No matter how many times I need to clean the dyson I always forget the correct order and have to watch your video again. It is very clear and easy to understand.
One little tip I like to give to Dyson owners is to empty the bin after each use, close the bin back up and then turn on the max power mode and pull the trigger for a few seconds. That way it uses the high power mode to extract more dirt into the bin at which point you can empty it again which keeps the entire machine cleaner in between each use.
Very helpfull, thnx! I also found out that after (the second time) you emptied the bin and the bin is still open, you can firmly 'tik' the flat bottom side of the dyson a few times on the edge of the trashcan. That way you can see a lot of very fine dust and dirt falling out of the 'center ring' (the ring in the middle of the bin, which is cleaned by a paint brush in this video). I hope that my explanation makes any sense🙈 I found myself having a hard time to translate this from Dutch to English haha😅

Since common sense isn’t common these days, I felt the need to mention that there are TWO CHANGEABLE FILTERS IN THIS THAT YLU CAN BUY ONLY AND THEY SHOULD BE CHANGED REGULARLY!!!
Absolute best video for cleaning the V8 and no annoying music. I've only had my Dyson for one day and have already had to refer to this a couple times. Thank you for posting.
I have had a V8 for 5 years or so and it works great. The one thing I do differently is that I use my air compressor to blow all the dirt out of the unit once dismantled. I also have a V6 and just purchased the Outsize Absolute plus. I highly recommend the air compressor approach in lieu of the paint brush method.
Just adding to the other users who found this helpful. Note I did use water to clean my filters and had to wait quite a bit for it to dry out. In my case I'd vacuumed ditumaceous earth that fell on the floor and that really clogged all filters. Even with the water and some anxious moments, it did work after a long period of drying and putting on max for a 30 seconds to force the filtration (after having been as dry as I could get it).
Thanks for the video. For cleaning the metal screen and cyclone air piece (6:17), if you have an air compressor it can do wonders for getting fine dust out (outside!). This is especially helpful if you've been using the vacuum on drywall or plaster dust, and it's amazing how much gets trapped in this piece.
@@deenasteinberg9800 possibly. If it has a tank and you can use a spray nozzle (instead of a tire valve adapter) then it should be doable. If no tank and low flow rate (like a tire pump) then no.

Thanks for the information on how to clean Dyson V8. One extra tip, is to unclipped the blue filter and wash the inside of the filter. There will be dirt and dust inside the blue filter.
When the unit has not been cleaned/maintained in a long time, I suggest not to wash the fabric triangular/funnel shape filter as explained in the video. The reason for that is because the dirt is collected/trapped inside that filter. If the filter is washed without properly been clean from the inside, then there is a high risk of the dirt clogging in the filter. I suggest to first remove the filter's tap/lid/cover, then to vacuum the dirt inside the filter, and to use a brush to loose the dirt trapped inside. Only after that, the filter can be washed as shown in the video. Never to run water inside the filter as that will push the dirt further inside the filter causing a clogged filter.
7:25 I recommend washing this out with soapy warm water. I do this on all my dyson models. Shake out any left over water and leave it to dry out. I also blow out the motor 2:25 with air which stores a lot of dust
I have a question about blowing out the motor with air: wouldn't that risk harming the motor? It seems you'd be blowing dust into the motor which can't be good. What kind if tiny device sucks out the dust from small spaces rather than blowing it out?
Bro I know this is an old video but you really helped me out today. I was actually gonna buy a new one because mine was so beat up. I had no idea it came apart like that. Game changer. It works like new. Liked and subscribed bro. You made a difference today.
1st: Thank you so much for presenting this video on-line. I do not recall any directions from Dyson, in their booklet that came with the machine. The video is very professional and to the point. 2nd: I am not making this comment concerning Dan's comment, so please do not misunderstand me. Dan said, "Kind of stupid that Dyson designed this so you can't clean the most dirty part of the vacuum, the part above the canister." I AGREE, 100%! Every Fall, (back in the day), when the weather cooled, I would take all seven of my $30.00 room-floor-fans and place them in my driveway. I had a hot water valve that I rigged up so that I could have any temp of water going into a garden hose. I would set the temp around 190F (like a cup of coffee) and hose all over the fans, blades, motor, cords, etc., to make sure I got the dust out. Some times, I would have to do a small disassembly of the blade guard, and use a towel to clean the grit out. I then left them out overnight (on the back deck so nobody could see/steal them). I then took them inside, where they stayed in a storage room for six months, before I pulled them out to use again. Now, I never knew how long it took for everything to dry, and should anything rust, I could repair/replace as needed (not much money). Nothing ever rusted and they all worked as expected for years (my nephew wanted them when I moved and I never heard about them since. I never shared my story about them, to him, either). Now, if I could find a V8 Dyson at a yard sale or flea market at a very, very low price, I would do the same thing. But, I am an old school guy. So, I would take it apart, hose out that part above the cannister, keep it in a warm place for three months, and then test it, to see if it worked (I'd also be concerned with any copper wires or lubrication points, and if it worked, I would continue with the hosing and drying for two months, then one month, and then stop at two weeks. Two weeks, and if it still worked, I would be satisfied. I am just sharing my thoughts, here. Remember, these machines originally cost around $800.00. So I would not try this on my main vacuum. Also remember, what would happen if it was wet! Just sharing my life experiences and my thoughts. After all, I really love my Dyson. Why? Because it really, truly, sucks!
Hey thanks for uploading this. There’s one thing I need to point out. The transparent bin may look like just a plastic part but it has electronics in the grey plastic and water can get inside if you rinse it. It’s the circuit that gives power to the motor of the extension head so be careful. The cyclone is the one that can be rinsed but difficult to dry.
I know this is an old comment but I did rinse this part and I'm concerned I may have gotten water on the inside or near the electronics. I'm letting it dry overnight, but are there any other precautions I should take so this doesn't ruin the vacuum when I reattach?
@@atxbee let it dry thoroughly overnight and it worked fine the next day. We still have the vacuum and use it almost daily, so I'd say it ended up fine!
I use the air compressor and blow it through to rid dust, takes 1 minute. I find it has to be done quite regularly. Filters have to be washed regularly aswell.
On the one hand, I have just spent eight minutes of my life watching a video on how to clean a vacuum cleaner. Eight minutes I will never get back. On the other hand, I now know how to clean my vacuum cleaner and I will never have to watch it again. So thank you (I think)
thanks a lot, your video helped me clean my dyson.. I was using it since 2 years and had never cleaned it. Lately it started giving foul odor and I was thinking of replacing it with newer version. After cleaning it like you instructed, the odor is gone and the suction has improved. Thank you!
It’s absolutely disturbing 😮 when reading the comment section not only in this video BUT in ALL videos these days!!!🆘 Common sense isn’t common at all anymore 🆘 AND THATS A SAD FACT ✅ Another INSANE thing is that over half of the comments here are people saying they took apart the vacuum and spent HOURS 😂trying to get it back together…. how in the heck is that possible when it isn’t hard at all and is self-explanatory by just looking at it and trying to connect it back together and if not clicking then trying it another direction, just like someone would do when putting together a PUZZLE!!! 🧩 Also TONS of people are saying they have NEVWR CLEANED IT 😮 AND IT SMELLS 😂 and have had it for a few YEARS… that’s MIND BLOWING 🤯 which leads me to feel the NEED to mention that 🆘 there are 2 filters in this vacuum and that they should be CHANGED REGULARLY 😂 and God forbid I don’t mention to all of you “WHERE TO FIND THEM”, because I guarantee that will be one of the first questions asked 😂 it’s like people literally don’t even know how to go to their search engine (now if you don’t know what that is then you are past help) and type in a question… ANY QUESTION IN THE WORLD… THERE ARE MILLIONS OF LINKS TO EVERY SINGLE QUESTION AND THE ANSWERS ARE ALL AT OUR FINGERTIPS 24/7!!! It’s a SAD FACT that probably 95% of people don’t do their own research (or ANY research) on ANYTHING and BLINDLY TRUST THE ANSWERS YOU GET FROM ANYONE IN VIDEOS OR ANYONE WEARING A WHITE COAT (doctors, pharmacists, scientists which is why the IQ IS GOING DOWN, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE THAT GOT THE “THING” THAT CAME OUT A COUPLE YEARS AGO etc) the answers they are given, even though they may sound intelligent and normally give good answers on everything else BUT WHO’S TO SAY THEY DIDN’T DO THEIR PROPER RESEARCH ON JUST ONE QUESTION 🆘 NEEDING THE ANSWER FOR AND WHAT IF ITS A LIFE OR DEATH QUESTION?!?! 🆘🆘🆘 OR MAYBE THEY GOT THE INFO THEY ARE GIVING YOU FROM ONE OF THEIR “TRUSTED SOURCES” AND THEY DIDN’T LOOK INTO IT AT ALL BY THEMSELVES AND AUTOMATICALLY BELIEVED IT WAS CORRECT 🆘🆘🆘 SO THIS IS THE PROBLEM THESE DAYS AND THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WE ARE IN THE SITUATION THAT WE ARE!!! Find Yahweh and read His word DAILY…. Hosea 4:6 my people perish from lack of knowledge!!!
If you want to take it a step further and have a hair dryer with a cold mode (or an air compressor) you can give everything a quick blast of air on a regular basis to stop dust and grime from caking up inside. Just make sure you only use the cold mode so you don't accidentally toast any internal components.
The very BEST tutorial for cleaning a Dyson Vac! Only additional tip of assistance? ... is a small "pancake " air compressor and a dust mask make very quick and complete work of what a brush can do for you! 😊
I have repurposed a cat's toothbrush (which he refused to use) to reach inside and clean out the middle. It pulled out a lot of fine dirt. Thanks for a great video. Also thanks to your similar video on cleaning the V6, I was able to get a pretty good price for it on E-bay when I graduated to the V8.
Great for picking up small debris's and dust, but don't get anything wet in there. That makes it very difficult to clean and the machine starts to smell. But as a dry, quick run around it is very good.
I had an issue with the cyclone assembly (yeah I looked it up) no longer freely sliding in the bin after cleaning. I'm guessing the bin gasket and the silver metal mesh are both lightly coated with a lubricate from the factory which cleaning removed. I brushed some wd-40 on both with a tissue. Problem solved. Great video. Thanks
Thank you so much you have just literally made my day I thought it was gone for good I didn't realise that you can get into it so much so you can give it a good clean I'm going to watch u again tomorrow and I'm going to give it a good clean for the new year it pays at the end of the day
Yes, even though some of the cleaning videos are several years old, they are still relevant and hopefully helping people to maintain and keep the older Dyson vacuums going.
Thankyou - have been guided by your video to clean my wonderful Dyson stick vac - todays cleaning now completed and am just waiting for the filter to dry out before getting into vaccuming once again...cheers and again thanks.
Hello! Thanks for this video! Super helpful! I actually thought I had the V6 so I followed your video on that one in my V8 and it seemed it’s pretty much the same. I did notice that on the V6 video, you took apart the inside filters (not just removing the rubber seals) and it seemed to be the same on my V8. So hopefully I still did it right as I want to keep this V8 a couple more years. Thanks again!
Great job explaining how to do this I watched another one and she was wrong and it wouldn’t come apart. I did buy a few replacement filters when I purchased my Dyson. I had to vacuum spilled baking soda so everything was a mess. Thanks to you all is clean now and drying outside.
when you put the not fluffy head back together I have to say you missed an important step. the blue roll with the black bristles comes out and you slide it back in but there is a large grey cap on teh side that has the coin lock and unlock well that coin pops off and there is a TON of dust behind it that can be brushed out.
I'm ashamed to say that I've neglected my vacuum. I want to remedy that. Thank you for this video, I found it immensely helpful. I realise it was posted a long time ago, but I'm going to go ahead and ask: can I dry the washed parts in the sun, or would that warp the foamy bits?
Thanks for this video. I particularly like how to dismantle the inner core to clean...it has frustrated me not being able to remove the dust in this section...after time the build it gets smelly!
You should never use the flat head screwdriver to open the panels, except in case of the fluffy head I think. The slots are designed to take a coin and not a screwdriver. You risk a cam out and damaging the plastic slot when using a flat head screwdriver since the grove is curved and not straight in most of the cases. I see this as a common mistake in many places; take lead acid battery filler caps for example, I have seen many a mechanic doing the same causing the plastic slots to cam out. Also, popping the rubber seats often to clean will cause them to stretch so try to keep it to a minimum. Otherwise, a very detailed video to understand the cleaning process and helped me make a decision on the V8 purchase. 👍
My mistake was not doing this sooner! It started stuttering, similar to when it's sucking on a solid surface so I found this video and did it. Didn't notice that it had lost sucking power - now it's louder and def improved sucking power. Dried it for around 24 hours but also live in a dry climate.
Just did this, vac is like new, smells great with the use of a water free air wick spray 'Pure', used an artist paint brush for all the dirt removal and as used no water I could put it back together straight away. 😊
Shouldn't you be doing this outdoors or near at least a strong HEPA? I guess it depends what you suck up but with using mine in an are a solder often, I'd be getting a nice lead dusting everywhere. I just use computer duster or an air compressor to get the dust out, which is located in the garage and has an air filter but a fan blowing out from where you're working is a good enough solution. Have to clean the main cyclone area every week or so, same with the dyson cinetic big ball. Constant caking of dust. No idea why they would suggest the V8 and cinetic are more hygenic to empty, my old dysons (original root 6, first handheld, and dc48 animal) didn't have this level of dust caking and they are lower powered. Off topic but the cinetic big ball comes with a stupidly short hose that makes it almost unusable for anything above shoulder height as you run out of hose. Luckily support sent me pretty much every accessory for free along with a 2nd hose for both the cinetic big ball (actually 2 hoses, and it came with one) so I was able to combine 2 hoses for the big ball together after taking off the part that clips to the tank on one end and the rotating part where the hose attaches to the accessory. Connect those two parts together and instantly it becomes 100x more useful. The left over socket where accessories from the big ball attached that was removed for the double hose was then press fit onto the extra V8 hose and now it can use any accessory (v8 hose is smaller diameter.) Had no isses with these modifications and using the bigger tools on the v8 is great! Should be an option in the store. Customer Service sure gives away accessories like crazy if not satisfied with the product. Hundreds of dollars worth of them and parts (including 2nd v8 canister) and I didn't ask for any of them. Pays to buy from Dyson direct.
Thank you so much! We used our Dyson to catch a roach one night and it got stuck inside the filter column. Thanks to you we managed to get rid of it. 😉
This is great ... however I have a very hairy golden retriever an have lots of fur wrapped around the two little wheels .... I’m assuming I can only do what I’m doing ... cut the fur carefully and then pull the fur hard ... not all comes away but most ....I need to buy myself a cheap paintbrush to do a good job but paper towel worked for now ... thank you for this video
1:32 can we clean the container that hold the long filter? because I wash this too and when it dry, it gives off very bad odor (exactly like stinky socks), especially during vacuuming.
great video, however, I still have something going on and wondering if you have any advise. the battery starts to pulsate. if I depress without accessories and cover the front opening it pulses, but no cover the battery works. I'm not able to find any blockages after cleaning. ?????
Absolutely love you cleaning and maintenance video HOWEVER. COULD you please tell me why the little motor at the back near the handle runs hot. and at times it makes a screaming noise. Please. HELP. many thanks Donna
It shouldn't get that hot, i assume the filters are clean? Also it def shouldn't make the screaming noise, how old is the vacuum? If its under 2 years old, i would contact Dyson as they should be able to sort it under the warranty.
Hi, I wouldn't recommend washing this with water as it can damage some of the components especially things like the bearings inside. Just use a damp cloth or wet wipe to surface clean the head.

Irish Stew That would be nice but living in the Houston Texas area the entire units would be covered in rust the next day, lol.
You don’t need to clean ‘the part above the canister.’
@@doughenderson6089what ended up happening lmao?
@@atxbee let it dry thoroughly overnight and it worked fine the next day. We still have the vacuum and use it almost daily, so I'd say it ended up fine!
I use the air compressor and blow it through to rid dust, takes 1 minute. I find it has to be done quite regularly. Filters have to be washed regularly aswell.
Yes, when the Dyson switches from on to off a few times after each other, it's time to clean. After cleaning, it works again.
Thank you for the step-by-step cleaning procedure, the filters are drying and I am feeling more confident about maintaining the vacuum!
I just purchased one. Crazy!! No instructions in the box!
Thank you for an excellent video. Clear spoken step by step instructions are an absolute stand out!
Glad the video was helpful for you. Thanks for the great feedback 😊
On the one hand, I have just spent eight minutes of my life watching a video on how to clean a vacuum cleaner. Eight minutes I will never get back. On the other hand, I now know how to clean my vacuum cleaner and I will never have to watch it again. So thank you (I think)
I spent at least 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do between 2:57 and 3:00 - thank you!!!!
lol same
@@huseyinalupveren3768 haha, so wasn't jus me looking at waiting for something to happen
Thank you ever so much for this video. I just cleaned my dyson it was so dirty. Not even dyson have a video as useful as this. Many thanks again
thanks a lot, your video helped me clean my dyson.. I was using it since 2 years and had never cleaned it. Lately it started giving foul odor and I was thinking of replacing it with newer version. After cleaning it like you instructed, the odor is gone and the suction has improved. Thank you!
No problem, glad it was useful for you
It’s absolutely disturbing 😮 when reading the comment section not only in this video BUT in ALL videos these days!!!🆘 Common sense isn’t common at all anymore 🆘 AND THATS A SAD FACT ✅ Another INSANE thing is that over half of the comments here are people saying they took apart the vacuum and spent HOURS 😂trying to get it back together…. how in the heck is that possible when it isn’t hard at all and is self-explanatory by just looking at it and trying to connect it back together and if not clicking then trying it another direction, just like someone would do when putting together a PUZZLE!!! 🆘🆘🆘 OR MAYBE THEY GOT THE INFO THEY ARE GIVING YOU FROM ONE OF THEIR “TRUSTED SOURCES” AND THEY DIDN’T LOOK INTO IT AT ALL BY THEMSELVES AND AUTOMATICALLY BELIEVED IT WAS CORRECT 🆘🆘🆘
SO THIS IS THE PROBLEM THESE DAYS AND THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WE ARE IN THE SITUATION THAT WE ARE!!! Find Yahweh and read His word DAILY…. Hosea 4:6 my people perish from lack of knowledge!!!
Facts ❤
If you want to take it a step further and have a hair dryer with a cold mode (or an air compressor) you can give everything a quick blast of air on a regular basis to stop dust and grime from caking up inside. Just make sure you only use the cold mode so you don't accidentally toast any internal components.
The very BEST tutorial for cleaning a Dyson Vac! Only additional tip of assistance? ... is a small "pancake " air compressor and a dust mask make very quick and complete work of what a brush can do for you! 😊
Yes thats true. Thanks for the great feedback. 👍
just had mum call and say her v8 wasn't working....thanks for the info I'm now subscribed
Thanks
Thank you so much you have just literally made my day I thought it was gone for good I didn't realise that you can get into it so much so you can give it a good clean I'm going to watch u again tomorrow and I'm going to give it a good clean for the new year it pays at the end of the day
Great to hear that, thanks very much for the feedback
Thank you so much! Your video addresses everything I needed to clean with my V8.
Take Note: Operating Manual says to use COLD water, NOT warm water.
Exactly
My guess would be that with warm water, any glue in there may be at risk of dissolving.
Wanted to comment this myself haha
7 years later, still helps!! Thanks a lot :-)
Compressed canned air is also good to get into the little nooks and crannies to get all the dust out.
Still using this video once a week to clean my vacuum. Best vacuum - and best video. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
Great video. Thanks! A straw cleaning brush kit (reusable straws) might work well for that tight space inside the motor.
Nice video; I love my V8 Animal and now I know how to dismantle and clean it. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Your video is very comprehensive but easy to follow. 🙂
A wonderful, instructional video that goes step by step and makes perfect sense. Thank you so very much!!!
Great job explaining how to do this I watched another one and she was wrong and it wouldn’t come apart. I did buy a few replacement filters when I purchased my Dyson. I had to vacuum spilled baking soda so everything was a mess. Thanks to you all is clean now and drying outside.
Thank you my friend for taking the time to make this helpful video.
when you put the not fluffy head back together I have to say you missed an important step. the blue roll with the black bristles comes out and you slide it back in but there is a large grey cap on teh side that has the coin lock and unlock well that coin pops off and there is a TON of dust behind it that can be brushed out.
I wouldn't recommend drying them in the sun. Just leave them to dry by your sink for 24 hours to make sure they are completely dry.
Thanks for this video. I particularly like how to dismantle the inner core to clean...it has frustrated me not being able to remove the dust in this section...after time the build it gets smelly!
Diana Townsend Yes! For 4yrs, I have blowing out, outside!
Mine too. Wonder if it could be dismantled like V7.
Thank you for these videos I am always scared to dismantle new items, but if I get stuck, I can come back to this 😊 to this
Thank you so much for this simple and extremely helpful video :)
Excellent instructions on cleaning and reassembly! I was having problems getting it back together. Thank you so much!
Agree
Great video. Dissasembled and cleaned while I was waiting for the new battery to charge🙂
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed to give my vacuum a tune up.
Great to know it was helpful for you. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you, even more useful than Dyson's support videos!
Thanks
Super helpful!!! I've been thinking how to clean it and this makes total sense
Thank you so much for this video! I never knew how to take my vacuum apart! I misplaced the manual!!
My mistake was not doing this sooner! It started stuttering, similar to when it's sucking on a solid surface so I found this video and did it. Didn't notice that it had lost sucking power - now it's louder and def improved sucking power. Dried it for around 24 hours but also live in a dry climate.
This is great to hear the video was useful for you.
Just did this, vac is like new, smells great with the use of a water free air wick spray 'Pure', used an artist paint brush for all the dirt removal and as used no water I could put it back together straight away. 😊
Dyson v8 cleaning
Fabulous video - very well done. I just got my Animal and very happy to see how to clean it properly. Thank you.
Thanks for this, how often do you recommend cleaning
One more thing I add a few of those in washer scent beads to my bin and when I vacuum a nice scent comes out.
Great tip! Thanks for the feedback
thank you for this video. it's much more helpful than the official Dyson videos
Glad I found this! Very helpful even after all this time
Thank you so much!
We used our Dyson to catch a roach one night and it got stuck inside the filter column. Thanks to you we managed to get rid of it. 😉
You can afford a Dyson but you have roaches. Weird
Very clear ! And what a nice voice you have ! Thank you !
Thanks very much
Funny how life is I use a ninfisk vacuum to clean my Dyson, well explained and clear video congrats
Great video! Both me and my brother use it every time it's time to clean the Dyson 😄
Thank you!!!! Cleaned my cleaner with no problem after watching😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great to hear the video was useful for you.
Exceptionally easy to understand, and the video is thorough. I recommend this for anyone, especially someone who learns visually.
Brilliant….thank you - I never knew there were parts that could be separated to allow cleaning. 😀
Love this vacuum cleaner. Best purchase that I have made
Thanks for that! What about the hairs that get tangled in the wheels? How should i take them out? Thanks again!
This is the most British thing I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for this video from Spain
1:32 can we clean the container that hold the long filter? because I wash this too and when it dry, it gives off very bad odor (exactly like stinky socks), especially during vacuuming.
Normally when it smells, it could mean that the filter needs replacing rather than washing again
Compressed air, works well (out doors).
Only a Brit would do this in shirtsleeves 🤣🤣. Thanks mate ! Very good video
Cool, thanks. Great video.
But how often should I do this in general?
Hugo Foong on the whole you should only need to do this every 3-4 months. It very much depends on how dirty the vacuum gets.
Great. Thanks Lords Electrical!
Noob here. SO thankful for this clear video. 🙂
Thanks for the great feedback
Brilliant!! Just cleaned out ours this morning after watching your video. Thank you for sharing!
I want to point out that Dyson says that wash filters with normal/cool water. Not warm
Thanks - vacuum works like new again. Great vid and instructions
I love my Dyson V8 Absolute, I have 1 for the house and 1 for the lake house and they make vacuuming a breeze
This is helpful thank you!
great video, however, I still have something going on and wondering if you have any advise. the battery starts to pulsate. if I depress without accessories and cover the front opening it pulses, but no cover the battery works. I'm not able to find any blockages after cleaning. ?????
It could be down to the filters need either cleaning, or if you have washed them several times they may need replacing.
@@lords-electrical Tx!
Hello, Do you know is there any DC motor inside motor? head?(04:32) Is it impossible to wash with water? Does it cause a breakdown?
Hi,
I wouldn't recommend washing this with water as it can damage some of the components especially things like the bearings inside. Just use a damp cloth or wet wipe to surface clean the head.
