    Metric system? Imperial system? Never heard of them. Here, we use the _Colin_ system; it’s far more superior. How long is your scooter? 1 Colin. How big is your house 44 square Collins. How much water can your pool hold? 28 cubic Colins. As you can see, it has a much broader spectrum of use and is far easier to understand

    The first video i ever watched on ur channel was when u were doing ur 4 mill subscriber celebration, with the "Giant, spinny, cagey, turny, fiery, 'thing'..." and my favourite episode i have seen so far has to be the badass underground bunker.
    In all of these amazing projects, i have never seen you get injured, i thought you to be un...injurable (If that is even a word).
    Either way, i do hope that your finger heals quickly and without any problems, cuz getting injuries sucks.

  • @JasonWorksAlot

    Oil pressure required into turbo because of the type of bearings it uses. The shaft actually rides on a thin film of oil (under pressure) the bearing is the restriction in the system and what creates the pressure, after the restriction it's little - to no pressure thusly running down into the tank. Just like a simple hydraulic circuit.

    • @fellenXD
      @fellenXD 5 лет назад +9

      Also, a restrictive outlet can make it force oil out of the bearings, which is sucked into the engine.

      fellenXD yes, good point. I forgot to mention that. Thanks for correcting me.

    • @SuperRandykid
      @SuperRandykid 5 лет назад +2

      Journal bearing turbos are good for things like this as you just smash a cheap oil pump on them and away you go. Only thing you need to do is make sure the drain is straight down and unrestricted.
      Ball bearing turbos are very picky about correct oil flow and pressures and are more likely to fail in projects like this due to the bearings being starved of oil due to low pressure, or push oil past the seals due to high flow and no restrictor valve when using a cheap unregulated oil transfer pump..

    • @JasonWorksAlot
      @JasonWorksAlot 5 лет назад +1

      SuperRandykid also in an application like this a ball bearing turbo would require water cooling.

But do you even know what you wanna be once you grow up if you are a 5 years old? Most of us don't end up being what we wanted to study in highchool so knowing a bunch of stuffs prepare us for that decision. Also, being forced to do things we don't like prepare us for the workforce where many times you'll be ask to do things outside your degree (a welder might be ask to cut and prepare pipes for example, or an engineer might have to do assistance work). @davesulphate4497 5 лет назад +12

      I would love to see a hydrogen powered gas turbine but there are some important issues I would like to advise you on.
      Hydrogen causes metals to become brittle at high temp' so dont run it for long or the turbine will likely violently self destruct.
      Hydrogen has a broad explosive limit range, so start the engine on regular fuel, turn on the hydrogen, then turn off the regular fuel to run, but switch back to regular fuel before u throttle down (to avoid an explosion in combustion chamber)
      Hydrogen is a pain in the bum to store as it will not liquify so you will need a large storage volume.
      Generate the hydrogen via electrolysis not by acid/metal reactions because the former is purer and the latter will often contain H2S wich is very toxic.
      YOU MUST ENSURE THE HYDROGEN IS NOT MIXED WITH ANY OXYGEN OR AIR OR YOUR STORAGE VESSEL COULD DETONATE!
