Another great tutorial, man. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to see Cineware getting better and better! High quality educational content as always, love it!
winbush... the man, the myth, the legend! thanks for sharing all this great stuff!
Absolutely my friend and thanks for the kind words im humbled 🤙🏾
Jonathan as always a great video/tutorial!) Thank you for this detailed walk through the update!)
Just for fun, maybe a comparison video?)) Same scene with c4d rs / lumen / path tracer renderers?))
man your information is great, it saved me
So glad it helped 🤙🏿🤙🏿
Nice Update Brother!
Thanks my brother appreciate it 🤙🏾
Nice video, One question does this method support complex material transfer to ue5. I mean I can made complex material in redshift with layer and material blending or use some advance nodes, do materials transfer accurately?
You'd have to try it out I know there are still some areas they are working on
great tutorial! For materials, do you think i would be better to import without the materials and do all material things in UE??
It's how I do it for sure
Hi Winbush. Just wondering if you could make a video or tutorial on how to make a lightsaber fight cinematic with custom animations in UE5 like those in Jedi: Survivor which was made with UE5.
Maybe with some upcoming Rokoko tools I'm looking into
@@JonathanWinbush okay thanks 👍
Hey winbush, you know if there is any advantage in bouncing down cloners or keeping the cloners parametric when using unreal from c4d for VR
I've not really touched VR much recently but when the cloners come over to unreal it's going to bake it down anyways so I think you're good either way
Ok that's good tutorial
But please where to set width and height resolution and start rendering?
Thank you very much

Thank you for this tutorial! When I click on the Animation folder, I don't have the Cloth Sim C4D (Level Sequence), only the 3 cloth animations appear, can you tell me what I did wrong?
I'm not sure without seeing what you did but maybe my tutorial from the other day may help ruclips.net/video/TEM9BU-Fp0E/видео.html
Hey Winbush, nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Do you know of a way to render an Unreal scene wirh an alpha channel but is lit by a HDRI? Much like the way we can do it in Redshift.
Best regards
Yup so I use a skylight to do that I actually have an tutorial on setting it up here ruclips.net/video/hArd1nVk_uQ/видео.html
@@JonathanWinbush Amazing. Thanks a lot 🤙
@@pascalfurst7864 Absolutely 🤙🏿
i have problem here, i cant click my redshift camera, lighting. Even my camera not detected as a camera when importing. i can't look through it like yours. No camera logo on it, what did i miss?
Im still waiting for Unreal to C4D compatibility... Metahuman in C4D would lure me back in...
Don't think that's going to happen the skeleton systems are to different
Hello! When I open my c4d project in unreal 5.3 the materials look way to glossy. Any idea how to fix this? I think it’s a RGB or linear color issue. Unreal brings in all the materials as instances with one parent material. I’m hoping I can just edit the parent material and change the glossiness on all tithe materials in the project at once ? Just not sure exactly what the problem is 😅
Make sure you're using the latest version of the cineware plugin
Is this the most up to date info on this topic about to get into ur5 workflow with c4d.
I'ts not I cover a lot on my channel with every update
@@JonathanWinbush Appreciate that and all your hard work!
Hi. How can I transfer to Unreal more complex redshift material with animated vertex attributes for different parameters?
please make bake vertex map function
You can't right now as in the pdf they have a breakdown of what can be brought over at the moment
Heya, I'm using Maya and Redshift, is there also a method for me to get my redshift materials into Unreal 5 without having to go through C4D?
Maxon is just working on cinema integration with unreal
May I ask if there is a way to export mograph lighting animation from C4D to UE. I searched all over the Internet but find no solution to this. Thanks!
I'm not sure you could probably bake it down in Cinema 4d first then bring it over
@@JonathanWinbush Unfortunately, I cannot bake mograph animation into the light objects and mograph cache or even Xpresso doesn't work either. Thank you for answering anyway Winbush!
Promising, but I'll wait until this is more developed. I'm not expecting a 1 to 1 perfect translation, but this is way too much to keep track of right now.
It's getting there for sure
So am i right in thinking the redshift converts to lumen or it is just redshift render in ue5?
Yea everything converts to the Unreal system so it wont be 100% 1 to 1 but close
@@JonathanWinbush that's very cool, thanks for the tutorial and keeping us updated
why not just included in C4D or listed in Maxon One App..
You'd have to ask maxon I wondered myself why not the Maxon app with everything else
hi, amazing video! is there any way i can learn redhsift without the cost? i just cant afford it and im not making any money from 3d. i am not a student either.
I think there is a trial version for testing put I'm not 100% sure how long it last though
Can we export C4D Pyro to Unreal? Is there any tutorial for that?
Will be uploading that today actually 😁
@@JonathanWinbush That's wjy you are WADDUP WADDUP WISHBUSH :D
@@aashay 🤣🤣🤙🏿
Can it be done with C4d and octane?
Just redshift because maxon developed the plugin
Hey, why didn't you use the option "save for Cineware"? What is the difference?
Because thats the old way of doing it they made it so that a few years ago you no longer have to save it out for cineware which will allow you to just use the regular c4d files which will be a lot smaller in file size
@@JonathanWinbush wow thanks for replying so quickly!
@@lexxandera absolutely! I'm actually working on a new workflow this morning which will be big that I'll make a tutorial on later today that might make everything even easier!
@@JonathanWinbush that is amazing. I appreciate your channel very much!
save me, how to transfer a project Cineware that contains Plain Field, Unreal simply doesn’t see this animation, it won’t work through an alembic, it will work but not like that
Im not sure maybe bake the frames in cinema first
Bake object, found@@JonathanWinbush
Show us some blender to unreal please
Can I use this on 5.1 still. I do not want to jump into 5.3 until 6 month from today. Thank you Playboy
Should work with 5.1 im using 5.2 here
