as a 13 year old could follow a couple of strangers on the internet at the time, here's the rundown:
So the only two songs officially released fully under the circrush name were indeed wildfire and crystalline. ECHO is Crusher's song, though Circus tuned Gumi for it, same for Biohazard. Deja vu was just Circus's song. Thunderstorm, Athena, and RUN AWAY were CIRCRUSH original demos for Cyber Diva. Again was originally a circrush song with a now deleted demo on their similarly deleted SoundCloud (I believe this is lost media now). HOWEVER, after the split, Crusher went on to complete Again with the help of the living tombstone (who they were dating at the time), and similarly completed Thunderstorm. Circus stated that Crusher was the one who came up with the majority of the compositions etc so it's likely this is why Crusher adopted those songs for herself.
(the relationship between crusher and the living tombstone is why Crusher sings their FNAF4 song!)

Now your cover seems to make me realize this thing, and now I know what this song is. I do not use these to make songs, but a lot of watching videos I did realize a more interesting thing, a lot of people say sv's sound is too soft, maybe this is part of the reason why you say the sound is not like before? While this is very cool and I do NOT criticise the full work you did (hell, I can't even work with Vocaloid lol), I feel this version lost the emotions the original had. It feels ...flatter? Idk. Still awesome how natural she sings in English now though.
Do you have any speculations as to why it sounds flat? Could it be the mixing? How should I improve on that front?
@@Anemonie Ok, I tried to compare side by side - seems to me the 'wild-fire' of yours isn't as "sharp" on the 'fire' part. It feels as if she said it more relaxed, without less energy, i.e. what I meant by flatter (please don't take the words literally, I have no proper music theory knowledge lol). The energy just doesn't go as high. It might also be the absence of some voice effects, which made older GUMI sound more robotic, but gave some other sound to the song.
But mainly, the biggest energy spike that comes from 'wild-fire' word seems to be lost for me. Badly explained: new GUMI says 'wildFire', old GUMI says 'wildFIRE'.
Also, after that comparison, I am surprised how well your rendition matches the original too. Gotta commend you for that!
Also, playing both of the versions at the same time (synced vids) sounds pretty good, as if it was GUMI with autotune lmao.

This sounds amazing! However, I noticed that the SVP is incomplete, and is missing the bridge and chorus entirely-

Hi! I double checked the svps in the folder and everything seems to be there. I suspect the problem may be on your end. If you are on SynthV basic you may not be able to view all the tracks. Only the verse and harm tracks. What you can try is to go to File --> Import as Tracks and click on the svp. This will import all tracks in the svp. Remember to also set the bpm to 140 as it is 120 by default. If you are on Basic, you are only allowed to play three tracks with singers selected (other tracks will render sine wave sounds even if you set a singer on them) so if you want to use all six tracks in my svp you'll have to split it between two files. Hope this helps!

@@flamingfirepillar6005 I don't have any specific parameters yet, but for this one I used Vivid 100% and Tension at 0.5. Also for this particular song I kept the tuning really simple instead of realistic. I'm still finding the right parameters for my next cover though, I'll update you if there's any progress.

I don't personally own any Megpoid English vbs, so this is going off what I've heard from songs using her. You can make any changes where you see fit.
Also if it helps you can set the duration left and right parameters in the voice panel to zero for an autotune-like effect
@Anemonie this is awesome, thanks a lot! (I didn't expect a follow up, lol.) I'm working on a lagtrain cover with gumi on my music channel so I've been trying to get that old vocaloid effect, and this worked really well. Although, I do think it sounds a little more like the old megpoid English without the tone shift, for what it's worth
