Thank you Itö! What do you mean with "end pin review"? You would like to see a review concerning a particular endpin? I haven't experienced with endpins (yet). Personally I don't believe that endpins have a very big impact on the sound. But I may be wrong. One more problem is that changing an endpin is even more work than changing a set of strings...

Nice like the sound of these strings ... wonder on my cheaper upright bass with fairly old strings that came with it, if it would help with clarity of tone for pizz getting new strings like this ... Would like to try and reduce the "thuddiness" with my current setup. Although the bass itself + my skill could also be factors ... :)
I beliave the steel string locks the bridge while the syntetich and gut strings keep the bridge more free. An E steel strings sounds better when gut on the other three. I think it's because of free moment in bridge. So maybe it isnt about the string but that the bridge is looser?
Welcome! Very good sound! I like buy Eva.But, I dont know the difference the light and medium tension strings between. The light is lower volume, than medium set? The medium set similar tension, than spirocore medium? Thank You for your answear and help!
Difficult to answer, I did play both but I can't really say if the light has less volume. Many people say that the light strings have more sustain and growl, but I always thought that the mediums have more sustain. I think the Evah medium have a little less tension than Spiro medium but I'm not sure here either. Sorry, I don't know everything!

Hi, do you feel the surface of EP weich not being very flush/smooth? I used EP regulars in the past, and Jazzers, and all seem to me very smooth. Now with EP weich it seems to me the windings are unravelling, the feel under the tips is that there are spaces between the windings. What do you think? Thank you. AF

Grazie! I am pretty sure it was a 3/4 set. I can't tell you exactly the difference between the 3/4 and the 4/4 set but I think there is a tension difference, so that 4/4 basses with 108 cm get the same kind of tension that 3/4 basses with 104 cm get.
What string height do you recommend for each string?

3/4 size. 104,5 cm string length.
How would you compare them to Evah Pirazzi Slap?
Evah P: A little dark but still a singing tone with quite a lot of sustain.
Evah P Slap: shorter sustain, punchier, gut-like attack, dark sound.
The Evah P are closer to what you are used to if you come from steel strings like Spirocore.

Yes, DG from EP Slap are more gut like than obligato. Did you compare the sounds on my website?
