That’s literally the only part of that song I hate… that sample is so played out.. and it never sounded good. I don’t even like it on the original. And it sounds so out of place on this track…
The two main original samples that made the beat was berry white I’m gonna love you just a little bit more baby and 7th wonder daisy lady.. to be completely honest that’s who Rodney O & Joe Cooley sampled back in the day to make the majority of the beat for everlasting bass which metro sampled 💯
Because it's not Barry. At least not intentionally. Rodney was 15 when he wrote this song. Sometime great artists create similar sounds but no way Rodney thinking of Barry when he wrote Everlasting Bass. He was in a different kinda mood and genre
The underlying melody sounds a lot like Barry White’s “I’m Going To Love You Just A Little More Baby”…. Longest song title but sampled by other rappers like Ghostface Killah (The Watch) and Nas (One Mic)
No one has said a word about Kendrick knowing E-40 sampled this beat on a song with him & Birdman who actually still is Drake’s pocket… next level mastermind
Just realized when writing this that Like That uses the SAME Sample as Stepping on Brothers by 21 Savage. Funny to mention because both songs are produced by metro booming, just using different elements of the original track.
Leaving Three 6 out of this was blasphemy. Metro copied their version of the original Everlasting Bass sample AND Metro copied the "thug from around the way" Eazy sample that Three 6 also used in another song.
The Eazy E sample hits hard, Metro don't miss. Im so hyped for the next collab between him and Future.

Metro really reminds me of Dre with the samples
Damn! That Everlasting Bass sounds so good.
Don’t forget that the original beat was from Barry White!
Great video.
I said the same....that song older than him though, so I gave him a pass
😂
Slim thug sampled the eazy e beat as well

I believe that's the overall original sample
Michele’s voice was an unexpected (and awesome) addition🔥💚
Song is fire❤️🔥

The sample of the little kid is originally from a tv show called Gumby. 7th Wonders - Daisy Lady and a Barry White sample.
Honestly that logic sample was so ahead of its time.

The main sample is from Barry White- I'm gonna love you just a little bit more. Most of the songs mentioned sampled Barry white.
how did one single track sampled and borrowed so many parts? Metro is fire and diligent as always 🔥
I don’t understand how jarred always has a straight face.
even if they sample, so long as they put everything together and made it perfect, they are hella creative

Pharrell Williams produced this because of the 4 beats at the start

The producer is literally credited in the song name 💀
@@asbeczekgeo its a stereotype/myth in music that when Pharrell Williams co-produce or produce, there is always 4 beats following in the intro.

the beat is a 3-6 sample “who the crunkest”… they sampled everlasting bass
