I have watched this every year, several times each year, since you posted it, and will likely watch it many times yet. It’s mesmerizing. Thank you for generously sharing your talent with us.
Thank you so much for sharing your art Anna, this tutorial is so inspiring and I can't wait to try and paint it. I have no words, you are so talented, not only painting but also explaining the process, thank you so so much.
Watching your skill with perspective with those snowflakes had my mouth hanging open. Wow! These are so spectacular! You make it all look so easy. Practice and patience…and time. Love how you have fun with your talent too. These are a definite let me try project. Thanks for sharing! And happy holidays!

Thank you Sherry! I am so encouraged by the feedback I am getting and working to make new videos for you to explore. Tonight I will be posting about my favourite colors:) Let me know what you think 💞
Loved this and would like to try it in my Christmas w/c journal but it would be great if it were a bit slower (and yes I did try slowing it down but it was still too fast).
What a fabulous tutorial and gorgeous design.💞 Wow, you are a whiz with your sweet decorations and I love the tip of using the back of the brush to make dots. I could have used that tip in a few of my paintings :) Thank you so much Anna and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas!🎄
Dear Anna....I love the way you explain step by step your paintings...thank you so much... question: I use gouache a lot but can you use Winsor & Newton white ink instead of gouache? God bless you and your family xx
Hi Rosie 😊 thank you so much ❤️ i have experience with WN inks but never used white specifically (only coloured) I am honestly not sure but my guess is that they would behave more like Watercolor, making it a bit too watery for this. I might be wrong but that’s my best guess 😊
i guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Logan Jalen I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This is a wonderful tutorial. I want to paint 24 ornaments for an advent calendar, so I need to get started! What kind of gouache do you use, and do you have recommendations about brushes (since you said you had just gotten the one you used here).
Thank you Becca! For white gouache - I would invest in one high quality tube of Winsor & Newton. It’s not the cheapest but for mixing, under painting and details you want to make sure it doesn’t crack. So I wouldn’t recommend student grade... surprisingly for brushes I find that the basic synthetics work the best. I am painting with KUM Germany brushes a lot. If you want to get super fansy then I love using real sable from Isabey, in archival length. They work great for tiny details. Any synthetic sable from Escoda is good too 😊 Enjoy! ❤️
Yes it will work on dry Watercolor. However - keep in mind that cold pressed Watercolor paper is pretty rough for gel and ink pens. You may run into some bumps 😊Ideally gel pens are for smooth mixed media paper 😊
@@AnnaBucciarelli You're right and I usually use CP paper. Also, I suspect you can get a finer line with a very small brush with gouache. I hope to see you add more work to Skillshare.
Anna I just did your Xmas ball tutorial thank you so much I do have a question I used a 000 brush to do the white decorations on the balls and still felt the brush was too thick what size brush did you use?
Hi Vicky! I used 00. I agree even that can be too thick especially with creamy gouache - so what I do is start the stroke by barely touching the paper (only enough to leave a tiny bit of paint) and the after dragging it for 2-3 mm I press the brush down gently. This should do the trick. Another thing to check is the consistency of your paint - if it’s too thick it will gather up at the top of the brush and make the strokes thicker than you intend them to be. Let me know if this helps! ❤️
Completely agree! It’s one of the first videos I’ve ever made years ago and was still figuring out the audio editing 😊 I’ve learned so much since then ❤️

Thank you Kathyn! :) Happy Holidays!
What size did you use for the gouache pls, 00?
Karen McCollum I used 3/0 which is smaller than 0 (it’s sometimes called “000”)
Karen McCollum but size 0 would work just fine - I am just painting on very small paper 😊
Love it.
Thank you Britta! ❤️ Happy Holidays!

I am using synthetic Escoda for Watercolor here and Isabey for gouache detail 😊
Thank you :)
Just wonder if you considered using a white gel pen in place of gouache.

Love the video, but the music felt a little too loud. Much prefer to hear your voice alone.
