  • As a vow to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki is sworn to protect his town and the people he loves against all threats. Faced with tragedy and bound to duty, the lone samurai must voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.
All of the music in Trek To Yomi started with a foundation built entirely on the intention of respecting the historical musical culture of Japan. Inspired by the films of Akira Kurosawa, the game is based in Edo period Japan and historically accurate. The score features only instruments available during the Edo period (flutes & winds, taiko drums, kokyu, Gagaku, and percussion instruments). Gagaku, a traditional Japanese orchestra, portrays the music of Yomi - the Japanese afterlife. As the player fights deeper into Yomi, the music becomes more abstract and atmospheric as the player progresses. All in all, scoring Trek To Yomi was an exploration of Japanese cinema, Japanese music, Edo period culture, Gagaku, and the sonic exploration of bringing them all together.

At the beginning of the game there is a moment where you learn how to sprint and suddenly something strange happens. The Ocarina of Time like Village Music dissipates and only one string instrument is left repeating one note until a bell joins in. This alarm bell is getting louder as you move Hiroki closer to the village gates and it's so crazy how it's able to distract you from the string instrumant vanishing as well. There is now only the bell calmly but intensely ringing alarm. Until you pass the Gates and clamoring adds to the bell's steady ringing. People unfortunately didn't engage with this game enough. I've played it like 8 Times for a Review and there is so much stuff to miss and find and explore that is just passing people by because they expected and wanted a 2D Sekiro. And not fucking Art. Ahaha. So sad honestly. If you somehow haven't bought this game yet and ended up in this video and somehow read all of this - GO BUY THE GAME! For yourself and for your friends. If we don't buy this stuff it will propably stop being made.

Respect to the crew but man, now I understand why we need 180-degree rule. Was it a reference to something or just inexperience? Or am I not understanding something?

Ok, this is not a dialogue, but still we have 2 people speaking and it doesn't feel right to me then in the beginning one looks right and another left but then camera shows them from opposite angles for a part of shots.
Maybe it's just a problem for me
