brilliant talk and lessons as always, Captain! been a huge fan of yours since your TEDxGateway talk. good politicians should also encourage intelligence disobedience and we need to stop turning leaders into Gods. nobody's perfect!
Excellent articulation as always by the Captain! This also reminded me of a book by Ira Chaleff, Intelligent Disobedience: Doing Right When What You're Told to Do Is Wrong... And he says 'There are some values worth standing up for, regardless of shifting cultural mores.' I will surely include this in my decision-making session next time :)
Beautiful message... highlights the wisdom required about when to obey and when not to for the larger good. It needs 360* view of the context & the situation even at the cost of probable punishment later.
This most certainly is a vital ingredient of any organisational culture. Culture, because rules and legalities will easily be circumvented by bullying and cover-ups. To begin with, the leader of the day and a good cross section has to believe in the concept. Then it needs to be pursued watchfully on the one hand and sensitively on the other. The latter, to foster a will to accept correction. This fire will live as long as someone operates the bellows committedly.
Raghu, your background knowledge, articulation & Command over language is par excellence…. Thanks for sharing your views on so many important issues. Keep at it 💪💪
This is an excellent commentary on a very important subject. Korean airline example was on the spot. The sad thing is that the same cause was attributed as a contributing factor to another crash of a Korean carrier Asiana (flight 214) on July 6 2013 at San Francisco airport.
Sir you are one of the finest Gurus in the Business world that I have come across, thank you for always adding so much value to our lives …
