Though it had been conducted long back but still it is enlightening for us. Key learnings: 1. Although the process of the devotional service is simple but Krishna put a condition like we need to be focussed in our mind with proper attention 2. When the mind is agitated then we cannot focus properly. Mind is agitated due to the material desires and dualities 3. Some material deficiency in our life become too important for us and we keep talking about that and wasting the time. Talking about comfort and discomfort, convenience and inconvenience, difficulties and troubles, pleasures and pains etc. 4. Jada Bharath had undergone all 6 dualities mention in BG 6.7 i) Sitosna - he was offered with burnt rice to eat. He did not comment about it and just ate it. - He asked become a scared crow in the field and being neglected he didn't mind it and he accepted - his brothers ill treated him and dud not give comforts for him. They did not give shares of property, he did not care. ii) sukha- dukha - when hebwas kidnapped by decoits and took him infront of Kali where they bathed him, offered him silk clothes and plate full of food and also they carry a big knife to kill him. iii) Mana- apamana - King Raghuna sarcastically talked to Jada bharath when he was not carrying his Palanquin properly. Later he surrendered to Jada Bharath and got transcendental knowledge from him. 5. Once greatness is estimated by one ability to tolerate provoking situations. Everyone is in proving mood and nobody is in improving mood. If you are very keen to go back to Godhead, then we are spiritually focused and mind become very calm. 6. SB 1.1.2 purport - those who are aiming for the spiritual world they are not envious or compete another living entity 7. When we are spiritually inclined then we will not have any enemies. When Parikshit Maharaj was going back yo Godhead Indradev showered flowers on him since Parikshit Maharaj did not have any material desires 8. Lord's devotees are busy in bhakti sukirti only, they are not anger, they never necessarily tolerating on other's progress, do not have unhealthy comparison like greed on others, do not have bad wishes for others. Vaishnavas are deprived of all these and they are completely absorbed in the devotional service. 9. Many of the people are suffering due to unhealthy comparisons. Many people in this world would feel like what others will think of me. 10. Be cautious and don't neglect Chanting - Destroys material desires ( proof - Dhruva Maharaj) , gives determination and awakens sleeping soul Not chanting - Spiritual weakness and deviation into material ambition Regulative principles- we lose our desire for sinful habits Note: Srila Prabhupada said deity worship is strongly recommended for Grahasthas because a man or women associate each other then they have very string attachments with the bodies and when they have child they produce a deep material attachment by touching and embracing the child. One worship the deity, we pick up the deity, bath deity, offering clothes , flowers to the deity and feeding Madhupak etc. When we do it for deities then we develop attachment with deities and loose our material desires. Studying SP books - discuss subject minutely and inspect it from all angles and savor new understanding SP book study - knowledge and bliss, convinced, easy to perform austerity and succes in Krishna consciousness Hearing - eating and drinking - if an ordinary person does not eat then he will grow weak and die. To hear and explain then is important than reading. Hearing and explaining- Assimilation of philosophy We should hear the scripture and explain them Seeing the world through this knowledge Matured devotee - has knowledge, wisdom from hearing great souls, application in life leading to realization then we become very mature, very calm, cool, collected and peacefully situated in mind A special benediction for Bharat Maharaj when he is in deers body 1. Remembrance of past life 2. Detachment from home and relatives ( moved to pulaha ashram from Kulanjara mountain and hiding in a bush and listening Bhagavatam) 3. Austerity eating only dry grass 4. Deer could understand all knowledge of scriptures Due to grace of Supreme Lord, a devotee is never vanquished.
