Okay guys I know Donggook's action may have offended people who love cross dressing or maybe just people in general. But why not think the other way. Rather than him bullying others, he prolly did that so that his son won't be bullied in the future if that habit of his develops. And about him saying 'Men should not cry' might just be his way of consoling Sian or maybe he wants his son to be stronger from now only so later on he can tackle any problem. Kids are born with more bones than adults. As you grow your bones fuse together impeding your flexibility. If you don't work on it from a young age, your muscles also tighten and weaken. Genetics can also be a factor, some people are naturally more flexible than others. This can even be seen in the same family. An example from an earlier episode of TROS is when Seola could do a full split easily, but her same-aged fraternal twin Sua could not

When I gave birth to my second child, we gave a present to our first child and said it was from the baby because she was really happy to be her little sister. Dear people who are "Fired up" at Donguk's reaction
you guys are not thinking about the whole picture. You guys are just thinking about one thing: sexuality. First of all, the makeup that he was wearing, he made Sian to take off his make up because he doesn't want his CHILDREN, not SON, to wear makeup (he made the twins to remove their makeup too). Makeup that adult use can be bad for children. Some studies show that some chemicals(e.g. paraben) in cosmetics will change one's hormonal cycles. It can make children go through puberty earlier. Donguk talking about Sian's privates? That's actually very COMMON in Korea. This actually got better believe it or not. So the parents would often joke about how proud a boy should be for having male genitals. Because of that, the boys would think their genitals are something important. So this jokes about genitals weren't just used by parents but they were used by older people around the child. Not so much now, at least I think. I am not saying that is okay, but this is the part of the culture in Korea that you need to keep in mind. Also, Sian is a child. His dad doesn't want him to be overly used by his sisters for dress up. He can be made fun of in grade school that he used to dress up like a girl not just in Korea, but anywhere in the world because they are kids. We are able to see that him playing with makeup isn't a big deal (except for the fact that children are using adult makeup that may not be children friendly) because we are adults. Children are children. I wouldn't like my children getting bullied for that either. Keep in mind that people from all over the country and world watch this show from young to old. When he goes to the grade school he made be made fun of because of this episode. Lastly, Korea is a still sexist country. The prejudice against LGBTQ is a lot better now, but the prejudice still exists.
The botton line is don't judge someone's parenting skills just after cherry picking it. Please look at the whole picture.
You guys have to understand there is a a generation and cultural difference for Donggook's view. If you ask people in the older generation, most/not all of them will have similar views not all. Especially if you are from a conservative country you will be raised with different views and beliefs. Just because his views and ideas does not match with yours, it doesn't mean it's wrong.

I feel like he is simply trying to deter Sian from being used like a doll by his sisters. I fully understand that on some level he may want to make sure that Sian grows up to be a proper manly man as he already has four daughters. But in this instance given his initial reaction I think its just his way to teach Sian that he shouldn't let his sister push him around and treat him like a little sister whenever they please.

I understand where you all are coming from with how dongguk talked to Sian when he wore make up and a dress but let's keep in mind that Sian is only 3 and it's bad for kids to wear make up and for the dress part I do think that if Sian where ever to feel like he wants to be a girl or something like that, that his dad will accept him I think it's just that he wants to let Sian know that that's not how boys 'normally' behave Sian only has sisters and he is with them all the time and kids like to copy and Sian loves his sisters very much so he will let them put make up on him because they like it and if they like it Sian likes it too (because it makes his sisters happy) I think dongguk just wanted to teach him that wearing a dress is not boyish and is not how he is supposed to act (I also think that he knows his children very well and we do not see everything that they do so it might be different than we think as well) I do agree that maybe his method wasn't the best way to do it but nobody is perfect and I think we should respect his way of raising them even if you might think it's not right, everybody has different standards and morals and sometimes his ways may not meet yours but Sian loves his dad and the other way around so I don't think Sian is very hurt by dongguk his pranks and stuff like that (my dad did that too when I was a kid well actually my whole family did and it did not hurt me, in a way I acted the same as Sian yes I cried sometimes too because of the pranks because as a kid you think they are mean and it does not go the way you like it so you cry but I quickly forgot about it later, it's just a way of raising your kid and to me I think it even helped me to not get hurt by other people so I actually think he's doing quite the good job cause again nobody is perfect but he is a loving dad and tries his hardest so let's stop criticising him all the time for how he handles Sian cause also Sian is his first boy and while he does have 4 kids already they are all girls so having a boy is way different so in a way he's still new to it let's also keep in mind that this is korea and not America or some other western country and we all know that it's quite different form western country's so they have a different way of handling things as well

TL;DR dongguk didn't mean any actual harm towards sian when he told him that he shouldn't wear makeup, etc. keep in mind that this korea, and not a western country, as well as dongguk has a right to raise his child as he likes, meaning he doesn't have to let sian wear dresses and makeup. even if you don't agree with it, you can't control it and you're not the parent of Sian.
Even though english is not your first language, i think adding full stops is doable.

Like he said a while back, he wants to tease him so he can get tougher and manlier because he lives with 4 sisters. Honestly I dont think thats a problem at all.
If he does not want Sian to wear makeup than that is his choice. Not everybody likes there sons wearing all that. Sian is a little kid, not an idol so don't go comparing him to what idols do. At the end of the day that is his child and he can say and do whatever the hell he wants. Plus he laughed when he saw Sian anyway. Be thankful he didn't act like some fathers who would go the hell off on their child for that.

But, in the same episode people from Donggooks "generation" were putting on dresses with makeup for their daughters and putting on pregnancy suits, breasts and all, for their wives, but Sian can't wear a little makeup and a dress for his sisters? I mean Kpop idols do it all the time. What if he wanted to be a Kpop idol when he got older or even an actor and now his dad has given him a complex about makeup? Which is necessary for both jobs. Yeah his reaction was just a small thing, but on top of all the other things he's said and done to Sian, it really makes me feel sorry for the kid. Would you be saying the same thing if he told Jessi/Jea/Seola/Sua that they shouldn't play sports or dress/act like tomboys because they'd grow a penis and turn into a boy?
