So for example in this case of the riddle “Who lived longer the ghost or the poltergeist” the answer your character made is right, but you can also make the point that the ghost lived longer because ghosts have lived a past life as a human along with being a ghost meaning they lived longer than a poltergeist because a poltergeist can’t have lived.
@Blome in Harry Potter poltergeists are created from emotions mixing with magic the whole reason why peeves exists and is impossible to get rid of is because Hogwarts is a school full of teenage wizards and witches and that comes with said students having all their rebellious phases so on so forth . You would think with all that advanced Magic they have, instead of using passwords or riddles that could be given to anyone or solved by anybody, they would have some time of magical detection that prevents all non-professors and house students from entering instead. Makes it feel less magical and more like a glorified clubhouse lol
Tradition. The same reason the first years need to ride a boat over the lake, climb a bunch of stairs, and wait to be introduced, instead of a nice carriage ride right to the feast.
I thought gryffindors fat lady painting was in front of stairs? At least in the movies, don't remember the books but being in a hallway doesn't sound familiar
A non-being could never have been is a stupid answer. They clearly exist. Who lived longer? You do not have infinite chances. Luna explains to Harry that if you get the riddle wrong, you are forced to wait for someone else to come by and get the riddle correctly, and then enter with them, with it meant to be a "learning moment".

Is the safest. Majority of the wizards hate riddles. Is not just the riddle that keeps the entrance safe, is the idea that you have to solve a problem without magic, this keep people away from the common room. Rowena knew that wizards don't have much sense to logic thinking.
@@rav0li735 That makes no sense. Anyone, Ravenclaw or not can potentially answer a riddle with enough patience and cleverness. You don’t have to be a Ravenclaw to be smart. Heck a Ravenclaw student might not be able to solve the riddle and be locked out of their own common room.
Out of all these I'm surprised with how Slytherin is the easiest out of all the common rooms to open. Just gotta know the password and it's in English to boot.
I kinda expected for it to be in snake language 😅
@@lillianrose454 you mean Parseltongue? lol
And here the Fat Lady for Gryffindor tower likes to shake things up with "Caput Draconum" "Nimbulus Nimbletonium" (Sp?) and so on. I think during the TriWizard Tournament she got drunk off her rocker and then changed the password to "Abstinence" xD
@@TsukabuNosoratori2 The password for both Gryffindor and Slytherin changes. That’s why the Gryffindors have to get the password from the prefects each year.
You know that the Slytherin password changes because in the books, when Draco led them into the Slytherin common room, the password was Pureblood.
@@FrostyTheSnowPickle Yeah, pretty much stating the obvious here. Most people know that the passwords to gain entry change. I even said it in my comment. I'm not a novice fan, been reading the books every year once a year since the late 90's.
I wish the entrance to Ravenclaw (Ravenclaw here) riddles were different every time you went up to the door.
Hufflepuff biggest nightmare would be an Streets Fighter char due to an certain bonus stage of breaking an familiar object...
Slytherin honestly has the best entrance reveal.
Gotta say, the gryffindor entrance seems really underwhelming in comparison to the other doors
The common room sucks too. Potter fans gonna be mad. lol
I dislike that to go in and out you have to do that slow crawl as well, really bugs me lmao. I always roll through those crawl parts in dungeons but you can't even roll through this one, it's annoying!
Man Slytherin is lit🔥😍👌🐍💚
I'm a Ravenclaw, but I would HATE having to answer a riddle every time I want to enter... imagine if you really need to use the loo or the door *just* shut behind you and you remember you forgot something and it's early in the morning so you're still groggy...
I'm pretty sure there's spells or potions to take away grogginess
If you aren't a morning person, those will be the first thing you'll learn
im sure every "riddle" in ravenclaw common room door is just common sense (for us), as someone mentioned it and i agree with, is that wizards tend to solve things by magic or imaginations, where as rowena wanted ravenclaw students to be able to think like us, logics.
also, one absolute answer for the riddle isn't necessary like what our answered to open the door, you can answer anything but your reason and logic must follows the riddle.
i am a ravenclaw btw and i love it.
Just go use the restroom outside.
XD
Then you're not a ravenclaw
I wonder what the professor weasley would say if you fcked up the ravenclaw question and leave you outside.
I plan to play this 4 times for the common rooms
I think Hogwarts Legacy would be the only game that my dad will EVER like because he’s been a fan of the books ever since he got me into the books back in elementary school! The added detail in all four common rooms is just insane!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
I would be sorted to Ravenclaw based on my answers on the sorting hat.
If it were me in real life, I'd be locked outside of the common room :'((
Then the hat wouldn't have put you in ravenclaw.
Salazar Slytherin likes his own room entrance
As a Slytherin myself me too!
📗🐍💚🤍🖤
Hufflepuff common room password is the fucking Crab Rave. Best house.
Slytherin most badass
They have a password, just like the other 2. The Raven claws are the only ones who get to brag.
I agree.
We actually have animation to our house.
An actual Snake 🐍 moving.
Walking back to the dorm at 3am drunk from butter beers. Hufflepuff would be a nope for me
Griffindoor shoulda had the MGM logo as the painting lol
Hope some1 here in the comments can do a mod of it since lately now there’s been mods with the *paintings 🤣
Those riddles are the reason why I am never gonna be a Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff is too caring and I have no business in that😂
I had such a hard time deciding whether to be a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. Just looking at the Ravenclaw common room makes you feel like royalty whenever you go there, but at the same time I so love the idea of getting access to Hufflepuff. I mean, anyone could come up with a password to keep in mind or a riddle to solve. But having to knock on a certain barrel in the rhythm of pronouncing a certain name just to open a door...how much more unique can it get? 😄
Ravenclaw & Slitherin are amazing
Beginning at fifth year was turning very common by the end of the video
just wish we actually get to “sleep”, yaknow, hunker down in the beds pr sit in a chair and study, talk to those roomies we definitely have because there’s other beds in there too and no way youd end up ignoring eachother ALL year!!
1:37 Almost as interesting as the “phoenix or the flame” riddle
House Slytherin for the win.
I was sorted into ravenclaw but chose to play as a hufflepuff since it's my pottermore quiz house, glad i did or else my character would be sleeping outside constantly
I love how the password for the Gryffindor common room is literally. "Welcome To the House." In Latin.
I think Professer Weasley wants us to get some sleep because we have a big day tomorrow but not too sure.. gonna watch again to confirm
I love the Ravenclaw voice.
"It's quite uncommon for a student to begin as a fifth year... although you're the fourth one today hmm"
ladies and gentlemen welcome to the stage.... ben edict!!!!
It’s so weird seeing professor Weasley using the same lines with someone else’s character like why you cheating on me please
Is it just me, or did I hear Parsletounge when the door to the Slytherin Common room opened?
No DUH!
As a Ravenclaw, yes, Slytherin's common room is the best
Me a Ravenclaw too, but it feels so cold for me. With those stoney interior and dark ambience. Not suitable for studying activities
@@atrudokht well when you're studying magic, the dark ambience is almost perfect. grant it, ravenclaws is the most perfect for studying magic (I think) with all the starry decor. Gryffindor's would just make me want to sleep, it's too cozy and Hufflepuff's would make me lost. With all the woodsy feel, I would end up exploring in the forest and probably die, lol
Fat Lady: password?
Me: grata domum
Fat Lady: password must contain at least 1 upper case, numeric and special character
I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE ACTRESS FOR GIDEON IN DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW PARTICIPATED IN THIS GAMEEEE - I'm losing it she's the voice that tells you Ravenclaw's riddles
It's a really cool sounding voice
Does anyone know if you get to answer a riddle every time you enter the Ravenclaw common room? Or do the doors just open as you approach them, or does you character just answer it automatically like in this scene?
the door just opens for all common rooms
@@fabujestic
:( disappointing. I mean, I'd suck at it, but I really wanted to try the riddles.
@@amadandearbhte4318 yeah same lmao, maybe someone will make a mod for it 🤷♀️
Bully time

Indeed.

They should've shown these entrances in the movies, I would've loved seeing them on the big screen
They did.
Look I know we're trying to sell the magic school thing where everything is whimsical but finals are coming up and I'd like to go to bed. So kindly open the door, and don't waste my time.
Oh man, most common rooms sucks for those who've had a hangover and can't think straight or forget their password.
The fact you are okay with the idea of children drinking is very disturbing and concerning to me.
@@Whocares158 You ever been to Europe, son? Never go there if that's what you think.
They should give us a revelio page for the slytherin common room entrance.
I was wondering all along about where is the Hufflepuff common room. After I have watched the video, I feel like that is why I was being shot with vinegar!
Your first time going to your common room ,how do you know where is the bedroom inside the common room
Because you stuff/luggage is placed at the foot of your bed. Also the other students will probably tell you when room is 1st years, since they will know which room will be empty
Raven claw not just need answer, but rythm in poetry way.
That's hard - as any magic art.
I thought gryffindors fat lady painting was in front of stairs? At least in the movies, don't remember the books but being in a hallway doesn't sound familiar
It sounds like the voice for the male for the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff in this is Daniel Radcliffe 😂
i wonder. if you are parslemouth and forget the password, does slytherin commonroom would open? its a snake by the way
Probably not; it’s not a real snake
@@vbarreiro Counterpoint: Entrance to the Chamber of Secrets requires parseltongue.
@@Alphapkmn That was specifically set as the way to get in though. Different doors, different passwords
Don’t generalize that everything related to Salazar needs parseltongue
I tried to follow a hofflepuff student through their entrance but it didn't work.
Because you are not a Hufflepuff.
XD
The symbol of Ravenclaw is an Eagle not a Raven, right?
Correct. The name Ravenclaw comes from the fact that eagles have black colored talons on their feet.
🦅
Yes Eagle.
Ravenclaw is the talons of Eagles.
My Hogwarts Legacy characters are Hufflepuff 🦡 Wizard Gryffindor 🦁 Witch Ravenclaw 🦅 Wizard Slytherin 🐍 Witch too.
It's quite uncommon for a student to begin as a fifth-year.
A non-being could never have been is a stupid answer. They clearly exist. Who lived longer? We really going to sit here and debate the semantics of life and death, if a ghost is a continuation of a living person or an echo, and if a poltergeist has personhood or not just because they are a non-human incomporeal being? BECAUSE I WILL DEBATE IT DOOR!
Technically there are 5, since Ravenclaw also has a rooftop entrance
Is professor weasley here, mrs hermione weasely?
So Huzzlepuff litteraly lives on the basement.
It’s also close to a kitchen. Not entirely horrible.
It is more like hobbit home - full of flower and so cosy.
@@d4-v1d22 guess it must be very hot in there, sweating profusely
Makes sense. Hufflepuff is associated with earth.
Why does the make voice actor have a reverd that makes him sound robotic
So what did everyone pick for a house and what’s their backstory? I’m trying to see if it’s worth it to pick a second character and redo things. New to Harry Potter. Would love people’s replies.
Hufflepuff is the best ever!
lol ravenclaw has no security, you just answer a riddle (with infinite chances btw) and you're let in. other ones have a password or rhythm that only people from that house know. Hufflepuff also douses you with vinegar if you tap the wrong barrel or tap the wrong rhythm
Not only that, but the riddles are too easy. A ghost and a poltergeist are synonyms, so they have the same age (zero). I thought she was going to ask some cryptic Lore based question that no novel-reader could even answer.
@@mechwarreir2 That’s not entirely accurate; ghosts like Nearly-headless Nick *were* alive. Poltergeists like Peeves were never alive. That is the student’s way of saying the poltergeist never was alive.
Once someone not from Gryffindor knows their password it would spread to everyone and it wouldn't be much of a password. At least Ravenclaws security changes every day unlike the rest.
@@mechwarreir2 a harder riddle would be
“To all things and men I appertain, and yet by some am shunned and distained. Fondle me and ogle me til you’re insane, but no blow can harm me, cause me pain. Children delight in me, elders take fright. Fair maids rejoice and spin. Cry and I weep, yawn and I sleep. Smile, and I too shall grin. What am I?”
You do not have infinite chances. Luna explains to Harry that if you get the riddle wrong, you are forced to wait for someone else to come by and get the riddle correctly, and then enter with them, with it meant to be a "learning moment".
Damn is this on Apple Store? I can’t find it?
Imagine being a Raveclaw, not being able to answer a question and you’re just sitting there in front of the entrance like “i should buy a sleeping bag”
As a Ravenclaw, the Ravenclaw house security system is still the dumbest thing ever. If the dumbest Ravenclaw student can enter fine but the smartest group of any other house can't, then something is wrong in the world. Plus, yes, in reality on the weekends there might be some tired and/or drunk students piled up outside the door overnight because they couldn't answer the riddle.
I think I'm going to choose both ravenclaw and Gryffindor My Hufflepuff was Slytherin cuz I love to see the fat lady and I also love the color blue 💙💙 first it's going to be ravenclaw 2nd Gryffindor how great is this game
I don't get the Ravenclaw answer. How could they thing of it ?
Team Slytherin Here: 🐍
Taking Attendance:
Okay any other Ravenclaws or other house members not get the Ravenclaw password-
At this point, I feel like these house "locks" are just a gimmick. No actual practical use for them since they are this easy.
...I would have a problem with Hufflepuff...I have a terrible rhythm and a terrible musical hearing...I would probably start to prepare a sleeping bag in case ^^;
Its a good thing Harry wasn't in Hufflepuff otherwise anyone could have snuck in and killed him. If an ex Hufflepuff became a death eater they could get in easy.
you can say that for the same for any of the other houses tbh
@@hungrysherry not really. Maybe Ravenclaw because they could solve the riddle, but the other ones change their passwords often and someone who’s already left the school would have no reason to know the new password
Hufflepuff is the hardest to get into per the lore they are the only house that has never had an unauthorized user. Gryffindor is the easiest
