Another thing to note is that you can only have a maximum of 8 frames in animated tiles. (Of course this could change in the future through updates or plugins)
Edit: 21:45 You can also start with "Dude2" if you set him to the initial members in the database under "Initial Information" in "Config 1"
Edit 2: 25:58 Fixed background makes it so that all real battles happen with that background instead of the terrains set background.
Edit 3: 29:14 The Quests and sidequests will appear in the home base IF you have one set up. They can be repeatable or not depending on the requirements, etc...
Overall good video. Hopefully this brings more people to the engine.

This is really helpful - thank you. Any more SRPGS tutorials coming? How to set up stuff like Fire Emblem, how to set up basic mission events, and how to create unique FE skills like close counter, death blow, etc. would be super cool.
even tho i don't use SRPG Studio, this is a really cool listen and will surely be helpful to those that do use it.

@@DestroyerHivePro It's easier to use, has better workflow, and some stuff that's excruciatingly hard in GBA FE is super easy in SRPG Studio. Making custom items and terrain for example.
Also the scripting API is surprisingly easy once you figure out how it works. I even made a skill that doubles the weapon triangle.
Also it's legal, and you can make commercial games. That isn't an option in GBA FE because it's a rom hack.

This was helpful, but I wish you'd gone more into detail on the passable direction. I can't get it to work right using my tilesets, and the documentation on it is terrible.

@@markyjoe1990 how versitile is it? I mean, I know it is mostly for fire emblem, but how much can you realistically make something different like changing how the stats affect damage calculations or creating a new class?
@@umbrellaeyethingguy4665 A pretty damn good amount. You can change basically all the calculations so long as you understand the scripts.
