My personal theory about the small, round mirrors in Rust's home: He says his daughter had his eyes right, so by cutting out mirrors just big enough to only see eyes in them. That's his way of seeing his daugther again.
in what scene does Rust says this?

After this episode, I have a new found respect for Woody Harrelson. Dude had Alexandra Daddario sitting on him and looking like…… well, Alexandra Daddario and still remained professional and composed. Talk about acting 😂 I’d be a puddle

This is an absolutely amazing miniseries, whenever I rewatch it I do it as a marathon and that's at least 3 times a year. I also do the same with Cernobyl 😊

I don’t think Rust is calm, cool, or collected. He’s a textbook sociopathic psychopath. He portrays that demeanor to hide the torment of his mind.
Wrong, if he was he wouldn't have saved the kid in the tub later on
He's not a sociopath or a psychopath, as that's a fundamental flaw in his brain chemistry/makeup that forces a lack of empathy and emotions.
Rust is simply a deeply, DEEPLY traumatized man who's survived by compartmentalizing all of his feelings and intellectualized his suffering through pessimism.
Totally different things that just arrive at a similar destination
