I've often said that a Viper V-10 in a Jensen would be a killer swap....keeping it in the family since the Jensen originally came with a 440 Chrysler in it!

BRM H16: Amazingly, this wasn't the only 16-cylinder engine BRM made. They also had a supercharged 1.5 liter V16 made out of two 750cc V8s. That engine was also nuts, with gears resting between the cylinder banks and a flame-trap (made by Rolls Royce) from a Merlin Spitfire engine to prevent unburnt fuel from the supercharger making its way back into the combustion chamber. That V16 also sounds like nothing else.
Rolls Royce? That's outside the box. The car is so heavy, it will never be fast.

Back in the late 70's I put a 66 vette motor in my brother-in-laws 69 TR-6. It just barely fit. My best buddy put a 455 Olds Toronado in the back of a 68 Corvair. ( not in the back seat)
That Corvair swap sounds pretty damn cool actually. And the car kept the back seat too?

What is the 2JZ? I've never heard of it but I'd like to know more. It sounded awesome. Who makes them and what are they intended to be used in?

Thats was not 2JZ, that was a 3S Yamaha-Toyota engine....used in Toyota Altezza........ 4 Cillinder-2.0L

There's a much cooler Rolls in Australia with a big block, it's white and was in Street Machine a couple of years ago and goes to the Summernats every year. A shame the Beetle had a stinking Gen 2 350 small block out of a C4 'Vette- prob the worst small blocks ever made those things. There are much nicer ones in the States and even in Australia with proper built Gen 1 small blocks, one in Oz has a 6/71 blower hanging out the bonnet too. And what was the little blue thing with the 2JZ, a Vag?!?

It's a 3.0 inline six cylinder engine made by Toyota. Anything made by Lexus from the early/mid 90s til the early 2000s that had "300” on the badge had a 2JZ in it. The only U.S.D.M. car that I know of to come with the twin turbo version of the 2JZ is the 4th generation Supra. Meanwhile in Japan, Toyota put turbocharged 2JZ engines (lots of single turbo set ups) in tons of cars, so they're widely available and cheap. Its like the LS for Japanese engines. Seen em' swapped in just about everything.
It's also been described as the Japanese equivalent of the Chrysler Hemi: Heavy (it has an iron block), won't fit in everything (it's long) but powerful and indestructible. You can get 1,000 horsepower from one with a stock block and head, and maybe at least part of the rotating assembly.
