      In New Zealand we usually bestow a knighthood/Dame to those who achieve above and beyond in their chosen fields, In sport Scott Dixon is yet to be recognized, this obvious anomaly is utterly preposterous. this Government has given knighthoods to lesser recipients, Unless it's Rugby, Yachting, Athletics, your chances are almost null and void, even the late great Bruce Mclaren was looked over... sorry for the moan. peace

      +earl klugh That's because Dixon isn't competing against the world. Indycars are not the highest pinnacle of motor racing - that's F1. Knighthoods were not given out as freely as they are today. Denny Hulme did better than McLaren and received an OBE as a result. Give Dixon a Halberg award, but he's not ready for a Knighthood yet.

      Well I hope in his country give him a huge welcome when he has to comeback to New Zealand, he is an excellent sportsman and representative of his country.

      the trouble is some Rugby players are given the honour yet globally it's a minor sport their imput is nowhere as prodigious as Dixon is in his, 14yrs of top class racing to me says it all, 1966 Ford racing finally won the 24hr Le Mans with the now famous GT40 with Mclaren at the wheel with fellow kiwi driver Chris Amon, the can-am series was dominated by Mclaren back in the day, he not only raced he also built the cars, a true genius thats why i rate him highly and with Denny Hulme as one of the drivers too. peace

    Thanks for posting the race.
    I would have loved to see Graham win, the kid had a amazing year. But in all honesty Dixon and Chip Ganassi team made one hell of a comeback and they deserve it completely

    Thanks for the vid and we all agree Montoya did deserve the champion.

    Double points is a big fuck you to motorsports. Montoya got robbed. I hope he switches series.

      If he didn't like it, he should have quit before the season started. Montoya agreed to the rules that gave the championship to Dixon so he's got only himself to blame for losing it.

    • @GaloGaloso
      @GaloGaloso 9 лет назад +2

      +acexbox I disagree: double points is for all racers and we can blame penske itself for that touch between penske drivers.

    • @acexbox
      @acexbox 9 лет назад +1

      +Quintinohthree look at f1 . the rule was so stupid they got rid of it. Like Christian Horner said, if someone else other than lewis hamilton won the world title there is something very wrong there.

    • @Quintinohthree
      @Quintinohthree 9 лет назад +1

      +acexbox As stupid as it might be, it's still the rule by which the championship is decided. It doesn't rob the championship from anyone, it's the basis on which the championship is awarded to anyone.
      Speaking of robbing, where were you when points for Indy 500 qualifying were canceled on the day of qualifying itself?

      +acexbox Robbed? He drove into his Will Power.. had to pit for a repair.. How did he get robbed? He lost the race fair an square.

    Amazing Dixon!
    Stop crying about doubled points for him in final race. Nobody is talking about Indy 500 double points for Monty. Just keep calm and learn to loose. Remember that Dixon is always finishing season very strong. Same way he won 3 of 4 his titles.

    • @GoldrockGaming2
      @GoldrockGaming2 9 лет назад +1

      +Pavel Burmako Montoya won in Indy 500 and Dixon in Sonoma but Dixon was fourth in Indy 500 and Montoya sixth in Sonoma. So Montoya would still be the champion if there weren't any double points at all.

      GoldrockGaming2 It is sports. There is no place for any "if". Dixon is champ. See you next year.

    The first yellow. What a joke. The yellow policy ruins this series.

    Why isn't anyone talking about Karam intentionally spinning earlier in the season giving Dixon a win/better finish? Chip is bulllshit.

    Szkoda mi Montoyi, zasłużył na ten tytuł. Kompletnie na niego nie zasłużył Dixon- bezbarwny przez cały sezon. Co do podwójnych punktów, to niezależnie od tego kto byłby mistrzem nie powinno ich ich być. Bo przy zielonym stoliku decyduje się kto będzie mistrzem, a kto nie. Nie jest to zgodne z duchem sportu. Nie decyduje sportowa rywalizacja.
