It actually also happens in the PC version, but under different conditions. Instead of rarely happening when a zombie bites a wallnut, it rarely happens after you kill it, meaning that the animation plays but without his head.
The animation is also on other devices too, just not when a zombie eats a wall-nut. It’s still a rare death animation that I’ve gotten a few times, just it happens when a zombie’s head gets knocked off.
this is probably the rarest death animation in PvZ, you have to not kill a normal zombie, have them walk into a wallnut, have a wallnut on the same lane as a zombie with a nut allergy, and actually have the zombie have the nut allergy

Wide screen (the pc version doesn't have that and the mobile version has flaws we will get into) 2. Multiplayer (need I say more) 3. It doesn't have micro transactions (this is why I said mobile has flaws) 4. It doesn't have downgraded assets (ala DS although I tend to lump them in with the 360/ps3 versions anyway due to various reasons such as the exclusive mini games)
