Your videos along with some others on youtube helped convince me to get myself an ALICE pack and frame. Only had it a week and its already the best backpack i've ever owned. i plan on modding it and creating something to be proud of. thanks for your videos and inspiration, Nick.
That's awesome! I'm glad my videos have helped. It seems like more and more people lately have been switching from plate carriers to LBE ALICE type equipment.
@@collectornick4270 I had no idea people were still taking them out into the field on missions, I'm glad i picked mine up, I imagine the prices will shoot up. All the best mate.
Hey you had those 6 color desert storm pouches right like canteen pouches and mag pouches could you mske a desert storm 6 color camo belt kit video i love to see that if you can and if you dont have any of those anymore thats also okay
If I did need more water or needed things like NVG’s I didn’t like the ILBE but the “assault pack” from that system was good to go. you could throw all the extra stuff for longer durations away from the vehicles.

Hey nick i been watching you for a long while and wanted to know where i can find an m67 nylon belt shorty mag pouches and compass pouch also i have a plastic snap m67 canteen cover wich looks real but seems to be made in 88 not 68 do you know what the deal with that is
Nice video Nick I didn't even know they made these , are they actually Military issue like nsn number is real? Also they look more flimsy or softer compared to standard 3 round Alice Mag pouches.
They're a little flimsy but I think that's because of how wide they are. I do not believe these are issued I think they are commercially made and my guess is the NSN is probably fake or taken from another item.
@@collectornick4270 it would be tempting to buy 4 and possibly seam rip the grenade carriers since it's commercial anyway. 16 mags at the ready would be pretty sick
@@collectornick4270 how much do they go for, a piece, when they do pop up? I looked for some on eBay as soon as I seen the notification for this video and didn't find any lol
@soldierofmisfortune6284 I thought about buying his other pouch and doing that but I think the extra pouch would be too much weight and make it awkward. I think it would be better to use those SAW pouches if you wanted to carry more.

I got these and i plan to make a smersh type rig out of these for an AR. Running this with Afghanka kit would be really drippy.
Sounds like it's gonna be awesome when it's done.

@@collectornick4270 There are a few on Army navy sales or grandpops surplus. I wish he had 2 i'd nabbed a pair. I'd just wait for the pair then.

Not sure on the date thing on your cover. As for where to find stuff I recommend gun shows, antique store or Facebook collector groups.
Do you know any good groups on FB to buy military surplus?
@soldierofmisfortune6284 This is one of the better ones in my opinion.

Do AKM mags fit?
I don't have any AK mags but I don't think so. You can probably fit maybe one but that's a huge maybe.
What backpack would the Army/Marines be using in the in the late 80s and early 90s?
The medium and large ALICE packs. From the late 1970s until the very early 2000s.

Does the quality feel the same as an original?
It does. All of the stitching is great, and so is the hardware. But it's definitely commercial made. My guess is the early 2000s or early 2010s.
