I think the dungeon you were thinking of is Grim batol, you free the dragons then attack the mobs below with fire breath to clear the path.

whirlwind also sucks in cataclysm btw. if you hover over it i belive it only does 60%ish of weapon dmg. you never wanna use it on single target unless u literally have nothing else to press and have heaps of rage as fury. even on aoe it kinda sucks, i think its decent on 3-4 targets if you are dual weilding 2 handers but it got nerfed heaps compared to wotlk and vanilla/tbc
