Good job on the video! There are two more events that, in my opinion, are important for the Stalker 2 developement. First, GSC got a new studio for themselves in Kiev (they posted a picture of it, and it is rumored that some fans found the building on gmaps). Second, GSC participated on 7th December 2019 to the Games Gathering Conference 2019 in Kiev, where they had a whole stand dedicated to Stalker and Stalker 2 (they even had cosplayers and props from the game). So yeah, it seems they are taking things seriously :)
You know, I'm kinda excited about how the Zone has changed when we return, especially factions. There were rumors that in the original Stalker 2, Freedom had become the dominant faction, and I guess that didn't turn out too well for Duty. But in this new Stalker 2, I'm hoping to see old favorites, as well as some new ones. One of my ideas is a weird, Zone worshipping cult. Sort of taking the religious aspects of the Stalker film to an extreme. Their HQ could be an old church, and they would do disturbing things like kidnapping stalkers and "Sacrificing" them to anomalies for artifacts and "Baptizing" themselves in emissions. They could be good replacement for the Monolith. There could also be offshoots and splinter factions of existing factions you could interact with. I'm also hoping for faction vehicles as well. I'd love to see something like a BTR or a Hind in Duty colors, patrolling the Zone.
I think for the freedom thing duty became too spread out across the zone, and put a lot of men to take over pripyat and freedom became more powerful and has more influence but Duty took over pripyat and still holds the bar. I mean I heard of this in like 2016 so it could just be a speculation.
They would have to make the vehicles useful like reducing walking speed or making the map larger, they would also have to make the roads usable or have a weight mechanic so youre new BMP or whatever doesnt get sucked into an anomaly and condensed into a tiny rock
im pretty sure that gsc will find a way to include Nikolai, i mean there fans of his efforts and it wouldnt be to hard to make a loner in a sunrise suit called Nikolai
I hope that Clear Sky (the faction) still exists somehow, be it a group of remnants or maybe a somewhat large group of people, still doing what they do in the swamps, and around the zone in general.

The engine has pretty much nothing to do with the atmosphere. Its what they DO with the engine. They can easily pull off an atmosheric game with Unreal. Its capable of a lot.

I've seen these stalker keys being given live but almost no one was able to redeem them on time because of steam's bullshit sistem of locking you out of their "code redeeming" for hours after some few failed tries
I hope the game will be available on console aswell as on pc. Right now my pc can barely handle Anomaly with lower graphics, and I don't think I will be able to make a big upgrade to my hardware.

What if there was some diversity in the Zone too? (No, not the SJW diversity.) I'm talking about having Stalkers from all over the former Eastern Bloc. Imagine meeting Stalkers from not just Russia and Ukraine, but from Poland, Romania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, the Baltics, the Balkans, Azerbaijan, even former East Germany. This could even stretch beyond just names and faces, while they would talk to you and other Stalkers in Russian (the unofficial language of the Zone,) but they could have unique accents when speaking and even have private conversations in their native tongues. This would make the zone feel like a regional black hole that attracts everyone around it. This probably wouldn't happen though considering that GSC would have to find voice actors for every country and language. Though names and possibly faces could be achieved. But, IDK, what do you guys think?

Hmm, Metro franchise was born because of the STALKER franchise. The 4A games studio is formed with former employees from GSC. Yes it is 100% worth playing. Atmosphere is very simiar, but, the game is completly open world (you can compare it with Metro Exodus, but you can always go back to a map you were previously, which is not like in M. Exodus), the inventory system is way mor complicated, closer to an rpg. If you like Metro, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, you will definetly love STALKER! Oh, and have patience...
Hey guys I need some help, I bought STALKER Call of Pripyat on Steam a few years ago and I have a bunch of hours in but one day a few months ago the game crashed and pressing "alt + tab" and "ctrl, alt+ delete" didn't do anything so I had to turn off my PC. I turned it back on and restarted it, afterwards I tried to launch the game and it wouldn't start, it would have the picture pop up that appears before the game starts up but it would quickly disappear and the game wouldn't launch. I don't play with mods and I have verified the game files a bunch of times and nothing has changed, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled countless times and nothing has happened. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem?
I might but bare with me cause this might be a long explanation and I hope I can help you somehow with all of the options that I'll be proposing 1.first make sure to update your PC's hardware and drivers as it can cause problems in old certain games, many such as stalker, obviously this is a long term process to do manually so I'll advise you to download a pc software called "driver easy". Since it's not completely free, I'll suggest you to download a rigged or modified unlocked tweaked version of such software uploaded by a user most preferably from RUclips after updating and restarting your pc *AUTOMATICALLY* (only pro version available, that's why I mentioned and suggested a free pro version tweak on the internet above) you should probably try uninstalling any stalker games that are giving you trouble and reinstall them once more, now if that doesn't work there might still be another option; trying to install the game in a different hard driver, that's if you own more than one hard drive, a D// and a C// storage directories known as hard drives (I bet you know that already) following all of these steps can almost guarantee that any game will start working on your pc, and this is due to the game's old engine and your PC's outdated and incompatible hardware required to run games 2.if all of that magically doesn't even work try, going into the game's directory (located wherever you have your steam files located at) and simply modify your resolution and respect ratios of your game from there by looking for the stalker .txt files and look for the mentioned settings under the "display" selections, after doing all of that and your game still doesn't open, try method 3 If you're using a windows version older than 10 or 9, delete your user.dll file in your stalker directory and then attempt to open your game, if that doesn't work, follow the same step I mentioned before and uninstall the game and then reinstall it again, this is like flushing a green turd down the toilet but keeping the brown ones aside just to create another green one and putting all old pieces back with a new one, this option might corrupt some of your save files and if so they will not open but you can always try backing up all of your save files that are in your stalker directory and creating a copy of them and paste them in a new folder, (smartes choice would be to paste them in a new folder located in your desktop) and then paste them back into your stalker save files folder, now if none of those methods work. Try my last recommendation; 4.download the game for free in a different hard drives from the internet basically get a pirate copy and in order to keep your saved games, paste those old save files into a new save folder inside that pirate version, and that's it I hope this can help in way, if you have any more doubts or questions or unexpected crashes feel free to reply back so we can keep this comment thread going until we fix your game. монолит brother.... Thank you very much for the suggestions, I’m going to probably try option 2, it seems to be the best fitted for my PC. Update: It turns out I didn't even need to do all of that, I checked the user file in "appdata" in the files and it was empty. So i deleted the empty file, uninstalled the game and reinstalled and now it works fine.
