That's what we wanted to find out, so we pitted three 2020 spikeless shoes at different price points up against each other at West Hill Golf Club to see how they compared.

To clarify, we chose the FootJoy Pro/SL as the 'expensive' golf shoe option because of its number one position in the market, both on tour and at retail, and that the brand's Feature Product Partnership with Golf Monthly had no influence on opinions within this test.
I think the key when looking at golf shoes is durability: Outsole, waterproofness, and overall construction. That's something extremely important that you can test for in 6 holes. I would put my money on the sketchers and FJ lasting a bit longer, which is fairly important to me
Interesting that you claim performance to be the most important aspect yet your review is all about comfort. And the most comfortable is the broken in shoe that you have worn for some time. Had all the shoes fit well and were comfortable on your particular foot shape then basing this review on performance might actually be worthwhile.
I was a loyal Footjoy fan for years. Until I brought their top line shoe. I got blasters the first time I wore them. Now I have found Addis to be superior in every way. Addis are light, and they"re supportive yet so comfortable they feel like slippers.
Had Footjoys for years as I need wide fit. Had a pair of the previous SL and they were the most uncomfortable shoes I ever had. Had Sketchers since then and love them but hard to find people who stock wide or RF models.
The last Footjoys I bought were very comfortable but only lasted one winter before they were completely ruined - internal lining all ripped, outer was all scuffed and broken apart. Wouldn't touch Footjoys with a bargepole now.
I play very early, so a must-have is a very waterproof shoe. At the moment, I love Adidas with the BOA lacing system.
This is dangerously misleading.... this is a paid endorsement in the format of a review. The fact you don't mention it in the video is very misleading and breaks multiple codes of conduct from the CMA, even if you're not breaking the law because you've stated it's a featured product in the description which is hidden by default, and avoided the use of the word "review" (replacing it with "test") in the video! It still gives a feeling of a review and i might send this to the CMA to get their view on it.

Started with Footjoy and had to change to a more pricey but more comfortable model in the range. Inesis also good

I rock the previous generation Sketchers. They are the most comfortable golf shoe I have ever owned, and provide me a stable base for my shots.
Always wore Ecco, but recently tried Sqairz. Very comfortable (especially for a wide foot) and extremely stable. A little pricey, but worth it.
Try out the Inesis Golf shoe from Decathlon, £54.99 available in 6 colour options and Waterproof, what's not to like!

The real test is how durable is the shoe. Every sneaker company is now making a golf shoe. FJ will last at least more than a 100 rounds, I bet the cheaper ones fall apart.

Sketchers all day long for me, probably not wise to wear a FJ shirt when reviewing another of their products

Joel, Why do all golf shoes look like joggers? Why do they all have white trim on the sole, regardless of shoe colour? Where are the classic golf shoes - the Footjoy Classics, the Dexters, the Niblicks, and so on. Very hard to find these days.
YT should start The Opinion Channel. Who cares what this gentleman thinks of golf shoes? Everyone has a unique fitting & price point. I can make that decision on my own. Spend your money on lessons.
I’ve had 2 pairs of Pro SL and then I bought a pair of Sketchers.....
I won’t be buying any more Pro SL, the sketchers are far more comfortable, they don’t let water in down the side of the tongue and the grip is just as good. Also the light weight saves a bit of energy you can use on last few holes 👌
Foot joy shoes don’t last the heel linings wear very quickly Try Ecco best fit , waterproof and they last.

Just get adidas boa ones. They are amazing. Played 3 weeks in a row in nothing but rain while wearing shorts, and I still never got my feet wet or cold, and haven't slipped once even on mucky tee-boxes. Unreal
Totally subjective. Didn't try in differnt conditions and only over 6 holes. Normally like the channel and its contents but this was as useful as a chocolate teapot
I like Foot Joys and some Adidas shoe but Adidas dropped the model I really like so it's Foot Joy from Tee to Green....
Sketchers all day. That snug fit is designed to mold to your feet over time. Ive had all makes of shoes but now i will stick with Sketchers

If you expect more than 3 months of life from your golf shoe, DO NOT buy Rife shoes. I'm actually wondering if they are made of some type of high grade cardboard. Truly shocking quality.

Won't be buying FJ any time soon , they used to last for year's , now your lucky to get 18 months out of them, my last pair £129 ,I got 14 month's before they started to leak & I was using dubbin.
I live in the USA and I am unfamiliar with what I Pound is or how much is in a pound I would like to know the value of the shoes in dollars
59 pounds would be almost 70 US dollars....that's the cheap option??

I wouldn't be caught dead in shoes like this. Arnold Palmer always wanted to be grounded/low to the course. I still have 2 pairs of Callaway Wingtips. Spend the 500 dollars and never worry again.🐈
