that's modalism which is a heresy. Christians need to stop thinking everyone else is blind when they themselves don't even know what they believe, why they believe it and where there teachings come from. The doctrine of the trinity is false. I've studied the history of the trinity, tracing from Athanasius to Constantine and thanks to the Holy Spirit, I've left that belief. I believe in Jesus Christ, He is the Father incarnated. The Father, Son, and HS are not sperate "persons" but one person who has revealed Himself in more ways than one.
It's important to know, especially when telling others about our faith, the truth about out beliefs. The Trinity has always been a hot topic in the church for centuries after Jesus ascended. It's nothing new. This is a brief summary of the history concerning this doctrine. But centuries ago, in the late 200s and early 300s, the leaders of the Christians church were trying to figure out what the NT books meant when they talked about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because we have to note that the NT books were compiled around the 3 or 4 century. And this caused confusion
The church leaders had no idea the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So out of confusion they began coming up with theories, marking out their positions, kicking each other out of the church, and breaking up (this is one of the things that caused the East and West schism which was the break of communion between the Catholic church and other churches)
and they told everyone who didn't believe in their doctrine that they would go to hell. The topic of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was one of, if not the biggest topic among Christian leaders in the year 325. The Roman Emperor Constantine who is sometimes seen as "the first Christian" emperor when in reality the guy was a pagan and saw religion as a way to expand and unite his empire. So Constantine along with some of the church bishops held a council in the town called Nicaea, and these bishops came up with the first version of the statement of faith that attempted to define the relationship between the Son and the Father. The statement they drafted is called the Nicene Creed which is what the vast majority of Christians and Christian churches have accepted as essential doctrine. And yet this is where the church got off track why? because although the Nicene creed does not contain the words "trinity" or "persons" (neither does the Bible by the way), what it DID say about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit set the church on a course towards the doctrine of the Trinity of persons. One or 2 centuries later, the Athanasian creed, another statement of faith which was composed and assembled by St Athanasius, greatly expanded on the Nicene creed and DID include the words "trinity" and persons. This introduced contradiction, confusion, and polytheism into the church even though no one wants to admit it.
(notice how none of them, not the church fathers, not Tertullian, or even St. Athanasius called upon the Lord, like the people in the Bible did. Whenever the children of the Lord wanted to know about God they called to Him and He answered. But in this situation, no one did that. None of them claim to even be inspired by God. All of this confusion was created by men trying to figure God out without the Spirit of God. God is not the author of confusion, but we get ourselves confused when we don't consult God about anything.
So what is the Trinity?
I don't know, I've never been able to figure it out, which is good for me because no one has ever been able to figure it out. When it comes down to it, even the people who believe in the trinity and teach it end up saying that "it's a mystery" that you just have to believe it. In other words, "I don't know either, but I have to believe or else I won't be considered a Christian and I will go to to hell."
But here's the idea of the trinity:
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are 3 in one. Three who's one what. 3 persons sharing one essence. Each person is God, infinite, eternal, and uncreated; and each has a distinct role, but the 3 persons are still one God because they same essence and always act in unison.
No wonder it's called a mystery because in reality it makes no sense. This whole doctrine started when people tried to use their human minds to understand an immortal God without studying and consulting with Him. How can 3 persons be One God? If we look at it this way, how can 3 people be one person? Just because those 3 people are in essence, human, doesn't mean that they are one, those are clearly 3 separate people.
For many centuries, millions of words, and hundreds of people have tried to explain the trinity and none has succeeded. The fact is, no matter how many times believers of the trinity say it's one God, they are really thinking of 3. Their lips say "one" but their mind says 3. The Athanasian creed itself recognizes this when it says:
- The Father is one person, the Son is another, the Holy Spirit is another. But hte divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is one and their glory equal their majesty coeternal. The Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, and the Holy Spirit is uncreated. The Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Lord, nevertheless not 3 lords, one Lord. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God nevertheless not 3 gods but One God...just as the Christian truth compels us to confess each person indivudally as God and Lord, the catholic RELIGION forbids us to say 3 gods or three lords.
Because of religion, no one questions anything and this is why God hates religion. It's thru relationship God blessed Abraham, forgave David, and saved us through the shedding of His blood. But religion confuses and stops people from using their brains. The doctrine of the trinity is not a mystery it's a contradiction that is taught no where in the BIble and makes no sense at all.
@@viviennebaptiste the church Fathers may have been working through their understanding the same as we do, but I’m sorry when you read and study the word you have no other options but to believe in a triune God. I can tell most who fail to believe either have a lot of pride and can’t go back on what they had already said or either the person really isn’t studying to show themselves approved. God is most definitely 3 in 1 not 1 in 3.

@Sahih Christian Yeah Sam is amazingly ignorant, just like James White, Christian Prince, David Wood ect. They always use John 1:1 to "proof" that Jesus is God ect. Let's see what the Scripture says without using their pagan phylosophy (Col 2:8) on the text.
In Scripture, *the Word* is an expression referring to the proclaimed Word of God and it is synonymous with the Good News (Gospel). The *MINISTRY* of Jesus was considered the beginning of the Word, the beginning of the Gospel. Mark and Luke open their Gospels in a similar introduction:
John 1:1 In *the beginning* was *the Word* and *the Word* was with God and *the Word* was God
Luke 1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from *the beginning* were eyewitnesses, and ministers of *the word*
Mark 1:1 *The beginning* of *the gospel* of Jesus Christ, the Son of God
Luke also begins the Book of Acts in this way: Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus *began both to do and teach*
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen
*The ministry of Jesus* from his baptism at the Jordan to his death and resurrection, was considered to be the beginning of the Word, the beginning of the Gospel.
The entire point of the Gospel of John is to illustrate how the man (human) Jesus Christ made God the Father known to the world. And not the popular pagan teaching that is going around. You need to change your mind about that false doctrine, that's another Jesus.

What did you say on how to get to heaven?
If you said because I believe in Jesus.
Or Jesus died for me.

You're saved.

In the beginning Gods created the heavens and the Earth.
Here again Plural Gods Yahweh who singularly created the World.
To the Jews They called themselves Gods They also said things like
Let Us Create man in Our Image.
They are Clearly a They who have a singular Image and a Singular Name.
They Also do EVERYTHING together as One.
They are not different Gods they are One Gods like One Perants in PERFECT Unity.
Jacob even calls YHWH in Genesis 33:20
God the Gods of Jacob recognizing both truths of their plurality and their singularity
Moses also recognizes they're plurality in Exodus 33:11&20
does the LORD used to speak to Moses face-to-face just as a man speaks to his friend.
But God said "you cannot see my face for no man can see me and live."
And of course Abraham who passed on the story of Genesis 19:24 YHWH ( God )rained fire down from YHWH (God) out of heaven.
They knew about the plurality and singularity of God just like we do Today.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
the point is this God has written it two different ways so you can understand
To the Jews He called HIMSELF Gods but he says they is one.
To the Gentiles they called themselves God but made it clear that they are different people.
Singular Name multiple Persons.
As long as you believe both truths which you clearly do You're saved.
All the evil beliefs about the trinity are usually accompanied by works based salvation like the Mormons Jws and even Catholics who believe the Trinity but try to earn Heaven which condemns themselves to hell by rejecting the Cross.
so as long as you clearly believe the Trinity which you do clearly believe that Jesus is 100% God and man which you do and believe that His death and His death alone is the only reason why you're going to heaven. And deny your works as a means of earning salvation you are saved by your faith in Christ..
And you may doubt that truth but the fact of the matter is you would not believe that truth if God hadn't died for your sins and the reality of your salvation is not based on your moment-to-moment faith it's based on the truth that God died for your sins.
so you can trust that you're going to heaven because Jesus Christ God HIMSELF died for your sins you might forget it you might doubt it but He will never forget the blood of His Covenant and the promise which He made to you in eternity past eternal life because He died for you.

I think Sam would have the spiritual gift of knowledge, thus the Spirit brings these passages visually to his mind. Marcus seems to make some very basic mistakes in his understanding of these passages.

I don't understand how anyone who professes to follow Christ casually skips over and ignores this verse.
@TrinityExamined.com It doesn't say "Trinity" in the Bible. As human beings, we create words to describe what we see and understand to better communicate with each other (i.e., the words omnipresence and omniscient are not in the Bible but we use those words to describe that God is everywhere and all knowing, which is stated in the bible). When John 1:1 says, In the beginning was the Word, it is stating that the Word has always existed. Then it says the Word was with God, meaning that the Word is a distinct person. Then it says the Word WAS God. I don't think any explanation is needed there.
Then if you read down a few verses, John 1:14 tells you that the Word is, in fact, Jesus.
So using a simple word replacement, John 1:1 reads like this... In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God.
This is proof that Jesus is part of the Godhead. I'm guessing that you are already in agreement that The Father and The Holy Spirit are God, correct?

I'm not quite sure that I understand what you mean by the Bible does not teach the doctrine. Of course it does;
- Again, John 1:1 explicitly tell us that Jesus is God. Genesis 1:26 says let "US" make man in "OUR" image.
- John 8:58 says before Abraham, I AM.... And in the next verse they pick up stones to try to stone him. Why would they do that? FYI, Exodus 3:14 tells you who I AM is.
- Colossians 2:9
- Colossians 1:15
-Philippians 2:6-7
-John 10:30.... Even the Jews claimed Jesus' statement was blasphemy, 3 verses down, which is why they wanted to stone him.
C'mon, Jesus' Diety is all over the Bible.
Regarding, Godhead, it is throughout the Bible, as well. See;
- Acts 17:29
- Romans 1:20
- Colossians 1:19
- Colossians 2:9

If Jesus is not God then Peter would be violating the 1st and 2nd commandments when he called Jesus his Lord and his God. FYI, Jesus did not reject him when he said it, btw. Sure there are other gods, but they are false gods, in the same way that idolatry creates false gods.
- Jesus says he is the beginning and the end in Revelations. God says the same in Isaiah
- Again, John 1:1 calls Jesus God
- Philippians 2:6-7 explains how Jesus emptied himself and explains that They are equal.
- Also, why would the Jews want to kill Jesus, specifically, for blasphemy?
- And again, Jesus called himself I AM
- Jesus calls himself the Truth. 1 John 5:6 also calls the Holy Spirit the truth
- Isaiah 9:6 calls Jesus Mighty God
Again, the Bible does not say "Trinity" but when you read it for better understanding, you spot what is happening. Brother, I truly believe that you believe what you do but are you certain that you have a good understanding of the Bible's and Jesus' claim of Deity? I remember when I thought the same as you, but when I prayed for a better understanding and studied, the Truth was revealed to me. The Triune God is all over the Bible.

So I've been a Christian for about 20 yrs and this was the hardest video I've ever watched lol. However, I never had to worry about Trinitarianism bc it was already implemented into all the lessons and sermons in my church. However, I was never taught the definition of it and why it's important versus anti-trinitarianism. So watching this video, starting out with bare minimum definition of modalism and Trinitarianism I've had to constantly stop and start and read and check scripture while following along lol. I'm sure Bible students can watch this and have no problem, but this was a workout for me lol.

We are insulting God to think he needs help from a man to come up with a doctrine that is not written, especially that has contradictions. Jesus is a person that's accurate. But God is not a person. John 4:24 said that God is Spirit. What kind of spirit? He is the Holy Spirit. That's why Jesus told his disciples that when you see me you see the Father because they're seeing the Word who was God manifested in the flesh (John 1:1, John 1:3). Jesus did two things, He speaks in behalf of the flesh and blood to set an example to mankind and He also speaks as God. He sets examples to mankind like my 'Father is greater than me', ' No ones know when the Lord return', teaching them how to pray, minister, and baptized. And Jesus is God when he said, 'Before Abraham I Am' , ' If you don't believe that I am He, you will die in your sins'. 'I am the Way the Truth and the Life,' He walks on water, He heal the blinds and sick and of course, the Resurrection.
Behind that flesh is God doing all the operations. That's why 2 Cor 5:19 said
that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
This is why Jesus said I am not doing my will but the will of the Father because not only God is doing all the operations behind that flesh but set another example to mankind that the Spirit of the Lord gets all the credit, and not the flesh, which got a mind of its own.
Did you know Tertullian himself said 'Try to explain Trinity you will lose your mind, try to deny it will lose your soul'. Why the man who came up with this doctrine can't explain it? Google that if you think that's made up.
When you look at the Trinity ask yourself these questions. Which one is your Savior, for the Scriptures teaches there's only one Savior. Which one is your Lord for the Scriptures teaches we have only one Lord. Which one will sit on the Throne...By the way 'The Right Hand' in the Scriptures is a position of power it does not mean right next to Him.
Where in the Scriptures teaches Jesus is the second person. Where in the Scriptures teaches the Holy Spirit is the third. Do you see the disrespect and blasphemy Tertullian did towards God? Has a matter of fact, he broke the 3rd commandment.

I, myself, have been struggling to wrap my mind around the concept of the trinity. And recently, I literally came up with that exact same comparison that he made at 38:11 to try to help me mentally picture it. I even commented the comparison in David Wood's stream 2 days ago. Then someone replied to me, basically telling me that what I said was an example of modalism and not the trinity.
Now I'm far from having the intellect and understanding that you, Sam, David, and a number of your viewers have, so I'm not educated on all of the different denominations, concepts, theories, and linguistics. I had never even heard of modalism until the person in the chat mentioned it. I googled the definition and still couldn't wrap my mind around it.
But watching this stream is helping me to better understand the trinity and how it differs from modalism, even though it makes my head hurt and gives me mental fatigue. Lol
I have no idea who the guy in the video is, but I kinda empathize with him, as I've had pondered some of those questions, myself. I could be wrong, but his questions seem genuine and it appears to me that he's asking them in an attempt to seek and understand the truth, rather than trying to prove a point. I kinda wish some fellow Christians in the live chat who were shaming and calling him a heretic for asking those questions were a little more graceful, but maybe they're more familiar with him than I am, so I digress.
To me, he appears to be a believer who had been mainly feeding on the milk of the word, and is now digging into the solid food, and like me, is finding himself having a hard time chewing and digesting it. Which is uncomfortable to think about if he's currently acting as a teacher, when he appears to be just a babe.
Personally for me, the difficulty isn't out of me not liking the taste, nor do I wish to spit it out. But rather, my jaw muscles and stomach acid is trying to adjust as I mature and grow until I'm am able to feed on solid food.. Hopefully that analogy made sense, as I'm currently tired and mentally drained. Lol

@@michaal105 I think I only have a vague idea/understanding of how it might be.. I can't really think too deep on it though, due to the anxiety and mental fatigue that I experience from overthinking, since the seizure I experienced a few years back.
I just know that they're 3 different persons and 1 being. All in unison. There are things surrounding it that I have questions about, but I'm having a hard time recalling what they were about off the top of my head.
Maybe you should put Marcus's name in the title, so that people who listen to him will find this easier and get a chance to hear orthodox doctrine.

Hey guys. Love you brothers in Christ. I love that people study the word. It's beautiful. I appreciate your perspectives. My goal is for the body of Christ to unite. I believe this isn't a heaven or hell issue. I believe we who have the Spirit can tell when someone else has the Spirit and I have met people on both sides who do. So then the question becomes is it a matter of pride who is right and who is wrong? The Bible says great is the mystery of Godliness and that we will know them by their fruit!! I can see fruit from people on both sides. So why sit and fight amongst eachother especially in these times we are living in. Mamy years ago i made a video because people kept attacking me who claimed to be Christian. They ignored the fruit and ignored the evidence that God was with me.... pretty much because they didn't agree on me with something. That is pride. I believe it is sad that we can't just come together and let the Spirit flow. Well some of us cant. I walk in unity and power with people from both sides. It would be beautiful to see the body of Christ come together agaisnt the powers of darkness instead of continuing to argue and debate amongst eachother. Love you guys. Praying for you all.

From my life and the desire to know God(YHWH) the scriptures have always presented a pluralistic unity that is not able to be understood but trusted for it is presented clearly in the all scripture which in general is provided to us as a true expression of YHWH love for us and for us to know.
Jesus never prayed to God the son yet Jesus had a God. Who was his God without a son in it? Jesus said he goes to his God and the disciples God so they had the same God without a son in it. Who was this God without a son in it? Clearly not a triune one. Is your God the same as Christ's?

Christians need to stop thinking everyone else is blind when they themselves don't even know what they believe, why they believe it and where there teachings come from. The doctrine of the trinity is false. I've studied the history of the trinity, tracing from Athanasius to Constantine and thanks to the Holy Spirit, I've left that belief. I believe in Jesus Christ, He is the Father incarnated. The Father, Son, and HS are not sperate "persons" but one person who has revealed Himself in more ways than one.
It's important to know, especially when telling others about our faith, the truth about out beliefs. The Trinity has always been a hot topic in the church for centuries after Jesus ascended. It's nothing new. This is a brief summary of the history concerning this doctrine. But centuries ago, in the late 200s and early 300s, the leaders of the Christians church were trying to figure out what the NT books meant when they talked about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because we have to note that the NT books were compiled around the 3 or 4 century. And this caused confusion
The church leaders had no idea the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So out of confusion they began coming up with theories, marking out their positions, kicking each other out of the church, and breaking up (this is one of the things that caused the East and West schism which was the break of communion between the Catholic church and other churches)
and they told everyone who didn't believe in their doctrine that they would go to hell. The topic of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was one of, if not the biggest topic among Christian leaders in the year 325. The Roman Emperor Constantine who is sometimes seen as "the first Christian" emperor when in reality the guy was a pagan and saw religion as a way to expand and unite his empire. So Constantine along with some of the church bishops held a council in the town called Nicaea, and these bishops came up with the first version of the statement of faith that attempted to define the relationship between the Son and the Father. The statement they drafted is called the Nicene Creed which is what the vast majority of Christians and Christian churches have accepted as essential doctrine. And yet this is where the church got off track why? because although the Nicene creed does not contain the words "trinity" or "persons" (neither does the Bible by the way), what it DID say about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit set the church on a course towards the doctrine of the Trinity of persons. One or 2 centuries later, the Athanasian creed, another statement of faith which was composed and assembled by St Athanasius, greatly expanded on the Nicene creed and DID include the words "trinity" and persons. This introduced contradiction, confusion, and polytheism into the church even though no one wants to admit it.
(notice how none of them, not the church fathers, not Tertullian, or even St. Athanasius called upon the Lord, like the people in the Bible did. Whenever the children of the Lord wanted to know about God they called to Him and He answered. But in this situation, no one did that. None of them claim to even be inspired by God. All of this confusion was created by men trying to figure God out without the Spirit of God. God is not the author of confusion, but we get ourselves confused when we don't consult God about anything.
So what is the Trinity?
I don't know, I've never been able to figure it out, which is good for me because no one has ever been able to figure it out. When it comes down to it, even the people who believe in the trinity and teach it end up saying that "it's a mystery" that you just have to believe it. In other words, "I don't know either, but I have to believe or else I won't be considered a Christian and I will go to to hell."
But here's the idea of the trinity:
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are 3 in one. Three who's one what. 3 persons sharing one essence. Each person is God, infinite, eternal, and uncreated; and each has a distinct role, but the 3 persons are still one God because they same essence and always act in unison.
No wonder it's called a mystery because in reality it makes no sense. This whole doctrine started when people tried to use their human minds to understand an immortal God without studying and consulting with Him. How can 3 persons be One God? If we look at it this way, how can 3 people be one person? Just because those 3 people are in essence, human, doesn't mean that they are one, those are clearly 3 separate people.
For many centuries, millions of words, and hundreds of people have tried to explain the trinity and none has succeeded. The fact is, no matter how many times believers of the trinity say it's one God, they are really thinking of 3. Their lips say "one" but their mind says 3. The Athanasian creed itself recognizes this when it says:
- The Father is one person, the Son is another, the Holy Spirit is another. But hte divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is one and their glory equal their majesty coeternal. The Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, and the Holy Spirit is uncreated. The Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Lord, nevertheless not 3 lords, one Lord. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God nevertheless not 3 gods but One God...just as the Christian truth compels us to confess each person indivudally as God and Lord, the catholic RELIGION forbids us to say 3 gods or three lords.
Because of religion, no one questions anything and this is why God hates religion. It's thru relationship God blessed Abraham, forgave David, and saved us through the shedding of His blood. But religion confuses and stops people from using their brains. The doctrine of the trinity is not a mystery it's a contradiction that is taught no where in the BIble and makes no sense at all.

If you look into the Hebrew names and Greek terms of God, it will show you a lot MORE than English since it wasn't a language back then.

Father= Conscious of the Creator
Son= The physical body of which that consciousness intered in to
Spirit= The Devine awareness and knowing that tied-linked the physical body to that consciousness.
I knew of the Trinity but didn't know how it worked until someone kinda taught me, but I figured it out myself. But then he/she said if you don't know this then your not a "True Christian" 🤣🤣 I'm like what! are you serious?

I have a pressing question for Rabbi Sam Shamoun, and I need to be corrected if my understanding is wrong. I'm a Trinitarian, so that isn't the problem. The "problem" is Mat 24:36, where only the Father knows the hour. During the 80s, I took some seminary extension classes, but I don't think my memory is faulty regarding this. My professor knew Greek and Hebrew, so I had faith in what he taught. This is his explanation in a nutshell: Since Jesus primary audience were the 1st century Jews, He spoke in terms they (not necessarily "we") would understand. The traditional Jewish marriage began with a lengthy, legal marriage contract beginning when the woman accepts the proposal. The son who anticipates this marriage, returns home, builds a private housing area attached to the family home for him and his official bride. The son didn't know when his father would summon him to get his bride (usually around a year later), and only knew when his patriarch gave him the green light. The marriage ceremony was held, and it was all tied up legal and binding. The reason I'm asking is because over the decades, I've heard no one else offer this explanation, so I'm wondering ... can you please clarify this for me? TIA!
@Vickson Leji I don't remember if the professor used that particular verse, but he might have. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge in the past 40 years, so I only remember his basic explanation. At least you've helped me think I didn't invent the explanation. Since we, the bride of Christ, are still in the betrothal stage, I thought it was a good analogy. Christ said He was going to prepare a place for us, His bride (John 14:3). Joseph, wishing to put Mary away privately, indicates it is a binding agreement that needs legal remedy.
I've come across this as well. It's a good background understanding, but it doesn't REPLACE a plain reading, it merely enhances it, it helps explain it.

Just a few more questions :). There seem to be many variations on the Trinity doctrine. Thanks for clarifying the separate persons that are the Father and the Son. Questions that need answers:
While on earth the Son subjected himself to the Father's will, as Sam states. However, after Jesus' resurrection, Paul seems to indicate that the Son is still subject to the Father, saying that the "head of the Christ is God" at 1 Cor 11:3, and in that same letter, chapter 15 vs. 25-28, Christ again subjects himself to God, after God subjects all things to the Christ (seems to agree with Mat 28:18 that all things were given to the Son, by the Father, apparently). It would seem like what the Son possesses has been given him by the Father, to whom the Son is voluntarily subject.
Also, two texts seem to indicate that the Son was created, far before the material creation. He is called the "firstborn of all creation" at Col. 1:15, and "the beginning of the creation by God" at Rev. 3:14.
Even the expressions "Father" and "Son" seem to indicate that the Son would be subordinate to the Father. They are not presented as brothers or twins, but as a father and son. Any comments? I apologize if I missed something.

you are wrong because Scripture is not clear to the point of dispensing the clear proclamation of the faith by the Church.... that is why protestants are constantly projecting new doctrines onto Scripture: they don't want to obey the doctrine of the faith as witnessed by the Church - in fact, if you don't want to elcome the teaching tradition of the Church since the first centuries, you will easily impose your own convictions onto Scriture, and will become blind to the true biblical teaching

I love Marcus, I also love Steven, I've watched and listened to them both personally way before I knew they even debated. They are both gifts from the Lord and do have good teachings and messages. This is a really good video for understanding The Trinity. However, let us not bring Marcus down. We all see in part and know in part. Yes, I do believe he needs to humble himself in this circumstance. Yes, I do believe he is in misunderstanding when it comes to this topic. However, I also know he does have a fruitful ministry and has spoken things that have given me insight and has impacted my life. Marcus even had a dream/vision where he saw the Trinitarian Symbol (the triangle loops) come down into a golden bowel and a lid shut over the bowel (something like that). Now in my mind, that was God saying that there IS indeed a trinity, but they all "fit" into the category of Almighty God. Unfortunately, Marcus did not interpret it this way. That doesn't make him a false teacher/prophet, let us keep him in our prayers and continue to lift each other up in the Lord. Thank you for the clear and concise answers and explanation of the Trinity. Blessings.

Just as a side note I got into a brief discussion with him on Facebook concerning politics. He is elevating the president to dangerous levels. He considers himself a prophet to Trump and often makes public his “revelations” for the president. His beliefs about the Triune God are fallacious and he infuses politics into his religion to dangerous levels. I cannot continue to watch Marcus’ videos in good faith. Jon, This video rocked. Yes, stay away from him. Originally, I found him through a Bible study leader that posted his videos about 2-3 years ago. I sensed something was up with him even though his spoken word was uplifted. So God had warned me back then and I informed my friend that he did not believe in the trinity so he may have had other beliefs wrong as well. I then questioned my judgment recently of what God had revealed to me. I made the mistake of congratulating the message of repentance since it is in part of what I had received as well. Marcus could very well still have a gift or manifestation of prophecy but the interpretation is poor. I've seen a few cases like this. Either that or I am being blinded by optimism and he has no such thing of God.
Anyways, what I receive currently is that Marcus likes to argue and is still internally puffed up. He does some good things but his lack of understanding causes many to stumble into foolishness. He's now saying that the government is using coronavirus as an excuse to persecute and mock Christians since churches must be closed. He has very poor insight. The main message that I received of God about coronavirus is that it reveals intentions and aspects of people's character more clearly. It should make us all examine how we have been living life, how we respond to our neighbors on the daily. Life was disrupted, and we have the opportunity to examine it. We also have the opportunity to seek God and pray for others and ourselves. We must pray for the healthcare professionals. We must pray for the affected families. We must not get distracted by the selfish desire of this being the end of days or time for the rapture. We need to seize the opportunity to show compassion when we are able to do so reasonably. The virus came due to the folly of man and will remain taking lives if the foolishness persists. Our God is not one of foolishness, and we are called to love wisdom. Christians will be mocked regardless of our decisions, but we should still make responsible ones that help provide hope and takes into consideration the safety of those around us.

That double talk was alarming and then listening to sam and how be unpacked the Bible immediately showed me that there is something wrong with Marcus Rogers theology

Elizabeth Salvatore you would think that a prophet who is receiving revelations from God would have at least been given a revelation about the true nature of God (the Trinity).
In my study of the Bible, the Trinity is so clear in both the OT and NT, this is why I get exasperated with anti trinitarians. You can show them all the verses you want but they will never be moved from their presuppositions concerning the Trinity.

@@viviennebaptiste Our flesh is weak because it is easily led by things of the world. Our spirit on the other hand is stronger because our spirit know that we need God and is willing to do it. We all have a constant battle between our flesh and our spirit when we sin. Hopefully this kinda make sense.

Personally, I'm not big on the idea of Trinity. The thousand of years it took to put the Bible together. None of the authors/prophets/believer/disciples/apostles/judges used the word "trinity". A lot of what Sam said is his interpretation that does not acknowledge OT scripture that God is one.
None of the Scriptures use the terms rapture, communion, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, or monotheism either.
Not a fan? Going by your logic, the word fan shouldn't used here because that doesn't sounds like spiritual language

Just for clarity, Marcus Rogers has never once claimed to be a “prophet” he always refers to himself as “brother Marcus” and goes out of his way to explain that he doesn’t consider/call himself a prophet.

John chapter 17:20-24: This scripture describes love and oneness, Jesus says that others can be one like He and the Father are one. Does that mean we become one being and the same person? No, it means we are in agreement and share godly attributes that are like God. We can be trusted to do anything by faith because we have gained the perfected attributes of faith, charity, and patience. This points quite clearly to the truth that God the Father and Jesus are separate individuals but godliness is a transcendent unity.
