Please make more videos with Dr. Peter Lang...he is a true teacher...I am an cardiovascular resident learning for my final exam and I appreciate his work ...
I think this is the best TOF pathophysiology video I have ever watched! I will really like to see this doctor explaining some other CHDs (maybe more unusual or complex ones like Truncus Arteriosus). He kept it simple but still gave lots of interesting details. Right length of video, right amount of info. I will definetely recommend it to other colleagues.
Thank you for your clear and approachable explanation, from a father of a now 6 year old TOF-PA child. Two RV-PA grafts later you'd never know he was a CHD kid, but at day 4 and satting mid 60s he was that severe TOF-PA kid you described. Thank you again and keep on your fantastic work and sharing the understanding.
This is exactly what I was looking for, the specific embryological cause! And I didn't think this would explain so much per se, but it made it so much easier to remember the whole presentation!
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my password. I love any tips you can give me
@Joel Brandon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Clearly articulated the information. This is explained concisely & well paced. I didn't need to do a rewind. I can remember & understand everything that was taught. Thanks for video.
This was SO helpful to me in understanding ToF while I was pregnant with my daughter, particularly in explaining the misalignment and how it resulted in mild ToF in my daughter vs the more severe kinds
Thank you a lot! I am writting my diploma thesis - TOF and its actual problems with surgery treatment and it helped me a lot to understand the basic pathology of TOF!
I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, I am 29 now and had two open heart surgeries. I am 32 weeks pregnant, doing good so far, echo looks normal. I hope delivery will be ok.
thank you very much. i am a paramedic and have a great understanding of the heart. the cgi representations are a little unclear. by you drawing it 2 dimensional y it finally makes sense. very well presented.
I'm a little confused that if the overriding of aorta causes obstruction of blood leaving the right ventricle (ref: around 2:29 ) through the big VSD- (so that it can somehow empty the right ventricle and enter left ventricle), how is it then, mixing is not prevented by the same phenomenon? I also didn't understand what was conveyed in 7:01 to 7:35. I get that, not all tetralogy disease kids will present with cyanosis and that mostly cyanosis of newborn is due to transposition of great arteries. then what is meant by " tetralogy being the most common form of cyanotic heart disease"?

A masterpiece.
1:17 Anatomy
6:57 Pathology
9:47 TOF with mild stenosis
12:13 TOF with sever stenosis
14:18 TOF with Pulmonary Atresia
explained in 10 minutes what 30 other lectures didn't. great work.
