Even stacking baled hay is interesting when told by Brian and documented by Megan.
As a senior citizen, the thought that kept going through my mind while watching this was, "It'll take 30 years before they realize how much fun they had that day." It doesn't matter if their hay project makes money, or even if it pays for the equipment. What matters is they were doing this together.
The other thought that went through my mind was a B52's variation ... "You're living in your own private Iowa."
:)
Thanks Paul! Sometimes perspective is the difference between frustration and enjoyment. My wonderful wife, and camera crew, is less fond of the hay process. I too have my reservations, but when we commit to something, we follow through and see it to it's fruition...to a fault... BUT I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing a project to it's completion. I know that's why I've found success in many of my life's pursuits....not because I'm especially good about any of them, but because I try hard and finish. I do enjoy the process, and ironically, much with rearing children, it's fun to look back and think how "hard" it was, then to realize it was all worth the hard work. I think Megan and I differ a lot in this area of life. It has been known to cause some contention between the two of us, but she and I usually work through it.
I for one enjoyed hay for a change. You guys do a great job.
Awesome! Thank you! We have some more farm stuff coming soon, and lots less money in my wallet in about 2-3 days ;) Stay tuned!
Как всегда интересно! Аж захотелось самому заняться покосом и сбором сена. Жаль на моем участке можно только подстричь лужайку. Работа camera crew как всегда на высоте!
It is fun, for a while, but this small machine does have a tendency to beat me up when I'm running perpendicular to what were the rows in the back...this land was used for row crop (Corn and Soybeans) prior to our buying the land.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Какое-то время это весело, но эта небольшая машина имеет тенденцию избивать меня, когда я бегу перпендикулярно тем, что были рядами сзади ... эта земля раньше использовалась для пропашных культур (кукуруза и соя) к нашей покупке земли.
great to watch you doing this as im a city slicker and this is very interesting to watch something different you could say lol love the property especially all that open area you guys have : -) cool thankx for sharing this brian and FilmCrew lol cheers from Melbourne
Glad you enjoyed! This has become a sizable piece of our lives, and we do enjoy it...but need to figure a way to make it more profitable (more - LOL...correction...Profitable). We are after all, "in good faith, working for a profit incentive". I guess there's always next year to make profit :(... I actually want to make EXTRA mini bales, and sell them to people as a novelty, but still for animal feed ;) This would be a lot more profitable, but we still have the ability to make the rest, the bulk of the hay for cattle.
Nice narration, Camera Crew. Nice flying 'er driving, Brian. :-) Interesting to see if you make enough on that to pay for all the equipment you had to purchase...let alone all your labor. I already some snow here, not enough to shovel, but still very early snow. Have fun, stay healthy.
We will make enough to pay for everything if we can just work till we're about 150 years old ;) I'm working on making that equation even more lop-sided right now :) Stay tuned, and see what's coming next - LOL!
What kind of baler do you guys have
Hey Brian, Uncle Mikes friend here. I've been telling my wife about the tractor you have for several weeks now. I'm gonna need to get something like that soon. Any chance you can do one video that shows all your attachments? Can you do fast mowing of a very large lawn with that?
I talked with him about you at our Grandma's Birthday party the other day!
We're trading it off on Tuesday, in fact. So sad!!!
Yes, you CAN mow with it, and mow fast. We have a 60D mower with it, but I've never mowed like that with this tractor. I HAVE mowed with a 54" drum mower, for cutting hay. I have a playlist for this tractor, showing all sorts of stuff about our experiences. I would HIGHLY recommend a 1025R to you or anyone with a small acreage. The only reason we're "upgrading" to a much larger tractor, is that we kinda knew we'd be short on power an size with this tractor. I love it, but you quickly figure out there are some serious limitations on a small tractor like this. This doesn't stop the subcompact tractors from being expensive though!
Depending on what you hope to accomplish with it, it can do a great job. Lots of power in a very small package.
If you want to talk about it, we could do so...shoot me an email here... phillipsfarmsolutions@gmail.com ...if you wish. I work tomorrow and not sure how crazy the day will be until it's upon me, but would love to share with you more, if you're interested.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Kamari Marley instablaster ;)
@Antonio Dominik thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Antonio Dominik It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
You guys have a beautiful piece of property where I live we don’t even have a 10th of that property I’m still looking for places to fly my planes. 😉
We looked for 7+ years, and we love it...but it was very expensive. Maybe if I take hay for like 2000 years, I can pay for the land ;)
Hey Farmer Brian, I'm #2 Again! LOL Now You Need A Polaris 700 4x4 or Larger To Pull Your 20' Trailer To The Other Side Fields To Load & Transport The Hay Over!? Hmmm? Plus You Need To Sell Some Hay &/or Buy Some Cows Etc. To Use It? LOL
We want to market this in the dead of winter, but if someone wants to buy it now, we'd sell it without any questions.
Have you found any buyers for your hay? I think those small round bales would be great for horses, sheep, and goats.
We agree, perfect for small farms, goats, sheep, but who knows with Horses...they seem to be very picky eaters - LOL! Do you want to buy some??? Our email address is in the description...
Where did you get the 59 1/2 3 point hay spear?
Front was from Titan Equipment - bit.ly/3eXH9R7
Fork Lift Carriage bit.ly/3gBmcgB (this has the spot for the spears)
Rear was from another place online, but I'd highly recommend Titan since they're so much better to deal with.
Neat Attachments - they were 49" spears...not 59.5"...FYI. I would have loved longer spears, but not sure if they would fit. The forks were designed to receive shorter spears in the bottom as stabilizers, but we wanted two longer spears on the bottom because of the mini bales.
You should get yourself a little four wheeler that you can ride around when you’re filming him
With a trailer to haul bales of hay...
We saw some little golf carts that look like jeeps, and I want to get two...then we can use them to get around and the kids can use them for fun!
That would be fun too, but these spears work really nice! I just need some more practice, but stay tuned....the tractor you see in the next video may be a bit bigger, and way more capable ????
What is the model number of the front hay spear for the 1025r
The front spears are JUST 49" spears ;)
The Fork Lift Carriage is one part, and the spears are the other part.
Fork Lift Carriage bit.ly/3gBmcgB (We bought it as this 48" Fork Lift bit.ly/2XmLkA5)
Boa noite amigo
Boa noite!
You need to get yourself a little flatbed trailer you can haul a lot more.
Yeah, but hauling that over the bridge might not be possible. We have some new farm stuff coming real soon ;) Hope you'll check it out!
Brian Phillips I definitely will, So Cool 👍🏻
HAY NOW! :)
Agreed!
Never even knew what state you live in.
How?!?!! I thought you watched all my stuff ;)
