Thanks for uploading this video. My girlfriend is getting into firearms and I have a P365 that I wasn't using after upgrading to the Glock 43x (I like the longer grip and shoot it better) so I transferred it to her. However, she is deathly afraid of a negligent discharge so she refused to carry with a round in the chamber no matter how much I try to convince her and this is with the 4 months of training since she started shooting. She would rather risk racking the slide than carrying with a round in the chamber. I tried helping her train with drawing and racking the slide but no matter what we tried that method was still too slow for my liking. After seeing your video in my recommendations I realized that an easy solution would be to simply add a safety to my old P365. Sweeping the safety down while drawing the pistol is so much quicker and it finally convinced my girlfriend to carry with a round in the chamber. Thanks for your help man. The installation process was very easy.
Got the grip and safety's from Osage. Very good customer service and fast delivery!!! Highly recommended! All parts were Sig Sauer authentic parts as well!
FYI, it is easier to drive the receiver retaining pin out by pushing from the right side towards the left side. You only need to drive the pin about 1/8" to the left until the pin escapes the retaining spring and the pin can easily be pulled out the rest of the way with your fingers.
Thank you! Easy installer safety. Note: Do not loose the small spring inside your old grip module that holds the roll pin. Part is officially “RECEIVER PIN, P365, SPRINGS”
Purchased the manual lever, spring, and detent, online. Did the cut outs of the existing grip module with a template I found online using my Dremel tool and small files. Came out perfectly. I have the P365XL model and prefer it with the manual safety.
I got mine installed tonight with the help of the video and a fellow commentator who made a video explaining the safety. My slide fit was incredibly tight and even pulling to takedown latch down was nearly impossible. Definitely a pain in the ass and yes I did slingshot a spring three times in a row.
Got the kit in the mail today and had it installed in like only 10-12 minutes!! I had already notched the grip module so just a matter of a quick breakdown and put the parts in! Thanks for a great video!
@@stn7172 I taped the area off and drew some follow lines. Carved the area between the lines with a fine toothed hacksaw and then cleaned up to the lines with a file. I'm sure a dremel tool would have been faster and easier but I don't have one anymore.
Thanks for the video. I installed mine easily and also cut the right hand lever off while I was at it, since I didn't have the new grip module and was cutting with my Dremel on the old grip, and didn't want to cut out both sides. Now it's like the gun should have been to start in my opinion.
What? One side safety? Sounds... Unique? How did you cut it off? And wouldn't that throw the balance off? I'm worried that would cause the safety to stick. I might be wrong. Love to see a picture.

I'd like to state that my takedown lever bar slipped off behind the sear and I could not get the slide closed after installation. I messed with for over an hour. Just a heads up if anyone else can't figure out how to close their slide back after installing the manual safety.
Osage County Guns can you guys tell me if by removing the MS from my factory P365 w/MS if the gun will function correctly and will any internal safeties still be operational? Or in your best guess/opinion. I understand liability and really just need an opinion on if it would be ok and remain operational.
You can. The grips are essentially the same spec where the safety lever will go. The safety lever will not work in the X-Macro because the grip is wider at the top. The X-Macro would require a wider safety lever or the grip would need to be modified to allow for clearance of the safety lever.
@@videos4mydad If my memory serves me the XL grip is going to be the grip you want. It is offered out of the box cut for the safety. This should be the one: t.ly/bfUC.
At this point no. We haven't had time to analyze the grip to determine how much material needs to be removed or how easy it will be to make a jig to accommodate it. If we're able to find time we will look into it. Hopefully Sig or someone else releases a wider safety lever which would allow it to be converted.
Just a note to the bean counters everywhere that even if this video did not result in a single sale of a manual safety kit, and even if nobody that bought the manual safety kit from Osage ever watched this video, it has over 62,000 views! That is incredibly cheap advertising for the mere cost of making this video. FYI, I'm an Osage customer.
Notched side into the spring. On the other end turn the flat pointed end sideways so that it is even with the opening. Even if not it should straighten itself. Be very careful not to shoot the detent out of the sping, it would be very hard to find! Install in a small enclosed area.
Are all the parts in this kit factory Sig Sauer parts including the grip module? Also is it true that it voids the Sig lifetime warranty? Thanks in advance.
