Never have I heard this theme on piano, I would have said it would be too hard to do it justice. That would have been wrong, I simply didn't know you were there to make this happen!! How excellent...🎉
This version is great. You should also listen to a version done by bobblewobblesqeeg or something like that. It doesn't have the high production quality of this one but it's still a great rendition.
Wow. Beautifully played, as always. I couldn't tell you how much love this theme, but I can tell you did it justice. It brings back good memories, especially the ones when we're storming the Palamecia to save Sazh and Vanille. I think we succeeded in making a lot of PSICOM guys nervous. And whenever this theme played during one of Titan's Trials, I knew for sure the enemy ahead will be nearly unstoppable. Good times. If only I could experience the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy again, but on my PlayStation 5. That would be nice.
The section between 0:53 to 1:01 is amazing detail to how the original song is constructed and the attempt to capture the intensity and epic build up that happens each time the horns blare and that group of strings that exists in that same fashion as those five descending steps he makes four times on the third repetition. Absolutely amazing.
Well done! I was really wondering if it would be possible to really do a piano version of this song and actually include the piano parts in it! You adapted well with your performance.
As much as I absolutely love 5/4 time, the build-up that you did from 1:40 to 1:55 was just so dramatic! Then the way it sped back up in 3/4 time, just gorgeous!! Fantastic job! :)
