MIXBOX IS NOW ON DEAL - €169 !! - Just went to the Ik Multimedia site and today (Monday 7th June) they seem to have started deals on everything! 169 euros for MixBox!
@@toddlask yeah, today i checked and their site shows a €169 euro price! (everything seems to be on 'reduced' offer today) but i did the video over the weekend when it was showing €299 euros.

I use it on every project. So fast. I find my self clicking for it before any other plugin to get the sound I want. I use it during production. I still like using my other plugins (many of which are ik multimedia) for mixing. But Mixbox has helped make the mixing stage much easier.
BEYOND Legit. I have a zillion plugins and I still bought this. Spot On review. Totally agreed best bang! The emulations are YEP!!! Thanks again for the revciew.
You did one of the best and most comprehensive tutorials on Drum designer when it used Ultrabeat. I would love for you to do an updated version with the new quick sampler. I remember that it was not just a case of swapping out samples because of various issues including adsr settings and smart controls. I would love to see how you would make your own kits but keeping smart controls and everything else that can effect the setup. The new drum designer is great but we need an updated tutorial. Pretty please. Paul.
i've done a few Quick Sampler tut's already (search channel or 'quick sampler'). not sure if they cover what you want. I think you are talking about a new Drum Machine Designer tutorial showing new stuff you can do with the Quick Sampler behind it working as the engine? I have covered some of that. Search our channel for Quick Sampler.
One of my favorite folks on RUclips, like a comfortable friend! I’ve been using this on my iPad, but there are so many modules I’m not familiar with. As always, I’ve picked up great info from you. Will you be doing some in depth reviews of some of your favorite MixBox modules? 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Take care.
Own it, great for the production-side of things. When it comes to mixing I still have to load it up because of the Tone-Control which I absolutely ADORE on Vocals. Nothing I own compares or does even come close. All of the compressors, EQs, Reverbs, Delays - nice to have, but I already own them. For me it's about the Amps, distortion, modulation, filter and the Lunchbox-design. To be honest I don't use it enough.. you can spend days playing with it. I used to need to load up AmpliTube in order to have access to more sound-design-effects - the mixbox makes me happy and also includes lots of the filters that come within the Syntronic Synths. Frankly, it is not that light on the CPU when you load multiple processors in - has something to do with the CPU not being able to distribute the work to multiple cores when all of the processors are in one plugin. So loading the T-Racks 5 version of those plugins one by one is kinder to the CPU - which is one of the reasons I only use the Tone-Control-Amp in mixing. But for production that's mostly fine - at least for me! The value is insane on this one. Incredible.
@@akagerhard no no it's all good man, 👍 you should do some reviews for plugins when we get the new site launched next year: Preview: ruclips.net/video/la8zLLSt75w/видео.html
@@dancetech wow, that's a lot of amazing work you put in there. I know very little about the history. The bits I know are basically when I buy a plugin-emulation of something and read about why they are emulating that piece of historic equipment (wether it be processors or instruments and drumboxes). What I can do is use plugins, run them through an analyser and judge what stage of production I'd use them for. I'd be happy to do that - I'm more comfortable with talking about plugins I own and use a lot, but taking a demo for a spin should be doable too.
I picked up IK's Total Studio 2 Max last year and I’m happy as can be with it. The emulations are rock solid. Neve, API, SSL, Fairchild, Pultec, etc. etc. With the help of your reviews of them ALL-thank you very much-I’ve become pretty comfortable with the IK stuff. I also like the Plugin Alliance stuff. Lots of other great stuff out there and the IK covers so much ground it’s crazy. The Mixbox wasn’t out yet when I bought my IK stuff. There are some extra pieces in the Mixbox. I definitely prefer the full-sized and full-featured IK plugins but I expect the Mixbox plugs can do 90% of what the full plugs can. IK has sweet sales on bundles sometimes so choose wisely.
I've had this for about six months now, and use it on everything I record. My only wish is for a gated (or non-linear) reverb processor like the Alesis units from the late 80s - MIDIverbII, etc. What makes this an attractive proposition for me is that you can authorise multiple computers without having to faff around with iLok - I'm looking at you Waves! My only gripe about the SSL bits is you can create the 4000 strip but there's no HPF/LPF part, so to workaround that I'd use two instances of the SEM filter without resonance and overdrive, or just use the HP/LP on the Neve pre-amp.
People might want to know, they can get the Max 4 bundle (which includes MixBox) for 299EU. Not sure if this is just a temporary sale but thats todays price. Well worth it. I am a huge fan of T-Racks 5 which comes with the Max Pro bundle. I bought mine a while ago on a black friday sale. I think I paid 100EU. Still, the 299 price is worth it.
Finally Apple Silicon compatible! I'll be using the TrackS from this rather than TrackS 5 itself because Apple Silicon TrackS will be v6. Got this as a freebie last year in one of their Grope Buys.
mixbox is on sale this month for $/€79.99 excl.VAT (€95.19 with) + they have their bogo sale, which includes 3 other products of equal or lesser value + i have 53 'jam points' lol i seriously have to consider this
how to you deal with the sound volume when you mix on headphone as we use these presets the sound just shoots up which can harm our ears, please give some tip on how to deal with it?
@@vcodev108 if the volume jump is that bad, mute the track, load the preset, check meter, unmute the track. Pain in the butt, but it will save your ears and you should start to get to the point where you know what fx is killing your gain.
well i suppose not if you are doing more trad' mixing AND/OR if you are a more advanced user who can work out how to do what Mixbox does in some of its more creative FX based patches. About half of the Mixbox processors/fx are NOT included in T-Racks, & it's those filters, modulators etc that play a greater role in EDM sound construction rather than trad' mixing - although having said that, if you experiment with the DAW host plugins & T-Racks plugins you already own, you could achieve many things Mixbox can do, but just not as easily & conveniently. Depends what music you make & how big your wallet is. So for instance, the couple of examples I showed at the start with the drum & bass loops. You already have the inverse reverb in T-Racks, so combine that with an amp/cab rig to get the speaker cabinet sound, also some eq & compression and you'd get pretty much the same thing. Another example... Mixbox has the Slicer which I used in the bigger song mix, POST a reverb, to slice up the reverb with a Slicer pattern which was then auto-panned and a few other modulations. If you dont have that Slicer tool you could use a gate - POST any reverb - triggered from a midi pattern to slice the reverb output with a pattern determined by the midi pattern notes (which means you are in absolute control of that pattern, rather than relying on a preset in Slicer), and then feed the whole lot into a auto-panner, flanger, whatever & you'd get something similar.... the process inside Mixbox is just easier and of course you can save those created ideas more easily to load up on other projects etc more quickly. Much of the Mixbox sounds ARE achievable with individual fx plugins, but you have to know how to conceptualise those signal flows and it's a bit more fiddly to set them up & then save & re-use them in future 👍
@@dancetech I was only thinking of this as a traditional mixing tool ala OmniChannel or McDSP 6060. It’s not for me right now, as Ableton can do quite a bit with its rack system.
