Some patients with polychondritis have renal involvement , not as severe as the GPA, but it can exist, take that into consideration before you remove renal manifestations of the RPDAI , thanks so much for the brilliant webinar
I was just diagnosed with RP a few days ago and I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago. I do see symptoms of both GPA and PA. Also 3 years ago I had to have my septum sewn up due to it being collapsed but we had no idea what caused it. Last year I also had veins removed. Anyway I appreciate the video and the info!
I have had recurrent ear (both) cartilage inflammation for 2 years. It started around a year after I was hospitalized for septicemia due to a late diagnosis of bilateral psoas muscle abscess. Also, after placing bilateral drains, the nurse neglected to realize I was bleeding internally and I had to have 4 blood transfusions which landed me in ICU and a stay in the hospital for 3 months. Fast forward, along with the ear inflammation, I have bruising all over of unknown origin. I have had both wrist operated on for carpel tunnel, knee meniscus repair, and several cortisone injections for inflammation. I have rashes periodically on my body which was biopsies and determined I have an autoimmune disease. They want to biopsy the cartilage in my ear and I want to know if you think that is necessary. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give you some background information.
What a great presentation, I will be sharing this on the support site and also with new members of the RP support group!
