How are you doing, my Canadian friend? This is Guerry. It has been a long time, but hopefully I can stay out of the hospital. Nevertheless, I am glad to see you continuing to provide us “Ross” fans great videos from above the frost line - Just kidding! Seriously though, I truly appreciate the work you put into bringing us your posts. I am totally amazed at seeing that Samaritan’s DC-8 pull in for a fill up and tire check, and oh yea… clean the bugs off the windshield. I cannot remember the last time I saw one of those flying. It reminded me of the days when flying commercially was a luxury, and when airlines competed on the basis of comfort and not the cheapest ticket. Whenever I flew, I always made sure to have a several hour layover as I waited for my connecting flight. I spent my time on the observation decks with the vast majority of the aircraft in view were the narrow bodied, 4 engine 707’s, DC-8’s, CV-880’s, and CV-990’s. For me, those hours spent on the observation were well worth my wait. And, for anyone who has never flown on one of the narrow bodies for a long distance, it’s not bad at all. The other remarkable thing I noticed was the A321’s flying in from Europe, especially the one from Stockholm. Wow… The range they are now packing into those aircraft is pretty remarkable to me. Did you ever find out what the emergency was on the Jazz aircraft? Finally, long live the 747. For me, the most impressive variant has to be the -8i. With the raked wingtips and all, I love watching that bird in action. Well my friend, thank-you again for the video. Keep up the great work, and I am looking forward to your next post.
