    I love Folkracing, ive done plenty of smaller events in Sweden, and dammit if i dont break the car i have everytime everywhere x) Won a final i Lessebo, shot a cooler after i won which we didnt have any to spare, was leading a final in Karlskrona and ended up front first in a barrier and at my hometrack in Grimslöv i flipped my car when i had a guaranteed finalspot. But hey, i love every single time i drive folkrace, its just so damn fun! :D

    saw one of Evjens hero drives in Folkrace NM in 2018, drove himself up to a B final i think before his engine overheated. was really cool seeing him throw water at it between the finals before he went to the grid

    Tell a bit more about losing the car in folkrace. Why and how does it work?

    • @dangranlunde7081
      @dangranlunde7081 3 года назад +7

      It’s to limit costs and recruit new drivers. Any new driver can in theory buy any car that was good enough to qualify for a final. The price is fixed for all cars. Buyers can bid on multiple cars or even multiple bids on the same car. There is a fee for each bid which goes to the organizer. The seller gets the money for the actual car (1000 EUR). Since it’s so easy to buy a car it’s not a big deal if someone buys your either. The intent is to avoid someone from investing too much in an unbeatable car. It levels the playing field.

      @@dangranlunde7081 thx for the explanation, never knew it worked like that. But it’s a nice way to give everyone a change to be in the final, so you don’t have a ‘Kristoffersson’ who almost wins everything. Maybe a good idea to bring it into world championship 🤣

    So can anyone explain to me how the trading works? You come there with your car and in the end you have to give it for auction?
    I Somewhat herd about that in Top Gear with Jeremy Clarksen. They had an episode where they explained it. But now I want to know for sure. :)

      Any offer over about 1100USD any you need to let them bye your car. This to avoid some one spending 10000+usd on a car and win every race.
