After whispering sweet love with their previous 7th Mini Album [The Table], released in October of 2019, NU’EST returns in 7 months presenting another form of love with their 8th Mini Album [The Nocturne].
Demonstrating their ability to change without limit, the 8th Mini Album [The Nocturne], once again portrays the group in a new light, offering a new perspective on love.
The album focuses on “nightfall,” a moment that everyone encounters daily, when more honest emotions arise. The album unravels various aspects of the night, by realistically expressing emotions that many can relate to. Instead of portraying “nocturne” through the usual sentimental and gloomy mood, NU’EST uses various colors to express their emotions, illustrating “nocturne” as a song of the night.
The title track, “I’m in Trouble,” depicts the moment one falls in love with another with an intense attraction. NU’EST demonstrates a more upgraded transformation by adding bolder expressions to their sophisticated yet restrained performance style. The lyrics contain sentiments that grow deeper as the night falls, presenting a bolder thrill and fatal charm.
As the story of a deeper and vibrant night unfolds, listeners will be able to encounter captivating tones that awaken the senses, and also a more mature NU’EST that hasn’t been revealed before.

What I like about this group is that they are not afraid to get out of the boy group trends these days. They know how to brand themselves but at the same time can be experimental on concepts.Their raps are not heavy deafening unlike most boy groups nowadays. Their choreos are mature and sexy. It does not feel forced. They can also do cute concepts that does not even feel forced too. They also surprisngly produced a title song that feels like an anime song lol (Im talking about Help Me). Wide range of discography.Their songs have nice bass-lines. B-sides are great too. They also know how to use their members’ strengths and constantly proving that they are improving. Years ago JR was so hesitant on singing, now he is singing. Plus points that they have good chemistry and all are visuals. You dont see those things quite often.

Not sure how many of you caught this in the MV: Each member is targeting one of the others (hence sitting in the circle, facing each other with "guns" pointed). From 2:26 onward you can see: Minki is targeting Baekho, Baekho- Minhyun, Minhyun-JR, JR-Aron, Aron-Minki, making a perfect circle. The text on their phones "The night has come" is probably signaling that it's time for them to have to kill the other one. It's done in a beautiful, seductive way that almost alludes that they're obsessed with the person they're targeting (Baekho with the photograph, Minhyun following JR, JR looking through the peephole, Aron with the papers on his desk, etc.) . Super artistically, intricately done.

Yesterday, Ren cried on vlive because of his grandpa (as if that wasn't enough there are some hater messages) he called his grandma and they were very emotional. At that time the other members were watching him, when they saw him crying they all called him on the phone to support him and show their bond. They're not just "members" they are their families. I will never forget that time.

Imagine if P101 didn’t happen. We probably most definitely wouldn’t be able to see this amazing group anymore because they were on the edge of disbanding at that time. It was their last chance. The bad management of their company didn’t help either of course.

Also, I sometimes can’t help but think that Mnet used JR for attention. I have been a fan of NU'EST since the day they made their debut with their first single Face back in 2012 (it was only a few days after my birthday), and I remember being so excited that day watching their music video for the very first time on RUclips, playing their music video for Face on repeat, and following them ever since. I just knew in my heart that these boys had something very special that other groups didn't have. Over the years I've watched how extremely hard they have worked and watched how they have grown to be respectable and beautifully handsome and extremely talented young men. Their dedication and ambition made me admire them even more. All of their tears and sacrifices, yet never giving up, even when there were times they felt like all hope was lost. I've always kept rooting for them and I never gave up hope for them. Every single member: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren are all incredibly hard-working and talented individuals that make up this wonderful team of amazing performers that we know and love as NU'EST.
During Produce 101, I was absolutely heart broken when Minhyun had to leave NU'EST to go join Wanna One, but at the same time I was also so incredibly proud of him, because he actually made it in to the top 11. I knew he would. I hated seeing our boys separated and it crushed my heart, and I waited for the day that they would be reunited again like brothers. I continued to support Minhyun with Wanna One as well as JR, Aron, Baekho, and Ren with NU'EST W after Produce 101, and I was incredibly proud of them all and incredibly sad at the same time. Our boys kept continuing to work so hard and they were releasing amazing music during that year.
I had actual happy tears in my eyes when it was announced that Minhyun would finally return to NU'EST and I had tears in my eyes during the ending of the BET BET music video where it showed Minhyun joining the other four members again. I was just so overwhelmed with joy and so happy for all of them. It felt like a family reunion. With that being said, I can honestly say I've never felt that way for ANY K-Pop group before, and I've been listening to K-Pop music for many years since singers like Lee Hyori, Rain, and BoA were very popular in the music scene. (In fact, I think the only time I felt anything remotely close to this level of emotion towards a musical group was towards 2NE1), and yet this feeling still hits so differently when it comes to NU'EST. I've never ever seen a group like them before. Their connection with each other and with their fans has completely won my heart over. Somehow, compared to other groups, they just feel more human to me. More real. I honestly can't think of a better word to describe it, and I look at each one of the members and I feel as if I'm somehow part of their family too.
You see, NU'EST isn't just another K-pop group in my eyes. They are a family. A real family that love and support each other, and they deserve so much love and support not only from L.O.Λ.Es, but from everyone who enjoys K-Pop music. Honestly, how can anyone not want to support them? I don't regret it for a second, and I'm so incredibly happy to be able to call myself a L.O.Λ.E.
Now, seeing how far they've come and seeing and hearing how amazing this song and music video is made all of those years supporting them and never giving up on them worth it every second! I will ALWAYS support NU'EST and I hope their old fans and new fans will always support them too. No other group deserves the spotlight as much as our boys do. So, whether you're a L.O.Λ.E or from another fandom that still recognizes how talented and amazing they are, let's all help get NU'EST back to number 1 again! And let's help get them to number 1 many times after that too!

sameee! I jammed to their first couple of albums and i believe it was around sleep talking that i kinda forgot about them since i didnt really liked the song :( Then around 2016 Canvas was kinda ok. But after that every single song has been a bop!!
It is very gratifying to see how NU'EST is now, they are growing more and more. Which makes me very happy, because they deserve all the love they are receiving. It is impossible not to like such a perfect group, which shows how good they are on each return. And everything in this return is beautiful, giving space to the talent and beauty of each member.

As a fan of Kpop since 2010 I’ve been a big fan of Nuest since their debut. Face was my most favourite song at that time. It was the most Vi3wed Kpop debut Mv at that time and It was legendary. I learned all the lyrics and always sang it everywhere. Everyone’s expectations of them grew further and further until their first comeback. When they made their first comeback with Action not many people were impressed even though it was also amazing. They fell out of sight very fastly. The bad management of their company made it worse. Then the news of their appearing on P101 came out. Many people were sceptical about it because they were a sunbae Group and their fans said that this would be such a disrespect for Nuest to be competing with trainees who didn’t even made their debut. When they appeared on the programm their charisma was so impressive that other trainees had their eyes on them and respected them a lot. They even had to listen to their junior‘s songs on the Programm that were meant to be available songs for selections. But as the programm progressed the members got really popular. JR was known as the Nation‘s leader because he was so kind and respected. Baekho was known as Sexy Bandit after an amazing performance. I‘m still sure they were in the final lineup but their company wanted Nuest to continue so they only allowed to put one member in it.
P101 was a turning point for Nuest. Now they’re one of those prominent groups that will win on shows no matter what!
Such up and downs.. but they’re standing very strong now!!!
Yeah actually I felt that the "true winner" of Produce 101 was NU'EST :D but yeah they really deserved that because of their hardwork. Became a trainee again after debuted for 5 year wasn't easy of course.
Especially ever since it’s been revealed that one person from the top 20 was switched out of the final 11 (most likely JR), but him not making it was such a blessing in disguise (despite my heart breaking at first haha :’) . They became so successful and I’m so happy for them
YES nu'est has come a long way and totally deserve to be where they are now. Imagine all the groups that went through what they did but never got a win and had to disband...
I still remember the remarkable time of Produce 101 season 2
when people called Minhyun as CEO and Hwang Galyang
because his sharp eyes in spotting talented trainees
and insight about other trainees' abilities.
