I started listening to Hardstyle I believe in 2005, it all began with DJ Robs - In Your Face, and then came the Mothership that fueled my desire, and passion for Hardstyle, Showteks - Colours of The Harder Styles. I haven't been able to stop listening, and studying this music since then, and we're approaching 2014. It fell a little in 2012 with lyrical dance type mainstream hits, but 2013 it bounced back, and I believe it will get even better in 2014. In America, California, I just wish they would get away from the rap elements, and lyrical dance hits type stuff, stay HARD...

Thought the genre was coming to an end around 2012 as well but i'm happy about all these hard/raw new tracks coming out today. Showtek went US with their tours a few years ago, and listen to the SHITE they produce today. It's sad, but it's almost as if the genre and future of harder styles is more protected if kept and contained over here in Europe. Dubstep also crossed the pond, and from being an underground UK genre that i also love, it turned into something horrible associated with Skrillex.
