The buses that used to run were the 5, 5L(terminate at the ring) and the 7. There have been additional services from Sheddington Rd/ Streetly Rd added since I understand. When the Perry Common estate was first built the nearest bus service was a long walk to Streetly Rd, according to a long gone old neighbour of mine when I was a child.
The ring is on Witton Lodge Rd which leads to College Rd in one direction and Court Lane in the other. Towards the end of the clip there is a zoom in on New Oscott College, a religious historical building which is still functioning today. There used to be a huge corn field next to Maxted Rd in the 70's where you could walk straight through up towards the Oscott Colege this led to a hedgerow overwhich was a cemetery.
The area has been built over with houses now. The over side of Maxstead Rd used to be a maze of old prefab buildings. There were stories of ghosts in the surrounding roads of Dovedale and Capilano Rd areas in times past. Thank You for watching.
