The old Granada Studios are still there in July 2021. Now named " The Manchester Studios" with Studios 2, 6, 8 and 12 retained, refurbished and available to use. Unlike BBC Television Centre, London, they kept the majority of their larger studios. Excellent.

As a boy being brought up near Croydon on Rediffusion and ATV London, laterly Thames and LWT, it was great to stay with reletives in Rudgwick, and New Milton and watch Southern TV, and especially great to visit an aunt in Southend on Sea who could receive London, Southern, and Anglia itv.
Itv is all the same now, even the so called local news covers too big an area.

Wasn't Granada once refered to as "Auntie With Adverts", or was that Associated Rediffusion? (Auntie being an affectionate term for the BBC which didn't have adverts or commercials, a fact that is still true today)

I wonder what these old boys , because thats what it is , mostly men in this documentary , think about modern MSM today , I believe the real honest journalists no longer exist in today’s society , but hopefully they will return

Might even have been Southern, who certainly thought of themselves as more BBC than the BBC.
