The very early Blackbird nest, a brood of two hatchlings, is at the point where the two surviving young birds become fledglings. We caught the blackbird fledglings on video, as they flew the nest! Well, more of a controlled crash and walk out of the nest, LOL. They thrash around, flap their wings, like by remote control or better said, God’s genetic commands. It’s a long video, like a nature documentary on blackbird fledglings leaving the nest! That way you can relax, enjoy the sounds of the baby birds or blackbird young as they are called and watch how awkward, yet successful it is for a blackbird to leave their nest.
Amazing to follow the blackbirds from nesting, through hatching of the eggs, till the young fledge or fly the nest!
Don’t forget, these blackbird young or chicks, just hatched two weeks earlier! Incredible how that works. The little birds or fledglings spent the night in the shrub near to this one, under the cover of the leaves. That tree keeps leaves year round, which is why the blackbirds seem to choose this garden to nest in, year after year.

Being able to video the blackbirds nesting was amazing, but to witness these brave young chicks, jump out of their nest, just leads me to thank God. What a moment to witness, yet alone capture on film. Enjoy this bird video!

Have had 3 lots of 3 broods this year in my small front garden have been watching them going about the busy challenges they have hope they all fledged safely we saw the last of them yesterday they were out and about in the garden but the wind was quite high so when they were flying they got taken out of the garden we stay near a big field with trees so hoping they made it over there 🤞

Thank you. So far, so good, although they did have to chase off a couple of eskters or magpies early this morning. Was my alarm clock! Tonight an update video.
