I value stocks based on the worst case scenario not the best case scenario, my worst case scenario on sofi is a 2x in 5 years, it doesn't mean it can't go up 3 or 4x before that, I just don't like to hype up stocks and I want to set low expectations Thanks for watching!
Can you share how the revenue is split between different forms of income for SoFi and compare it to other banks ? If student loan is where most of the loans are given, isn’t there a higher risk compared to home mortgage?
If someone "trashed" on sofi, then they really shouldnt be investing. Everything made sense, quarter after quarter. My biggest winner, Average 7 dollars and I'd absolutely love to pick up more on discount once again.

@@mm-ic1xs I agree with you. It's likely that SOFI will 2X within the next 12 months. Noto's PSUs targets for mid 2026 are $25, $35 and $45. Noto is highly incentivized to realize these targets, and I think he is the sort of "wartime CEO" to pull it off.
Way too conservative.... doing a price prediction the main goal is to give a fair, realist valuation.... which means not too low nor too exagerated.... otherwise it loses the purpose of this exercice. Management gave a guidance between 55 cents to 80 cents for 2026.... if we just take halfway... they will probably hit 67 cents by then... knowing they are known to sandbag and being conservative for their guidance. I Personally believe by 2029 They will hit an EPS of 2.50$ to 2.80$ ...which MAY reflect a share price around 100$ to 115$ ... but Im no crystal ball and we all know sometime, share price does not always reflect companie's performance. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
@williamtran8295 I wish I can hold my 46k share count till they become top 10 financial institutions, but I am running out of time. Its End Time as well. But I must say, I have good time with SoFi, make a good gain and learning about a company so much that I have not done before. Its truly investing
Nah bro. You know SOFI management is guiding for 50-80c EPS in FY26? They have always been conservative with estimates. Your call of 80c in 2029 is likely half or even a third of reality.
KSPI earns 10x (!!!) more than SoFi, while also having 10m users and similar ~30% growth and only slightly higher market cap. Also MELI, NU, GRAB look more interesting, they operate in underbanked markets. I'm bit sceptical how SoFi competes with big banks in US and what/how they can do better.
@thepatientinvestor9580 you're mentioning ecosystem, i'd like to highlight spesifically why KSPI, MELI, NU, GRAB are better each one and what is fundamental drawback of SOFI compared to them. All the above are also payments (and retail) ecosystems - they prioritize frequent daily use if the apps. With KSPI and MELI apps people pay everywhere for their daily purchases both physically and online. While NU is only loans app (ecosystem) - even if you use 2-3 products, e g. deposit and loan, it's an app to be opened once in 2 weeks at best. In US there's no chance SOFI will be a payment app like MercadoPago or Kaspi. So it's inherently inferior business. That's why KSPI earns 10x per user, despite that US users supposed to be at least twice reacher.
I like your channel; however, you're making the same mistake as many others. You assume your return will be 14%, or you'll buy at 8.53. The first part is correct, but you can't subtract the entire premium. Those $1,000 could have been invested in, for example, T-bills for the year, earning roughly $40. So, the correct purchase price is closer to 8.93.

Me personally, NU is a much better buying opportunity. Has 10x the users. Expanding into more countries, growing like crazy, and just like MELI. S tier management imo. Also the user growth for NU imo is way more fricking impressive. In just 10 years, they got to over 100 million users which imo is just impressive.

They don't have instant inter-bank transfers, a very big negative not to have zelle. Don't you think? Could it end up like Wells Fargo trying to cross sell? Just because they have an account (everyone is signing up because they are paying out 300$), doesn't mean those are all profitable customers.
???? sofi does have Zelle. I bank with them. I dont care about Zelle and dont see any reason to use it and the fraud related to Zelle is off the hook but if its important to you go for it. Sofi has it.

Why not an index fund?
@popeyeSailor-e5v which index fund? Like I said, I was new to investing, so I'm not sure about what to invest in.
