    Very helpful, thanks. I hadn't gotten around to thinking about this part of it yet (having too much fun editing!). A question: do you know of any way to move images from one catalog to another? So far my catalog is just full of individual edits, but I might indeed want to organize them into specialized catalogs.

      Hi David, thank you for your message and lovely comment. I am afraid that you cannot move the files between the catalogues. When you use a new catalog, you will have to import the images and apply the edit again.

    Hi Jakub, Thanks for your videos. How do you have the file, Edit, Image, View......tools across the top of your screen? I have to click on "Luminar Neo" to reveal them.

      Hi, Frank... I think that this depends on the system you are using. I am using Mac, so I get these options, but I think that for Windows it's different.

    Hi Jakub ... this is a really helpful tutorial! Many thanks. Would you happen to know how I might be able to back up my created presets ("My Presets")? I can't find any help via Skylum searches; nor can I find any relevant files within the various Luminar Neo data file locations. Whenever a new Neo update is downloaded, I have to reinstate files such as personal presets and additional LUTS. I can re-do the LUTS OK, but not the My Presets. Many thanks!!

      Hi Andrew, thank you for your message and lovely comment. I am afraid that the only way to backup your presets is to manually copy and paste them into a new location. You can do that by going into the My Presets section and click on the three dots at the end of any presets. From the options, choose: "Show in Finder" or "Show in Explorer". This will open the custom folder with all of your own presets. Just select them all and copy them into another location. If you need to restore them in future, you can now just copy/paste them into the custom folder. I hope this is going to be helpful...

    Hi, can I copy the adjustments from a photo of one catalog and paste to a photo in another catalog?

    • @CleverPhotographer
      @CleverPhotographer  2 года назад

      Hi Yeung, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I am afraid that this isn't possible in Luminar NEO at this moment. The edit is written in the catalog, and there is no way to extract it or move it.

    Hi Jakurb how to backup photo & catalog to external hard drive ? Let say January backup and now July how to continue to backup

    • @CleverPhotographer
      @CleverPhotographer  2 года назад

      Hi Foo, all you have to do is to select a location for the new catalog or exporting files into the location of the external hard drive. If you want to move the catalog to new location you will have to copy and paste it there.

    Hello Jakub, I've been away on Holiday and used my mac laptop with Neo on, to edit my photos! I have now arrived home and have been trying to transfer my edited photos along with Neo's catalog to continue working on my photos on my imac. I have try a number of ways to open the files as you have described but every time I get a triangle with a question mark!
    Please could you help with resolving this problem. Kind Regards Alan! PS

    • @CleverPhotographer
      @CleverPhotographer  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Alan! Thank you for getting in touch. Whenever you transfer a Catalog from one computer to the other, always make sure that you always transfer a copy of the catalog rather than the catalog itself. The reason is that once you open the catalog in the new location, it will allow you to locate or link the images from the Catalog module. If it is not done correctly the first time, you will not be able to relink the images again. So what you need to do is move the copy, right-click on the image with the triangle, select Locate and in the new window navigate to the location of the images and link them together. I hope this helps.

    For some reason Luminar Neo installed my catalog in Windows 10 automatically using a OneDrive folder in Pictures which i do not want to use. Is there a way I can it to stop OneDrive period? Should I delete it and create another catalog somewhere else? We should have an option where to store our catalog during installation I think.

      I agree Kenneth, that the default location can be confusing, but you should be easily able to move it or save it to a new location. You can simply copy and paste it there or create a new catalog following this guide.
