So glad to see more videos!!! We missed you Mel!! Totally weird but I thought the rats were cute....from a distance of course and during the whole video I kept thinking “oh my, I hope she has pepper spray on her” some way to protect yourself out there alone in the woods! I watch too much criminal minds (HA!) stay safe and we will be waiting for the next one! 😁
Hehe they were cute! They creeped me out cause of where they were, but I have a feeling they were pets at one point. Poor things! I should invest in some spray probably, might be a good idea!

Those are actually pet rats that someone abandoned there, poor little guys. Their color is called a Himalayan or Siamese. Very sad when people abandon their pets.
That’s what my brother in law said too. That’s so sad!! They looked well fed, maybe someone is feeding them. I sure hope so!
Those are actually domestic rats, likely abandoned, yet they still looked quite clean and healthy for the condition theyre in. I believe i heard there was someone involved in rescuing them? If you know anything about this please update me :)
I wish I knew, maybe I will have to head back there and look to see if they are gone. I personally cannot take them in, but I wonder if a rescue might? There was 3 that I saw, could have been more. They did look pretty good, I’m wondering if they belong to a person who lives in a trailer nearby.
@@itsaguntherthing9285 a small animal rescue would definitely take them in if theyre still in need of rescue. The fact that there are domestic rats in this type of situation caught the attention of a pet rat group im in on facebook, and many people who are closer to the area were willing to help as well if needed. It looked like theres males and females in there so theyre likely breeding, therefore potentially even more domestic rats in need of help. It was just uncertain if there was actually someone already in the process of recsuing them or not. If you do end up going back, i know at least the facebook group would wanna know if they're still there or not, lol. The name of the group is The Rat Fan Club :p

Kellie Michaud I found the group! I really need to apologize to a few people there for sure! My intentions were not to show everyone that I’m grossed out by rats, but rather just to show my feelings around being there. More so the situation the rats were in, domestic or not, grossed me out way more than the pets. I am going to go back this weekend for sure, and I will update you! 💜
