Velobike maintenance looks like WW2 airplane maintenance. Cool!

A clean DRY washing up brush is useful for cleaning grit & dust from the rear deralia and gear cluster. It reduces the grit and dust grinding away gears, chain & sprocket wheels. Also consider using a vacuum cleaner for all that grit that collects inside the shell.
That tip about the "O" rings on the idler was important. Several recumbents would benefit from that idea.

Thank You, a great video. I own a (USA) class 2 dual motor E fat tire bike, and I am starting to research velomobiles. Loads of great information on your channel, Thanks again.

It seems that velcro sticks better when it's heated up before applying.

I replaced my rear derailleur with the SRAM etap, no cables to worry about breaking.

Kyllä varmasti vuosien varrella oppii nuo yleisimmät huoltokohteet. Niin, ja tietyillä komponenteilla nuo englanninkieliset nimet vaan on niin kauniita 😉 Muuten, tuossa Vantaanjoen varressa joku paineli ilmeisesti oranssilla Questilla soratietä pitkin yks aamu. Työmatkallani bongasin.

Nice video, one question... Why do you use so much chain oil? I only use 2 drops, as the chain is not exposed. Maybe the roads in Finland are more "dusty" and make the chain more "dirty"

It’s not oil, it’s wax. You have to apply it more and more often. It wears out more quickly than oil and it doesn’t like water. But the chain stays more clean than with oil. And because water stays outside of the velomobile, the chain wax is the perfect lubricant for velomobile chain.

@@TheVelomobileChannel Perhaps I should have written Oil / Grease / Wax...If using wax for bicycle chains, the chain must first be cleaned or, to put it correctly, degrease the chain before applying wax.

And btw is it the brand you use Squirt? Do not make a Google search in english....Now you warned :-)

My Quest has problem. My biggest oval chainrings is less usable. It automatically drops to a smaller. I have different chainrings than the standard. I have the Shimano oval rings.

Check the front derailleur adjustment. Sounds like the front derailleur is not in right position, so the chain drops to smaller chainring.
