Thats awesome, I hope you have an incredible trip -just make sure to bring the bug spray…I got eaten alive by the mosquitoes in the Pothole Dome/Soda Springs area last week but it was totally worth it!😂
@@flyingdawnmarie Thankyou so much. I will make sure i will get OFF. Also i read your blog couple months ago regarding tioga pass. It was like a proper guide with exact location references that even google maps doesn’t provide. Thanks again i will keep checking your travel experiences.
We didn’t this trip because the mosquitoes at the trailhead and also heading out from around both Pothole Dome and Soda Springs were absolutely wicked last week…normally I’m not too bothered but I didn’t have a mosquito net cover and I would have really needed one - but that just means we’ll have to head back again (hopefully when the mosquitoes have let up a bit!)
@@anthonypineda6164 yes, it would be rare for Tioga Road to be open in December (the last time the road stayed open into December was 2011) typically it’s either in Oct. or Nov. when the snow arrived & the road closes for winter.
Definitely! I know I said in this video that the mosquitoes are out in full force but Pothole Dome, Soda Springs and the edge of Tuolumne Meadows were especially brutal…even moving they were biting me!
We are visiting next month. Thank you so much for this!
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. 👍15
So glad you enjoyed it!😊
Thankyou so much for your video and information
I am visiting there next week
It would be a great help for us ❤

Great video!! How’s usually the wheater on early december? Will tioga pass be closed by that time?

Thank you for this video! Do you think it’s likely for people to suffer from altitude sickness by simply driving through Tioga Pass with the AC on?
Do you need a reservation during August?
Bring your mosquito nets if visiting Tuolume Meadows or Soda Springs. They were brutal last week. I'd swear they had teeth...

Yosemite too?
@@johnyjsl9219 Tuolume Meadows is part of Yosemite. If you're referring to Yosemite Valley, I didn't see/feel many mosquitoes there in early June.
@@Blairbie oh noo!! That happened to me at Tenaya Lake…those mosquitoes are vicious!😬
