- DeMarcus Ware, Hatch, & T.O. talk about the 2007 Cowboys team that had 13 Pro Bowlers but unfortunately couldn't find post-season success. Other teams said they looked like the 'Monstars' taking the field, however they fell short that year to the NY Giants. Tune in for DeMarcus' insight on that season and more!

The 2007 season was such a great season and to end up not even making the NFC Championship game was a huge disappointment.

Nah that was Wade Phillips
I remember that well.

I still get pissed when I see that drop by Patrick Crayton doing a slant play in the 2007 Divisional playoffs vs the Giants.

Till this dam day bro
@tone 22 lmbo
It was the second to last play that lost the game
Romo was the problem and they both know it
Stop it
Romo never had a good D
Without romo the cowboys wouldve had drew bledsoe and believe me they wouldnt have been as good
Romo who at the time threw the 5th most tds in a season was the problem? Lol even though he had a garbage oline, a run game not ranked in the top 15, a post hand surgery butterfinger but still very athletic T.O. and...... below average Crayton, and old man Glenn as the receiving core and a average defense? Yeah be happy that cowboys had Romo because they would have gotten 5 wins at most in 2007 without Romo.
They would've still lost even if they made it to the super bowl. That Cowboys team in 2007 got blown out by the Patriots. 48-27. Only the Giants kept it closed with them in the regular season 38-35.
That doesn't matter it's game by game. Nfl is unpredictable. Who knows what would of happened. It's any given sunday baby
I didn’t know you could see the outcome.
Thats not true. Any given sunday
Still to this day that was a heartbreaker that 2007 team was the best dallas cowboys team since the dynasty cowboys of the 1990 the 3 superbowl cowboys teams of the 1990 s the 2007 dallas cowboys was stacked with 13 pro bowlers and the talent that team had was awesome but unfortunately they lost to the giants 17 to 21 and that giants who was 10 and 6 went on to upset the 18 and 0 patriots in the superbowl.
13 pro bowlers and you couldn’t beat a wild card team at home . It’s called choking !
That “Wildcard Team “ won the Superbowl.....
Coaching also @Big Dave
@@robertocervantes9359 great point. If I'm not mistaken, the 2000 ravens made the wildcard on their way to an eventual super bowl.Weren't the Steelers a wildcard the in one of their super bowl runs?
Proof talent does not win the Superbowl. Takes team chemistry.
They had the talent and chemistry. Just got outplayed in the playoffs
The lack of talent areas is what ultimately lost it. The second string tight end dropping a td that hit the guy in the chest. Crayton dropping a third down pass that Crayton could have ran down to the endzone or close to it. Crayton stutter stepping to not catch the game winner, Crayton dropping another first down, t.o. not locating the ball on a deep pass in the 4th. The garbage oline playing like their normal garbage self.
Of course talent wins SuperBowl and championships in sports.
The Cowboys just flat out choked this playoff game vs the giants.
The Cowboys being one week off had them sluggish and the giants had momentum after their last win.
All That damn Talent!!!!
It took me a couple of seasons to get over that😂
Imagine T.O. played w Dez Bryant. and Jason witten holy shit !!!!!!
Jason Witten getting spoon-fed 5-6 yard dump offs by his boy Romo when T.O. open 20 yards downfield, c'mon man
@@L-Cool Romo was a gunslinger, he slung it down field even when the receivers were covered. In fact Dez and Terrence Williams were covered all of the time, Romo didn't care he slung it down field to them accurately. Which is why without Romo they turned into nobodies. Calling Romo a check down qb is like calling Brett Favre a check down qb and Brady a gunslinger lol
13 pro bowlers and an avg at best QB.... We give these QBs, especially brady, too much praise when we had warriors like Moon Marino Elway Young who revolutionized the position and didn't have a rule created for them to stop taking hits so they could prolong their career.
Brady is the GOAT 🐐 fuck them old timers can you say 7!?!?!
Well he was undrafted what did u expect. Dude was better thsn average from where he came from Imo
Yeah an average qb, totally, the guy threw the 5th most tds in a season in nfl history at the time, and was all the way until the 2010s easy passing rules, 36 tds in just15 games, and sat several 4th quarters, or ran out clocks instead of inflating, plus T.O. dropping several more easy tds. Yet was "avg", even though he threw that many tds with a garbage oline, a run game not even ranked top 15, outside of butterfingers T.O. he had.....Crayton aka drop multiple tds in playoffs, and uh.....old man Glenn as the receiving core. Wow.
@@johnortan1890 Romo wasn’t average, he has the stats, but he wasn’t a clutch QB.
Romo failed many times in the clutch situations late in the seasons.
@@josecarranza7555 just 2008 when he had a broken throwing hand and 2012 when he played with multiple broken ribs that he broke in the week 16 shootout with new Orleans the week before. Odd thing to base a guys career off of. Especially when he led the nfl in comebacks from 06-15, and was statistically one of the greatest in clutch situations.
2011 he only played a series week 16, smashing his throwing hand, so couldn't play. And week 17 played solid the rest of the team was horrible. 2006 made playoffs, 2007 made playoffs where he defeated Packers to lock up the first seed and dominated that game throwing 4 tds would have been 5 if T.O. didn't pop up the easy catch for an int in the endzone, 2009 made playoffs that required an insanely clutch december which I already mentioned the teams he had to play, 2010 didn't play, 2014 had one of if not the greatest December of all time, and did this with Murray being injured. Not to mention being sacked 6 times vs Detroit, playing against the refs for most of the game and still leading a comeback passing td to win. Of course the next week vs green Bay made that clutch pass on 4th down that the refs took away.
lol and y'all lost at home to a team with 1 Pro-Bowler
Doesn't matter how many pro bowlers. U got. Giants had a nast defense.
@@Antbeast23 QB made a few throws too
Cool but the fact that they also beat the 13-3 Packers then the 18-0 patriots. It really doesn't matter that they had 1 pro bowler.
@@johnortan1890 It matters when they still talk about the QB like he got lucky as if he were somehow coddled by a mountain of talent around him.
@@akabancopop Manning was clutch in that super bowl, and it wasn't luck how they beat patriots. They straight up beat patriots. But against Cowboys and packers it required cowboys receivers to drop easy tds, also third down drops that could have been potential tds or at the very least clinched the game, very easy basic catches to make but dropped it. Then packers, Favre throwing the dumb int in the 4th, packers not picking up a very easy fumble to pick up, kept falling on it and it kept slipping out until a giants player finally got it. To set giants up in almost field goal range to get the game winner.
But still I wouldn't call that luck, its more the other teams choking. Brady made a career off of other teams choking even worse.
Tons if not most super bowl runs require what people call "luck" at times in playoffs. The only reason people focus of Manning's "luck" is just because Brady fans (a very vocal fanbase) is just bitter about giants beating them twice. Even though giants didn't beat them with luck.
The 2007 San Diego Chargers had like 19 Pro Bowlers .. what’s your point
I mean they only had 9 but u were close I guess 🤔
More like 9 pro bowlers nice try 👍🏾lol
Cowboys should have only had 5 anyways, Romo, Owens, Witten, Ware, and Williams. That oline was so horrendous, none of them had any business in the pro bowl and they proved how trash they were in playoffs and in the pro bowl. Barber was an exciting player but didn't even get 1000 yards. And was part of a run game not even ranked in the top 15.
Edit maybe Greg ellis should have also made pro bowl but that's it.
If only Romo and Witten didn’t go to Cabo.
Considering that they were the only 2 that actually played to win for both halves. Maybe the whole team should have went to cabo because everyone else was garbage in the second half, not blocking, not catching, not playing defense.
TO - Did you forget that you scored on Revis while you were with Dallas ?
Becuz you named him as your toughest corner ?
(( In my opinion it was C Wood & no " 1 " corner strapped you, certain DEFENSES contained you...like that 04'-06' Redskins Defense & that 04'-08' Steelers Defense & that 09'-2011 Jets Defense, but not the corner himself ))
>> So Where did all the Revis hype come from anyway ? You had no problems with him that day in Dallas.
* I believe The jets D and their coverages helped him look like a better corner than he actually was.

They lost to a really good giants defense. I don't remember eli only being on the team.
@@Antbeast23 Apparently ranking 17th in points is really good
TO got into the end zone but Toomer got in there twice, then Brandon Jacobs got in too and chucked the ball at the play clock, and the team of pro bowlers watched the SB from the couch because they peaked in November (I think the 07 Cowboys took their foot off the gas to cruise into the postseason and couldn't turn it back on again...the 08 Giants did the same)

T.O. IS RIGHT. THAT SEATTLE FUMBLE WAS OUR TRUE SUPER BOWL YEAR. DAMN. #ThatsMyQuarterback
Nah, I don't think that 06 Cowboys team beats that Bears team that went to the Super Bowl, not with that defense that the Bears had. If Parcells stayed for the 07 season though, Cabo definitely doesn't happen.
That team was clumsy if you watch the whole game instead of just the snap of that dumb slick balls the nfl rules required on field goals that season, you would see that, that team was just not ready. There were 4-5 easy 3rd down drops. Witten fumbling in field goal range on a deep pass, Glenn fumbling and flinging the ball back to the endzone to cause a safety in the middle of the fourth, then the defense allowing Seattle to get a td off of the safety. That whole game was a mess.
2007 was the first yr i got into the NFL. That Cowboys team was STACKED. Wouldve loved to see them face the 07 pats
They did around wk 3 0r 5. They both were undefeated
I wouldn't say stacked, passing game was the only thing on the entire team that was ranked highly. The oline was garbage the run game was not even top 15, the defense was like 9 in yards and 13 in points allowed.
@@johnortan1890 they still had 13 pro bowlers thats stacked
@@handsomedevil254 Probowls don't mean shit, Cowboys used to get probowlers off popularity alone. All-pro is much more telling.
Most of those probowlers stunk in 08 and were off the team by 09.
And, still no secondary. Couldnt stop anyone from throwing that ball up and down the field. Plus choke-o hitting whitten every other pass (with no TDs) and missing all the open receivers that can move the ball.
Only one pure offense team has ever won a SB. Several pure D teams have won. If the Boys stop over drafting RBs and WRs when they already have them, and secure that secondary they havent replaced since woodson left, they might run for some titles.
You need to be good on both sides.
Trevon Diggs has entered the chat
@@JoeDFWAviation You see how they win when he goes off too.
"And missing all the open receivers that can move the ball", yeah...... the thing about moving the ball is that you have to catch it. Crayton dropping a key third down that Romo escape a sack and did a no look side arm that hit Crayton beautifully on the run that Crayton could have ran down to the endzone, but the guy dropped it. Then at the end of the game on 3rd down Crayton stutter steps to not catch the game winning td. Plus Crayton dropped another catch. Or Fasano who dropped a td that hit Fasano in the chest, or T.O. who could not locate a beautifully thrown deep ball in the fourth so it fell right in front of Owens face. But yeah..... it was Romo missing them.
@@johnortan1890 Ok but you cant catch balls that werent thrown to you. When guys are by themselves 30yds down the field you have to try but he was trying too hard to check down to a TE with 1200 yards a 3 TDs while TEs with 500 yards had 7 and 8 TDs.
Dont know if you know but your trying to get TDs not yards. Romo was good inside the 20s and terrible for scoring. 1 playoff win says it all.
You can pick a few plays but Ill go with an entire career.

Yeah but Daks rookie year they had the best oline, best runningback and a top 5 defense. 2007 cowboys had a trash oline, a run game not even in the top 15 and 13th ranked defense.
2Part Question to answer for the fans...
> At what 4-5 year period in your career do you think you were at your fastest ?
(( In my opinion it was your last 3 years in SF and your 1st yr with Phili ))
> An what was your 40 during that particular period ?
Like TO said the season of the Romo fumble, that was their best chance to win a super bowl.
The year Romo fumbled the field goal snap the Cowboys were a 9-7 wild card team. They did not have 13 pro bowlers. To make it sound that Romo cost them a chance to win the Super Bowl is so fricken unfair.
@@LennonAndPetersDad it was Romos fault when he fumbled the snap. That year the Seahawks went to the super bowl, Dallas was rolling which showed the following year, the year they had 13 pro bowlers. Romo bobbled the snap, and he almost made into the end zone if Gramatica could’ve blocked that guy. Cowboys should’ve won that game.
@@mariojaramillo8881 the Seahawks didn’t go to the super bowl that year . The bears and colts were in the super bowl that year.
How was it their best chance ? They went 9-7 and barely made the playoffs in 2006-07 the year of Romo’s fumble. I think the cowboys would’ve matched up better vs the bears but the saints(nfc runner up) annihilated them that same year in BIG D. But they were the first team to beat the colts(super bowl winners) in 2006-07. However I think their best chance was a year later when they went 13-3 with the 13 pro bowlers 2007-08.
@@COWBOYZFANable my bad, then their odds were even better to reach the super bowl. Romo started midway through the season. You’re telling me, if the Cowboys went in 2007 they would’ve won against the Patriots? 06 was their best shot.

Roy Williams did a clean horse collar tackle, it wasn't a rule yet, so why would T.O. be mad? It was just part of the game.

Romo fans always said Romo didn’t have any help. Guess this disproves that
How so? The only thing that team was great at was passing.
The 2006, 07, 08, and 09 cowboys were stacked head to toe. This was coming off the 3 yr rebuild from parcels and romo finally came alive. The giants game will always be my most heartbreaking loss as a fan of the team
