Tarai Waka Te Mahi - Third Promo Instalment

He tārai waka te mahi. The waka build project began three years ago but the dream for a new waka has been much longer than this. This project presents a very exciting opportunity for ngā uri o Tuperiri as we move steps closer to the finalisation of a waka that we can all feel, touch and see on our moana and wai.
We engaged a very experienced waka building team, led by Heemi Eruera (Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa) and over the last two years, we have been back and forth to the waka building location in Whangārei to see progress.
We are excited to share that our waka hōu will be ready this year 2024, in and around the Matariki period. Kia rite mai e te iwi!
