Great finds! Love that BOC album all their early stuff is solid and a great live band Beacon Street Union does have some clunkers but lots of psych albums do I was surprised how much I enjoyed that Electric Prunes Mass album didn’t expect much their live album is pretty good Take care ☮️
Hey cheaper the better! Saving the money where u can ! Good call on that BOC ! That prunes I wish I had , yesterday I was listening to easy rider soundtrack cuz it has the track kyrie elison. I’m with on on saucerful ! Great album by the Floyd… btw I do remember, vinyl Rich saying first punk album was got it live , I went and checked mine it was stereo
I don't know if you have read up on Mass in F minor, but the Prunes play on that LP in a minor way. They brought in The Collectors to do the bulk of the album, they were a Canadian band that have two good psych albums on Warner Bros.
I read up on it a little, but must have forgot a lot of that information. I knew they played on this one more than release of an oath. I have one of the collectors albums in my wantlist so I must have known the connection. ✌☮
I think with Mass in F Minor you just have to forget the Electric Prunes name is attached to it and accept that it's a David Axelrod release. Same with the follow up Release Of An Oath, which is even better. You then buy Axelrod's following trilogy Songs Of Experience, Songs Of Innocence and Earth Rot and all 5 fit perfectly together. His lps are amazing... absolute gems. Great that you can get such lps for so cheap. I paid £15 for Groovin' back in the early 90s but that's the UK market for you. Been years since I had Beacon St on...I must revisit all of their lps. Great finds as usual. Cheers Nigel
Agree. I'm on the lookout for release of an oath and all the David Axelrod stuff. Cheap stuff is my favorite! Beacon St Union is a wonderful album once you get past the blues covers. Thanks for watching! ✌️ ☮️
Incredible finds there Sorin! You have the best luck finding rare stuff. I definitely need more Blue Oyster Cult in my collection. Have a great weekend. 👍
I just saw a copy of that Stones album in my local antique store for 8$ but I don’t think it was Mono, I should have checked. The Easy Rider soundtrack has a track from that Prunes album on it. Nice finds
Vinyl Ritchie said to wait for mono copy as the crowd noise is way too loud. Didn't know about a that song being on the Prunes album. Thanks for watching! ✌️
Some nice finds! Hard to believe that BoC album is 50 years old. I've never seen that color insert before. I don't think any pressing of it here in Canada had that. Cheers from Canada.
The mono Got Live If You Want It is so much better than the stereo. The last two songs on side one are the two non live tunes. Side one and side three of Second Winter are great. The first three songs on side two are so generic 50’s. But the last song on side two is the Bob Dylan cover, Highway 61 Revisited, and it is fantastic. When I got the third Electric Prunes I was disappointed. I don’t see $1 bins in record stores anymore.
Honestly, I fell asleep before side 2 of second winter ended. I need to revisit the album. The 3rd prunes album is completely different than the first 2 so I definitely understand that. I think Saucerful of Secrets gets better the more I hear it. Dollar bins are pretty hard to find now. Thanks for watching Ritchie! ✌️
In my opinion, Mass In F Minor is an album which only gets better with repeated listening. It’s even gotten to the point where sometimes those Latin chants get stuck in my head. Regarding the history of the album, I believe that The Electric Prunes as a whole worked on the first three songs, whilst the second side featured only their drummer, bass guitarist, and vocalist. I also think it to be one of the first (possible?) concept albums with hints of prog rock thrown in for good measure, but who knows. Anyways, apologies for my ramble and have a good day!
Hey man. Can't really go wrong with early Stones. Especially for a buck. 60's pop is not my bag. I've been trying to sell off my Johnnie Winters collection since I don't listen to any of them. Blue Oyster Cult I never dived into. Beacon Street Union is a solid psych lp that you can get on the cheap. The other Prunes albums are better, but that has its moments. I'm all about Saucerful Of Secrets. Nice seeing you again. Peace.
Early stones is wonderful. I love 60s pop, but I understand lol. Johnny Winter has a select few albums that I enjoy. Blue Oyster Cult is an amazing band! Other prunes albums are way way better. Thanks for watching! ✌️
I love the early Stones stuff! I’m not sure if I have that “live” LP tho so now it’s on my radar! Beep beep Beep! (Radar sound effect) I am a fan of 60’s rock & pop so yeah I dig the Rascals! BOC! Hell yeah! My fave band! Love the intrigue of the inner sleeve with the dogs on one side and then dead on the other Weird huh? Man I’m def a Sly Stone fan but not sure why I haven’t picked that one up yet! But I’m on the case! One of my very first psych LPs I added to my collection was that Eyes of BS Union! I got an amazing copy really cheap a few years ago and I’m sure now the originals are pricey! Great find! Man I don’t know how many times I’ve passed on that Electric Prunes record I really need to grab a copy before it gets beyond my budget. I feel like I’d really dig it! Next time I see it I’ll make it mine ! I guess I’ve never heard anyone hate on that Pink Floyd record and even if I had, I’d still grab it! It’s one of the last PF albums I want that I don’t have yet but Im sure I can get a copy! Great stuff as always Sorin! Good to see your channel getting lots of subs and views! You deserve it! Peace ✨✌️👽✨
Live is a great one! Rascals, BOC, Sly, all essentials. Beacon St Union is still under 20 bucks! I'd definitely recommend picking up the Prunes album, but be prepared for weirdness lol. I feel as though Saucerful of Secrets is often at the bottom of people Pink Floyd albums list. Its a great album. Thank you so much for your support! ✌️
That live Stones the 1st punk LP? It all depends on your definition of punk, I suppose. Early proto punk would be The Sonics- "The Witch" 1964 and "Psycho"-1965 also Los Saicos 1965 garage from Peru. Listen to the song "El Entierro De Los Gato's". They only had six 45s in Peru, but that was enough for this band to gain a legendary status.
I only really called it that because of the vinyl ritchie video lol. Definitely depends on the definition. The Sonics are amazing! Definitely proto punk goodness. I'll check out Los Saicos. Thanks for watching ✌️
I have that Rolling Stones album too, it's great, Vinyl Richie was right, the first punk album! Cool find with BOC, great band, have most of theirs. Except for the Johnny Winter and Sly Stone LPs, I have everything you showed in my collection, you got great taste! Beacon Street Union is pretty good, I like their first better than Ellis Island, their 2nd LP. Electric Prunes, so cool you found that, I remember finding my copy in cut outs for $3. Nice find with Saucerful of Secrets, early Pink Floyd was just so trippy. Great dollar bin finds! Really enjoying your channel, looking forward to seeing what you'll find in the coming year.
Ellis Island is the second album by the Paupers isn't it? Beacon St Union's second is the Clown Died In Marvin Gardens. Early Floyd is amazing! Thanks for watching! ✌️
Mordecai Smyth does a great cover of Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun.
I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the suggestion! ✌️
Thanks for the straight story on these albums😀gonna keep an eye on the Electronic Prunes album✨✨Yes, I really like the Pink Floyd album too
Thanks for watching! ✌️
Enjoyed your video. Cheap records are great. Sometimes you find a gem.
For sure! The gems come around fairly often if you dig around enough. Patience is key! Thanks for watching! ✌️
great finds! Great video!
Thank you!
Proof that there are still good records to be found in the cheap bins. Great video.
There are many cheap records waiting to be found! Thanks for watching! ✌️
Thanks!
Thank you so much! ✌️ ☮️
Woah electric prunes for a dollar is awesome. I found between the buttons at a thrift store a few days ago
The electric prunes one was actually not a dollar, but was still pretty cheap. Rollings stones in a thrift store is sweet! Thanks for watching ✌️
Great finds! Love that BOC album all their early stuff is solid and a great live band
Beacon Street Union does have some clunkers but lots of psych albums do
I was surprised how much I enjoyed that Electric Prunes Mass album didn’t expect much their live album is pretty good
Take care ☮️
BOC is great! I was also surprised how much I enjoyed the prunes album. I'm on the look out for a copy of live in Stockholm. Thanks for watching ✌️

Agree! I didn't know that track was on the easy rider soundtrack. Apparently, the mono is a much better mix. Thanks for watching! ✌️

BOC is killer! The difference between US and Canadian pressings is always interesting. Thanks for watching! ✌️

I must admit the last time I played Mass in F Minor I did like it. The second Pink Floyd is almost as good as the debut.

I agree, there are some great psych jams on that album. I didn't know who played on what, thank you for sharing! Rambling is always welcome here! ✌☮
@ No problem, keep up the great work!
