nice. Make a "bush bib" out of those bags by cutting into it so it can go around the bush stem more snug

Worked on several pro crews and we never covered the mulch, it does make for a cleaner job

I've read that you shouldn't shear boxwoods. and never use an electric trimmer

Can you please tell me what kind of boxwood this is?

It looks like winter gem or green velvet...winter gem leaves are slightly larger than green velvet...tough to tell difference at a distance

You’ll need to thin them to let light and air inside.

Short handle is always better because it is possible to do a lot more revolutions making the job faster and easier.

How does it look at the end. So far looks like you have not done a thing

That's not how you prune a boxwood, you want to open it up to allow light in by making big cuts inside the plant, you want there to be hole but just enough so that you can tell see the other side but not be able to tell whats on the other side. ex: there's a brick wall on the other side but you can only see a little bit of red when you finish

As Rodney Dangerfield used to say, while adjusting his tie: "Man, we gotta rough crowd here, very rough crowd". 🤔

A small tarp works way better than a paper bag or roll of paper and you can use it many times over again! Thank you for the useless tip Tom.

    • @zagfan44

Agreed, I use a tarp also, lasts for many years. I thought your comment was a bit harsh on the presenter though. Can't we all just get along?

    • @momdanadill5054

So essentially the same thing. Why did you even comment? I use a tarp too but not everyone has one. It’s great that he is giving us OTHER ideas that can also work. Do you have a RUclips channel that we can go to and nit pick all of your ideas, giving you tips on how YOU could have done it better? “By the way. I use a LARGE tarp. It’s totally better and can move more trimmings. Thanks for your useless tip Michelle”. See how rude that was? Please be kind. No one is perfect.
