My home...Big part of drive also in Salford. Parts of Salford and Trafford are very much part of what is our regional centre..along with Manchester City Centre proper. Greater Manchester is these three parts plus seven other boroughs.
I used to live in this city. Didn’t like it much at the beginning. Now I see it from another perspective and start loving it. But one thing for sure: there are not enough big green parks and squares there :(
The population of the City of Manchester is just 580.000 citizens, people get mixed up with the City of Manchester and the Metropolitan County of Greater Manchester two different things and giving just the population size of a City does make sense I am afraid.
Have to disagree... the skyscrapers are beautiful in contrast to the old architecture, and remind everyone of how prosperous Manchester is starting to get

Is often discussed the lack of green spaces..Mayfield is a recent addition. More are to come just north of NOMA too we hope.
@@MrTSK27 Mayfield is a great decision for Manchester! But my favourite place to relax was Pin Mill brow park!

Population of Greater Manchester is around 3 million. Just giving the population of the 'city' makes no sense.

I love the old buildings. Hate the horrible sky scrapers, built and owned by the Chinese.
